This is what food should taste like. Every bite is a flavor explosion. I have eaten at high end restaurants that would be put to shame by this enchanting establishment. It was perfection from beginning to end. From the friendly staff to the feel of sitting in a small cafe in Cuba, it was an experience to remember. Let's talk about the food. I had my third Cuban in three days and this one was easily the best and most authentic. The plantains with mojo criollo were incredible. My son's steak came with the most delicious dipping sauce that made parsley taste like far more than a garnish on the side of a plate. The side salads were so fresh and had the most wonderful pickled onions on top. My other son had salmon that was perfectly cooked and came with a side of quinoa like I've never tasted before. I had the absolute best mojito I have ever had, and to top off the meal I had a beautiful cafe con lèche that was perfection in a cup. This is most definitely a hidden gem. Definitely start with dessert first. The tres leches was divine. It was so moist and fresh. There was just enough moisture that the cake soaked it up without crumbling. NIni's is fabulous. Authentic Cuban food, flavorful, well presented and just delicious. I wanted to try everything we got the sampler appetizer platter and it whet our appetite for dinner. Everything was great but highly recommend the pork plates. The Cuban was so good we saved the leftovers and they made a great breakfast sandie the next day. Highly recommend Nini's. Our annual trip to Melbourne isn't complete without making a stop at Nini's. They have the absolute BEST mojitos! The menu is full of authentic and flavorful Cuban dishes. Authentic Cuban food at this place. We were a party of 4 and started with plantain chips, yuca frita and tostone relleno with picadillo. Yum! Dinner was excellent. Jess and my niece had churrasco steak, my daughter had vaca frita and I had palomilla. We all loved them and were super full. Big portion size. Black beans were really good and the mojo sauce was incredible. For dessert we tried the tiramisu and the tres leches cake. Both were delicious. Cute decor and excellent service. A really cute little restaurant near the beach. The decore was on point and made for a very comfortable atmosphere. I got a chicken sandwich, and the bread was the perfect amount if crispy. Yum!!! This was a great meal. We got our order to go. The restaurant is rather small but quaint and a cool vibe. It feels like you could easily become a member of the family. A couple of outside tables were available as well,if you have a pup with you or would feel more comfortable in the outside air. We only waited about 20 minutes after placing our order even though they had a mostly full house. All of the servers were very nice. Now to the food! We got: The Nini's Combination. My boyfriend loved it because he had a variety of meats and it was all very flavorful and a large portion. Chicken wrapped in bacon with pineapple pincho. So delicious! So much flavor! It came with rice, beans, and maduros. The only complaint I have is that I wishing had more maduros on the platter. Just a few small on the side. I wanted more! I had plenty of everything else and was able to make another meal out of the leftovers. We also got a Cuban with fries to share for lunch the next day. Also very good. Both the sandwich and the fries! It fed 2 people lunch. I had to have some of the boiled yucca with onions and mojo. Yes! So good! It's not cheap,and we spent over $70 on our to-go order. I visited the restaurant on a Saturday night, right around 8pm. We were welcomed by a young lady asking if we had a reservation. I said we did not and so I was told the wait time was going to be about 40 mins. At this time there were clearly open spots in the restaurant ( I would say about 5 tables). So I provided my contact information. To my surprise we were called like 5 mins after...? Apparently one of the "reservations" they had, cancelled at the last min. After my visit it was clear that the "reservations" comment was nothing but a pretext to discourage customers from waiting for a table. The great news is that the food was good! Well... whatever they had available. Our server first words were: we don't have bread. My only suggestion is, if it is so important to do minimum effort at closing, just close earlier. I'm not sure I want to do business with a dishonest staff. Sadly the food tasted good, but I don't see myself visiting them again. read more

The inside of this establishment was quaint. I loved the decor and beautiful pictures of Cuba. It was challenging to order food the person taking my order was not able to understand my request well. I just wanted to order a classic Cuban cuisine that I was used to, which was baked chicken, yellow rice, black beans, and plantains. I got my order to go. The wait time wasn't bad. When I got my plate home to eat I tasted the chicken, and it was over cooked. The meat was completely dried out, even though they given some gravy on top of it. I was very disappointed. After all of that, I ended up throwing out the complete plate of food. It was a complete waste of money and time. I guess what I would like moving forward is if I'm coming to your establishment to purchase food, I'm wanting fresh food. Excellent food and gracious service. We ordered lechon - a pork dish that was so tender and flavorful. It came with black beans and rice or Yucca. We took the beans and rice and WOW sooo good. For dessert we had a Cup of Cuban coffee which was smooth and strong. We'd come back anytime. read more

If I lived here, I'd be here every week with my girlfriends. This place is the best spot for mojitos hands down! I came here with hubby and had the salad with beef and he had the shrimp. I had the passionfruit mojito and wish I could have had more! The decor was very fun, when back in the 50s Americans could go and hang out. I wish I could come back and try more food.
