Accident damage
Norman F.

David Collision did a fantastic job repairing front end damage on my Toyota. Paint match seems excellent, body gaps are better than pre collision, all inner fender, bumper and under hood clips and fasteners were replaced correctly. I hope I never need to use their services again, but if I do, I will not hesitate to do so.

I had my car here during the transfer of ownership when Rick bought this from Larry at David's Collision as it became Classic Collision.

From the start, Jeff was awesome--super patient, answered all my questions, and kept me updated even while I was traveling. When I picked up the truck, Atnan walked me through everything and made sure I was happy with the work. The customer service here really stands out. The repair timeline was actually pretty fast on the shop's side. Most of the delays came from the insurance back‑and‑forth, not the team doing the work. If you want things to move quicker, my advice is to start your claim before dropping off your vehicle. Once everything was approved, they had my truck back to me in about 9 business days. I also got text updates the whole way--submitted estimate, parts ordered, in line for paint, all of it. It made the process way less stressful. It's been two weeks since the repairs were finished, and after a power wash the paint and trim still look amazing. No mismatched panels, no weird texture differences--just clean, factory‑fresh work. The attention to detail really shows. I uploaded my before‑and‑after photos so you can see for yourself. The difference is huge. My truck looks brand new again, and I'd absolutely come back here or recommend them to anyone who wants quality work that lasts.

I let him know I was only looking to get it fixed and not replaced. My front bumper had detached from the vehicle. He gave me the price of $250 and I agreed. Instead of waiting in the lobby for the repairs to be done he asked his employee Eli to give me a ride home. From 9 am to pick up at 11:30 am by Eli that was very nice of them and service was fast. When I returned Atnan took me to my vehicle and explained everything that was completed by Alejandro. My vehicle looked good and I'm very happy with the overall customer service and repair by all three gentlemen. I definitely recommend American Elite Auto Body!!!

So I put it off for several months. However, the painter's situation in Austin only got worse as inflation reared its ugly mug. After contacting a dozen painters, I found one shop that only wanted to fix the dents and do some spot painting for 8 to 10 grand and a second shop that estimated a minimum of 20 grand to do an entire paint job. There was no way I could afford or would tolerate those ridiculous quotes. One of the other 12 painters was a one-person shop named Wendall's Autobody and Paint in my town, who said, "he was busy but that I should call him back in a few weeks." Needless to say, I was frustrated, but one day, while traveling around town, I called Wendall and asked if I could bring the car by for him to look. My wife and I went by his ranch property with goats and chickens in the yard and an oversized work garage, and an hour later, I had hired a painter. We thought it would take him at least 2 months the paint the car, but he had it finished in 5 weeks. He gave me an unbelievable price, and I gave him a well-deserved bonus for exceeding my expectations. My wife and I also had a great time chatting with Wendall at his rustic shop, where he does incredible work. I highly recommend him as a standup painter and person.

I took a small motorcycle fairing repair/paint job to Wendall and was very pleased with the price and absolutely impressed with the repair. I generally find small independents take more pride in their work and that is certainly the case at Wendall's I definitely will use him again.

(I dropped off my vehicle 3 different times. All within a six month period.) I will say that they do honor the work that they do complete on your vehicle so the year warranty your given you can return if you have an issue and it will be resolved immediately. I was lucky because the two different times I had to have my vehicle repaired one was due to hail damage and the second time was another car side swiped my entire passenger side of my vehicle. I had to have both front and rear doors replaced. Had to have the doors adjusted three different times because after the repair the door wouldn't shut completely useless the door was slammed which I couldn't stand to have to tell every person that rode in my vehicle to please open and slam the door shut. There was issues with parts being delayed by the manufacturer which honestly Caliber does not have any control over that. Insurance companies drag there feet when approval is required before parts can be ordered or even your vehicles repair can begin. Which again Caliber does not have control over. I recommend always have rental vehicle covered under your insurance when you need to have a repair done because that will make things less stressful and easier on yourself if your a daily driver and need a form of transportation to make a living everyday. No matter how hard and how much hard work was put into making me vehicle look brand new again... The truth is anytime your vehicle is in an accident don't expect it to ever be the same because it is nearly impossible. I will say that forms of communication email, text, and calls I was very appreciative of. I didn't ever have to call and check on the status of my vehicle. I was given an update and kept informed about every part during the repair process which I really enjoyed.

Our vehicle's tail gate was damaged after being rear ended, and they would not blend the paint since there was already sun damage on the section that was not repaired. When I picked it up, the gate was not closing properly, so they pulled it into the garage and they made an adjustment. I had to bring it back a couple of weeks later for another minor adjustment to get the gate to properly close. Ultimately, it never actually closed like it did before getting rear ended, so I had to get insurance to approve getting it properly fixed at a different shop where they found serval issued with the initial repairs that had to be corrected and did work that had been neglected, including blending the paint on the rear gate.

Jon Poche did a nice job; always delivered what he promised; when promised. I was a return customer. But now Jon appears to be nowhere in sight; has apparently left the business to Jacob; and now it has gone to hell. I took in my lovely Lexus sedan for a $4,000 rear-end-repair job; and this was my experience: (1) I was told the job would take two (2) weeks. It took five (5) weeks. Without explanation. (2) When directed to pick up my car any time after 3:00 p.m. Friday; I was upon arrival at 3:15 p.m. told by Ramon that it would be at least another 90 minutes; and Monday morning would be better. I waited. (3) When handed my keys at 5:00 p.m., I found the interior absolutely covered in dust!! Jacob and Ramon then cleaned up this only-too-obvious mess. What body shop would return their customer's car with the cabin covered in dust? (4) 5:15 p.m.: One more attempt at departure; only to find my seat belt retractor was broken. Jacob and Ramon had to call Rocky, who found that the retractor spring had not been re-attached securely. Incompetence. In short: Jon Poche no longer visible. This shop has gone down the tubes.
