We went here for the first time the other day and cannot wait to return! Our bartender Allie was so nice and attentive. So many good options to choose from, it was hard to decide. We ordered the crab dip, truffle fries, crab cakes, mojo pork grilled cheese, everything was so good and came out fast. Highly recommend! read more

Touristy, tasty, loud. I arrived on a Thursday evening late for dinner. I started with an amazing (slightly overpriced) drink, the Pilar Old Fashioned... An old families made with Run, served straight up like a Manhattan. Love it. The drink alone? 5 stars. I opted for the Cuban sandwich and blackened chicken soup. Soup was tasty. Sandwich was REALLY good. Prices where 6 reasonable too The good: really laid back and chill atmosphere. Quality food without being excessively expensive. Reasonable portion sizes too. The bad: the bar area is loud. VERY loud. Don't plan on having a quiet conversation. Between loud folks at the bar and "too old for this" patrons doing shots like college kids on spring break.. It's kinda rowdy. The ugly: it's definitely embrace the tourist quality and positions itself as a Key West type of restaurant. Except Key West is 340 miles away. read more

So many good things to say about this place! Let me start with the ambiance. The interior decor is really cool and I loved the nods to Ernest Hemingway. We sat on the patio on a nice Sunday afternoon and it was beautiful and peaceful - just a great dining experience. Our server was so kind and friendly. She was able to make suggestions about the menu and answer any questions we had. Now to the food and drinks... For drinks we ordered the Old Fashioned (made with rum instead of whiskey) and the Intracoastal Southern Style beer (on tap). The Old Fashioned was really good and now I definitely prefer my Old Fashioneds with rum! The beer was good, albeit very light - next time I'll try the Dragon Point. We tried the Key West Bowl, Caprese Chicken Sandwich, and my son got the Kids' Chicken Fingers. The Key West Bowl was amazing! Such a great combination of flavors and the plantains take it over the top! The caprese chicken sandwich was also delicious... that pesto sauce *chef's kiss* mmm so good! My son attests that the kids' chicken fingers are top notch! And the fries... So good! We took a bread pudding to go and it was awesome! Definitely don't skip dessert here! This restaurant has quickly become a staple in my family. The food is fantastic. Every single item is absolutely delicious. (We've been here so many times and gotten so many different things.) Our favorite is probably the Key West Bowl. The service is always STELLAR. The ambience is wonderful. We love sitting on the patio under the lights. Quick summary: Overall - decent experience! Friendly & attentive service from hosts to waitress. Great atmosphere. Clean establishment. You can tell all of the food and sauces are made in house. Now for the nitty gritty details: *Not pictured items that were also ordered: Draft Dragon Point IPA, Pain Killer, and Mojo Pork Empandas. [Drinks] - 10/10. Both the beer and mixed drinks were very good and fairly priced. [Mojo Pork Empanadas] - 6/10. a little disappointed in these! The pork inside is super flavorful and the sweet spicy sauce it's paired with is to die for! BUT.. they have changed the recipe for the crust. It used to be a nice flaky crust with a great crisp, unfortunately now it's very difficult to eat as it just falls apart with every bite you take. I wish they would revert to the old recipe. [Linguini Carbonara] - 10/10. I added the blackened shrimp (+ $9) THOUGH they did not need to be blackened as I feel it actually took away from the show stopping pasta. It was perfectly flavorful, decadent and creamy. The portion was very large so it can make for easy left overs. [Island Steak Sandwich] - 4/10. This sandwich sounded so good on the menu! The steak was cooked well however the sandwich as a whole I would describe as dry and not as flavorful as the description in the menu. The plantains seemed to take over the profile of the sandwich and the steak slices were cut very thick making it a little awkward to eat. *We upgraded sides getting the truffle fries, for $6.50 you are better off ordering regular fries as there is not much difference in taste. [Key Lime Pie] - 10/10. Precisely how a Florida Key Lime pie should taste! Loved the coconut accents. It was creamy, light and the hint of butter from the crust was amazing. The Cuban sandwich had these small dried up pickles.... I'm wondering if they pre make these Cubans then throw them on the pressor if an order comes in. Came in this evening around 6:30 pm. We live part time in the Bahamas so we know fresh. Conch chowder a little bit fishy, never encountered this where we live on Eleuthera island... no conch is frozen, but theirs may be. Cubans were sad, absolutely bad taste ... dad and mom couldn't stand their chicken tavern tacos... no salsa to put on them, very dry. One of the best Cuban sandwiches I've ever had, and I've had them at dozens of places! With the conch soup and conch fritters, it was an excellent meal before heading to the airport. The service was very fast and friendly, and all of the patrons were enjoying the atmosphere and experience. I look forward to my next visit. read more

