Convert Collision replaced my bumper after a random metal plate fell off a dump truck and hit my car (scary). I appreciated how they got me connected with a rental car quickly and worked with my insurance seamlessly. I admit that it was hard to keep up with the status (it really shouldn't have taken long to replace and paint the bumper after receiving the parts or looking for additional damage). I'm giving 4 stars because they did not paint match at all. The front bumper is way too white and doesn't match the rest of the car. Cost was reasonable, though this was through insurance so it didn't matter much to me. read more

Update 1/24/18: I couldn't be happier and more thankful for what Covert and Elvin did to find the issues with my car and get it corrected. I finally have my baby back and she drives JUST like she did before the accident. I will forever be appreciative of Covert and Elvin Pool. Thank you for treating me with kindness, giving me excellent communication and for getting to the bottom of my issues. Update 1/22/18: working with Elvin and he is taking care of me. Has apologized for the way this has been handled and assured me this is not how the Covert family runs their business. I will update again once we have a resolution. Please use any other body shop. Communication is horrible, takes forever and repairs are not made correctly. My accident was 10/25/17, today is 12/20/18 and I'm still fighting with Steven Runkle to get my car fixed. I chose them because it was Covert and it was close to where I was hit. Please do not make the same mistake, please choose caliber collision as I've used them in the past and my experience far exceeded this. I did have a great experience with someone who stepped in and tried to help me but I wish I had his name. There was a repair that was promised but when I arrived it was obviously not completed, his gentleman took me straight back to the shop and the guys corrected for me on the spot. If I could give Covert Collision negative five stars I would. We had an older truck stolen and recovered, the thiefs knocked out the ignition key. We originally dropped the truck off at Covert's repair shop on 183, and they were kind and accommodating. After a few days they called and said it would be more appropriate to take the truck to Covert's collision center, so we picked it up. Again, kind and accommodating. At Covert's collision center, we met an estimator named Manual Colunga, who seemed to be in a bad mood. Fine, we all have bad days. We explained the situation to Manual and we could immediately tell that he didn't want anything to do with the job, he was grumpy, negative, and explained how they might do a poor repair. I should have left right then and there, but I thought, "he's just an estimator, he's not going to do the work, the guys in the back will take pride in their work." We left the truck. A few days later we got a call from the insurance company and they said that Covert recommended totaling the truck. The truck is not totaled, it needs a steering column, the part is available for $250, the truck is worth $17k - $25k. Manual, for whatever reason, just didn't want to do do the job. We went over to pick up the truck, and Manual said it would cost $250 to release it. I asked for what, and he responded, "for storage and for wasting my time." I responded that he has to be kidding, and he got up out of his chair like he was going to come at me. I was shocked but I de-escalated the situation because it wasn't worth making a scene. I paid the ladies at the desk $250, and drove the truck elsewhere. Dan, Kenny, Chance, Philip, Brad, this man needs to be fired. He does not represent what I know about you or your family. He's an embarrassment to your organization, and I guarantee you he's driving customers away. I, for one, am gone. read more

First class service and work. Some communication glitches, but those can usually be taken care of. Quality work and there's ownership of any problems that arise. There are other body shops that likely have quicker turnarounds, but the ability to escalate the issue and local ownership are a huge difference. read more

Had a really good experience here with Debbie! Getting my car worked on is never fun but she made it as painless an experience as she could. I had a confusing situation being out of town and we had to do all estimates over the phone. Debbie was very gracious in coordinating everything for me, made the pricing estimate very clear, and I got my car back in a timely manner, actually I got it 4 days before what was quoted to me! The quality of work is top notch too, my car isn't the easiest to work with, and they took the time to have Tesla specialists come out to calibrate the car, plus they took the time to explain everything that was done to the car computer-wise. Don't waste your time. I wanted to get my car fixed. First time went to the shop for an estimate WITH AN APPOINTMENT, I had to wait an hour before he just took a few pictures, and that's it. Because it's expensive to fix, we decided to use our insurance, I don't know what's going on between them and State Farm, the guy kept telling me State Farm is bad, don't cover this that, and we charge you for the extra. She was extremely helpful after such a traumatic experience and just made me feel like she cared about me as a person and immediately asked if I was injured in the accident. The car was done in less than a week and it looked perfect. This is a bold statement considering that I am very particular about my vehicle. I went by Covert Collision to see what my options were for fixing a few minor dents in my car doors. I was greeted by a guy named Robert who was SUPER helpful. He gave me a quick estimate of what it would require to fix everything and then also gave me his opinion on how I could save a few bucks. Robert even went above and beyond to buff out one of the scratches on my vehicle while we were standing there. I decided not to go through with the work required, but if I ever do need any major collision repairs for any of my vehicles, I'll definitely be back. Would not recommend. Customer service is lacking. Quality of work is terrible. Had to take car back multiple times for rework. Took my vehicle to a different dealership after multiple times of trying to get Covert to fix the issues and finally getting my insurance to agree. The other dealership found that not only was the work done at Covert incorrectly done but they also pointed out places that Covert over tightened breaking parts and places that Covert left bolts and clips off when they said they completed the work. And just to make this disclaimer, I did not tell the new dealership that it was previously worked on or that I had been to Covert. I simply stated issues I wanted corrected and they walked me through what was needed to correct them. These issues included wind noise at the windshield, hood and bumper not lined up and one of my fenders looking unaligned. All of which had been fixed or replaced by Covert. read more

