I was out of state in August 2024 and my vehicle was in a significant hail storm. My insurance company evaluated my vehicle and provided a list of 19 different auto repair shops that were on their approved list. They told me that it was my responsibility to pick a shop and suggested that I pick one that was on their approved vendor list. They also suggested that I check out the reviews on Yelp in order to help make my selection. I spent a total of almost 10 hours over a 3 to 4 day timeframe reviewing all of the yelp reviews for all 19 shops. Some of those reviews went back for years. There was no perfect collision center, but I did find one that had a good review for repairing hail damage. I called that shop and over the phone they gave me an appointment that was 3 months out. On the day before I was scheduled to take my vehicle in, I called to make sure that I still had an appointment. They verified that I did have an appointment. I met with my service advisor Mr. Lynn Womble and he told me that they would look at the vehicle and provide an estimate via a text message on a regular basis. The first text message I received from them was 16 days after I had dropped my vehicle off. That message provided an estimated completion date. I received another message with the same estimated date. When that day rolled around, I called that morning to see when my vehicle would be ready and was told that they needed to push the estimated date out. My vehicle was ready on the second date that they provided. I asked to look at my vehicle prior to paying the deductible that I owed. When they pulled it around, I found a small area that needed to be buffed out and reworked. They kept my vehicle for another 2 days and it was ready. If a rating of 4.5 was available, I would have given this a 4.5 rating, hence the 5.0 rating. But overall, after I experienced a few messaging issues, the hail damage to my car was fixed to my utmost satisfaction. I personally counted over 70 dings and dents in my vehicle prior to the repair, but there had to have been another 20 or 30 more that did not get counted. You would never know that the vehicle had been in a hailstorm. Lynn was knowledgeable and willing to work with me as the customer. I am very pleased with the way my vehicle looks. Walked in, asked for a quote. They said I needed an appointment. They asked if I was paying, or if insurance was paying. I said I was paying out of pocket, they said they can schedule me an appointment for October (hahahaha). I asked what if insurance paid, they said they can get me in next Thursday. AMAZING! Our vehicle was caught in the dreaded hailstorm in the fall of 2023. It is a hardtop convertible Volvo which is a very complex vehicle to accurately perform bodywork. No one else would touch it. Others told me it would take months to get parts from overseas or that it was just going to be totaled. The guys at the McNeil location took it in without hesitation. Another driver sideswiped our 2020 Nissan Altima while pulling into the parking space next to us. The driver's side door and mirror were damaged. Fortunately the driver admitted fault and his insurance company agreed to pay for the repair of our car. I chose the Caliber Collision across from the Sonic on McNeil Drive between Parmer and US 183 because it is less than 10 minutes from work. Check-in was a snap and took less than 5 minutes. Caliber called Enterprise who gave me a ride to their store on 183. My advisor Micah kept me updated throughout the repair process. Since my vehicle is a 2020, parts are hard to come by so it was difficult finding the replacement mirror glass. Micah advised me of the delay and also kept Progressive updated so they would extend my rental car authorization. Micah continued to keep me updated when the replacement mirror glass was found and installed. In the end, the "delay" ended up being a non-issue. I was able to pick up my car with all repairs completed. You can't tell that it was ever damaged. I hope that there is no need to have my car repaired again, but if I do, I am definitely going to choose Caliber Collision . read more

I had brought my car here to get the rear bumper checked out and worked on after being rear-ended. The convenience of being close by and a brisk walk home (weather-permitting) made it is a good choice. One of the technicians even offered to drop me off so I wouldn't have to walk which was great and unexpected but I insisted to capitalize on the great weather and walk. The customer service I received here was pretty great and they communicated the time frame of the repairs very quickly. What seemed like my repair would have taken some time, it was completed several days faster than anticipated. Everything was explained clearly and the check out process was very quick. I went in to get a quote on a repair for a 3 inch scratch on the rear hatch of my suv. They asked if I had insurance and when I said I didn't want to use it, they insisted I tell them who it was through. When I told them USAA, they gave me my estimate and it came back at $1100! Plus an additional 300 if they had to remove decals. I can do that for 50 dollars at the most. Ridiculously overpriced. This quote was also not to repaint an entire panel. Only the 5x5 patch. I'll skip my review of their work as I don't have my car back yet. This review is about their service. First, let me say that everyone there couldn't be nicer. The desk staff was great, everyone very polite, etc. This has been drilled into them. BUT my car was supposed to be done worst case scenario by last Friday. I was on a tight deadline so when I learned it was nearly done, I took my rental car back and got a ride to wait. Once there, I was told it would be about 2 hrs more! They took me to see it, standing all proud like I should be happy. But it wasn't done! Everything they were doing should have been done the day before! Ok I'll wait. And wait. Another problem came up with a sensor that again, should have been found before! This was just really poor management. I don't care that it's a "very sensitive" car blah blah blah... you have one job. Do it well - but in a timely manner. I had to go back to the rental place and who knows when it will be completed! Just six weeks after I bought my brand new truck a guy swiped it in a parking lot and messed the side up quite a bit. I was always told take it back to the dealership if you want authentic parts and things to match. My dealership doesn't have a body shop, but both they and my My insurance company swore by this place so I went here. Not only did they do an amazing job where everything matched they were professional and had amazing customer service. They walked me through my damage and gave an estimate time frame on the spot with what they would do to fix it and worked with Enterprise to pick me up. They texted me with updates and greeted me as I arrived and walked through the repairs and it looks like it never happened. This might have been the worse auto body repair I have ever dealt with in Austin. There were major defects in the work done and the owner was full of himself, did not want to take the time to make sure I was happy, and from what he told me regarding the defects, he doesn't know what he is doing. I recently had to take my car to another body shop for some minor work and when the person saw the work done, he had to laugh and explain why the work looked so shoddy. When I had to bring my car into Caliber on McNeil I was made to feel welcome from the minute that I walked into the door. My service advisor Micah did a quick walk around with me and we talked about what needed to be done and a time frame for the work to be completed. This place is amazing! I went in just for a price estimate for installing a driver's side mirror and having it painted to match. Frank was super friendly and helpful. He let me know, first of all, that AutoZone screwed me over by overcharging me for the mirror part I had ordered (that is a different sad story -__-). Frank was able to install and paint my car mirror the same day I went in for about an hour. The cost was just over $100 (way cheaper than I expected). When another driver ran into me, my car was taken here without my approval. It spent about 4 months in the shop. I was given back my car, and told an All State rep had ok'd it to go home. I got home to find out they never plugged my speakers back in. So I took my car back in. Then when I got it back, my headliner was knicked. On a car that was 3 months mine and 4 months with them. Now. Today, a year later, I realize when they replaced the headliner they jacked up my visor. (Which I hardly use, obviously) It doesn't rotate. I'm so freaking angry. I bought a BRAND NEW car in April and then earlier this month suffered a hit and run on MoPac. My fender was seriously damaged as well as scratches and dents down the entire driver's side including the front bumper and side mirror. My poor car only had ~3000 miles on it.