The manager had no compassion whatsoever for service animals for the military. He accosted us twice and was in direct violation of the ESA clause that is recognized by the federal government (ADA). Waiter and hostess was amazing. He needs to take classes in compassion as his personality is sub par. We will never return to this less than compassionate place read more

Dont tell me its whole and its not we know what a real cuban place would give me. Anyway, this place was delicious drinks were good. Hemingway's is a really great place to enjoy a meal. Recommend making a reservation as you may have to wait as we did for a table. Sitting outside was really nice and we all enjoyed the ambiance of the patio. We came during the lobster festival that starts August 8th and runs into September. I ordered the lobster fritters and another person at the table ordered the bisque. Both were absolutely delicious, really good! As an entree I ordered the bowl that came with black beans, white rice, maduros, and for a $4 upcharge you can get snapper instead of pork. The snapper was great but as a person who is useto eating cuban style black beans and makes it at home; I've had better. I'd still recommend the dish though, it's filling and one of the more reasonably priced items on the menu. Visited 08/08/2022 Visiting from NJ, my wife and I came here with my daughter, son-in-law and 4 grand daughters, one of which (Hi Rozie!) just happens to work here. We came on her recommendation although this was our second visit. We loved the décor and ambiance of the place. Very lively and obviously a very popular place for lunch and dinner. We started with lobster/corn fritters, which everyone loved. Some hummus and pita for everyone and a skirt steak for me (my favorite steak) served m/r as requested. Frankly I can't remember what everyone had, but I heard no complaints. Service was very friendly and the drinks were unique and interesting... again, no complaints. Plan/reserve ahead. Started with coffee con leche that was perfection. Coffee was an indication of what was to come. Conch chowder had a great blend of spices and chunks of veg and conch. We went with the grilled octopus for an app; grilled and topped with an awesome pesto sauce and chunks of crazy tasty pineapple and potato. Yum! Opted to share the rib platter and glad we did. We dined on the patio as the sun was setting to the view of old growth oaks bearded with Spanish moss. The temperature was perfect. Started with cocktails - a perfectly balanced mojito and a winter menu old fashioned with star anise and cinnamon, nuanced with vanilla scents and caramel undertones. Started with perfectly fried conch fritters, hot and crispy on the outside, soft and moist inside, served with a spicy perfectly paired remoulade. Next course, flavorful tomato based conch soup and a whole hearts of romaine Caesar with creamy dressing and a generous dusting of finely grated Parmesan cheese. Both were perfectly seasoned and balanced. Main entrees were the Cuban sandwich and the skirt steak sandwich paired with golden truffle fries. The Cuban sandwich is the most superior to any I have had in my 20 years in Florida. The chimichurri skirt sandwich on coconut bread was on the sweeter side but tasty. Ended our meal with hot beignets dusted with powdered sugar and Cuban espressos. Every dollar we spent was exchanged for an excellent dining experience immersed in the warm flavors of Cuban Key West. My husband and I tried this Cuban inspired restaurant while on vacation. After being seated on the very pleasant patio, our friendly waitress encouraged us to try the croquettes since we had never had them before. And they were so tasty. We then shared a Cuban sandwich and the spare rib dinner, a full rack with a delicious BBQ sauce. Overall a great experience! read more

A nice find down in Melbourne. We were visiting the area and met some people at this place. It is pretty big, with some outdoor seating. At 2:30 on a Monday, it was pretty busy. We got an order of the yardbird sticks and tostones with pork. Both were pretty tasty I ordered the Cuban for lunch. One of the better ones I've had north of Miami. My wife got the tacos which she enjoyed. No drinks as we still had a lot of driving to do. Our waiter, Nate, was great. Well done. Definitely consider this place the next time we are in the area. read more