Overpriced. Took two days more compared to Calliber. Vehicle was dropped off Monday morning (I made an appointment and paid for the parts the week before). Disrespectful. The agent got impatient that I didn't just accept his lack of urgency. He called me "Dear" when I asked why it was taking five hours to install a bumper and check to make sure the sensors were working. Finally finished the car at 4:30 pm on Friday, too late for me to get it, which required me to keep paying for the rental car for three extra days. With our lease almost up on our CTS-V at Covert Cadillac, this gives me pause concerning Covert's attention to this area of their business. read more

What should have been a simple repair has now taken six weeks, I had to order a part myself that they "couldn't get." An actual joke of a car repair place. Covert Collision was recommended to me via GEICO after my wreck. Little did I know choosing them was a disastrous decision. The staff was kind and inviting when I first arrived but that belied a much greater dysfunction. The first issue stemmed from not delivering on an agreed completion date. I dropped the car off on July 8th and was told it would be finished by July 17th. Despite this, the car wasn't finished until July 23rd. If it weren't for my coverage, the costs of this completion time would have been costly. For what they lack in punctuality, they worsen significantly with their egregious dishonesty. During the 18 days they had my vehicle, they took it upon themselves to steal my personal belongings from my vehicle. These include a $40 phone charger and well over $15 in change in my two cup holders. I contacted their head office repeatedly looking for answers. The first time, I was told I'd receive a call back within 15 minutes. I heard nothing for the remainder of the day. Clearly, their management was avoiding addressing the situation. After I finally spoke to someone after three days calling, they insisted their repair team hadn't taken the charger. When you're already in a sensitive position paying hundreds of dollars for repairs following a wreck, this isn't an acceptable resolution. In closing, I don't want to discredit the work they did on the car. The repairs have been satisfactory. However, you cannot trust these people with your property. If you are forced to use their services, DON'T leave any belongings in your car. Regardless of how much faith you might have in your fellow man, the workers at Covert cannot be trusted. They will steal your belongings and refuse to be accountable. I highly recommend using a different service. read more

I worked with Robert on getting a few parts painted for our truck. He was professional, very knowledgeable, and just great to work with. He was up front and open with the cost and timing. One I got car back there were some issues with the clear coat peeling off where tape was put tape residue on bumper they removed the tape residue but it left me bumper white it supposed to be black. They use some type of tool that melted one of my interior seats. Getting the run around via email and emailed the manager and he never responded. This place is horrible last of customer service! I was originally told that my repair would take 23 days. It ended up being almost 2 months. Every time I called Monica to check on the status of my car, I was told it'd be ready "tomorrow." When it was finally done (5 weeks after it should have been), the car makes a weird new noise. I took it back and waited over 2 hours there only to be told to bring it back after the weekend because they couldn't figure out what the cause was. Needless to say, I will never be doing business here ever again. read more

We've had good experiences with Covert Collision in the past, but not so much this time. They've had our car for almost a month-and-a-half, which has been inconvenient to say the least. What makes it more frustrating is the lack of consistent communication from them and their inability to provide us with a loaner car, even though their repair schedule has resulted in us exceeding our insurance policy's 30-day rental car period. I hope we don't need collision repair work done any time soon; but if we do, I may be inclined to shop elsewhere. read more

I will never go back again. Such a terrible experience! My car was damaged by hail. I checked online and finally decided to go here because they got good reviews everywhere. Two weeks later I was notified that my car was ready to pickup. I went back and found a dent so I talked to John who was my adviser. He is just a liar and trying to fool you. He never gets back to me since then even he promised to do so. While I'm the one always calling back to check on status. One time the reason he gave was 'your car is in the body shop right now and the guy who worked on it is on vacation, I should hear from him by tomorrow then will update you' and I never got the callback. One day I pass by the collision and found my car was parked at the exact same spot as I came by two weeks back. I got really mad, so I just went back and took my car back with the dent there. Later round I noticed they drove my car for 200 miles, but the 'Dent Works of Austin' is right beside within 3 miles! One day later, I cannot even start my car! It was towed to dealer yesterday. I don't know what they did to my car in 4 weeks but it is horrible and scary. Please don't go here and don't be fooled!!! BTW my car is only one year old without any accident or issue before! read more

OK, I worked with Manuel and service was good and they delivered 90% of the job on the day promised. But here is the whole story. I take my vehicle in after an accident to have an estimate and repairs. When I arrive I wait for a few minutes and Manuel came out to look over the car and take pictures. As he does this he states while looking at my Green Bay Packer decals "Oh you're a huge Packer fan huh?" I told him yes. A week later he schedule me to come in and have repairs competed. I come in and drop my vehicle off (Green Bay Packer decals affixes and intact on my front windshield and rear tail gate window.). I have to circle back that afternoon to get my remotes (decals still affixed and intact). I get a call from Manuel my vehicle is ready. He tells me that the bumper protector is bent and he ordered another one that will be in on Monday but everything else is ready. They even buffed out a scuff on my door where someone hit my door with theirs. I thanked him for that because they didn't have to do that. When I go in to pick up my vehicle it was the end of the day. I pull up and Manuel met me at the door. We walk over to my vehicle and something didn't look right. I paid more attention to the bumper that was repaired as he was showing me and the door that was buffed out. On my way home I noticed the decal on my front windshield was missing then I look through the rear view mirror and the decal in the back was missing also. I immediately called Manuel on his cell and asked what happened to my decals and his excuse was "it must have happened when they were washing it." Really!?! The decals had been on my vehicle for over a year. I have washed my vehicle maybe 20+ time since I put them on. I have had these stickers that faded on other vehicles that I had to replace and you have to really scrape to get them off. When I look where the one in the front was you can actually see where they scrapped to get it off. It actually sounds like a sour-pus hating football fan is working there or something. Those stickers where nowhere near the bumper they didn't have to even be touched. This is blatant vandalism and theft. Manuel is supposed to get back with me on what happened to my decals but I haven't received a call yet. Honestly there is no excuse for my decals to have been removed. read more

I was in an accident in August 2016 and the insurance company of the person that hit me had me go their body shop which ended up not being able to do the work and they then told me that I would need to find my own place. After dealing with Covet Ford for over 15 years I decided to call Covert Collision Center and got Manuel on the phone who had me come in right away. I came on over and he informed me that there would be a delay in time as the parts would need to be ordered. He looked over the damage and told me that the truck was safe to drive in the mean time. Through out the following months Manuel stayed in constant contact with me which I appreciated very much. Once everything came in Manuel called to let me know I could come drop it off and also worked with the insurance company to make sure that I would have a rental in place while the repairs were being done. Again, Manuel stayed in touch with me as the truck was being worked on and got it back to brand new for me. Very appreciative of Manuel's professionalism and the work that the team at Covert Collision Center did and if ever needed I know where my business will be going! read more

Took my Jeep Patriot in because of noises coming from the transmission. They told me it was the clutch and throwout bearing. The clutch is not covered under warranty so Paid $1600 for new clutch only to surprisingly hear the same noise again driving away. Took it this time to Aamco who informed me it was NOT the clutch or throwout bearing but the pinion bearing in the transmission which is covered under warranty. I do ride share for a living so could not afford another 2 weeks to a month to get it back so tried to trade it in. It turns out that Southpoint overcharged me on the car. Despite paying $4000 down plus 2 years of payments, I owe twice what it's worth. I am so furious with this horrible dealership. A friend of mine had to take his car in as well and they had it for over 1 month! They kept telling him they were working on it, but it was never in the shop when I looked. Scam artists, and just terrible mechanics. I will never buy a car or have Service done there again. Not even if it's covered. If they do not cover it this time and give me a rental, I may hire an attorney. read more
