I recently requested service through Hello Tech they where referred by a technician from Xfinity installer, I contacted Hello Tech who scheduled an appointment on Wednesday and they agreed to come out on Friday at 10:00 am I took the day off work early Friday morning the emailed with a rescheduled appointment for Monday no reason given I was not I was not consulted with, on Monday morning 1:30 am to be exact Hello Tech emailed me notifying me that I would be charged $50.00 for a cancellation (I did not request) this company is unreliable and I contacted them on Monday morning inquiring about the service they said I had cancelled I informed them I did not this was unacceptable, and there is no way to conduct the business. I requested to speak to the manager, which was based out of Los Angeles and informed them of the situation he stated that we had canceled. I informed them that I had not I informed him that his technician must've stated that I canceled but did not this company contracts other technicians to do this work I strongly suggest Xfinity does not refer this company any longer the individual I spoke to the manager his attitude was as if he didn't care I suggested that they would get a bad review and he blew it off. I sat on hold for over an hour and a half and got nothing accomplished. I chatted online to be told I have to wait 48 hours for a response from a tier 2 supervisor. I used hello tech about two years ago and they did a good job so I decided to go through them again when I needed my tv mounted. I got mine mounted a month ago and yesterday half of the tv mount fell out of my wall. The technician that put this up didn't even mount it correctly and it was right in between two pieces of wood so it wasn't even holding it up properly. Thank goodness I got to my tv in time before the whole thing fell out and damaged my tv also. Just to be safe I wouldn't use them. I am very disappointed. Hello Tech charged me twice for the same job. The technicians had no idea what they were doing 1) I spent two hours with technician to set up security system. The point of hiring Hello tech service was to save my time but I ended up spending time and he did not complete the job - I ended up having him install only the security system and not the TV mounting - Hello tech charged $219 me full amount for the job that was partially horribly done and for the job that was not done. 2) Mary supervisor promised me that the Tech will come in to do TV mount at no cost since they already charged me for that service - Guess what they charged me $318 again. The TV mount was not done correctly and the tech made one big hole in my wall unnecessarily and then covered it - sloppy job Hello tech - they only want to charge and their technicians have no experience. I have spent almost five hours just to contact the supervisor and still no response and they took $318 plus $219 = $537 - for the service that they partially provided or did a sloppy jobs. read more

My service rep, Martin was truly wonderful. He took care of everything having to do with my laptop & printer wireless setup. He also examined and cleaned my older printer and explained to me what part would need to be operational, along with his suggestion on how to save money when buying the necessary part. He was incredibly patient with me, even though I had what must have seemed to be limitless questions! I found him to be friendly, knowledgeable and genuinely interested in helping me acquire my goals. I will need HelloTech's help installing a router in about a month from now and I absolutely want Martin to be the one to do it. I could not be more impressed with the service I received today. I also joined the annual membership because I think of it as "insurance". I love the idea of being able to call-in any day or time to get assistance over the phone. I used this service to install a Nest door lock on my home because the Best Buy Geek Squad doesn't service my location. I have the same exact lock installed on a vacation home I own that Best Buy installed with no issues. My tech called to let me know he was running an hour late which was fine. I appreciated the communication. But after installation was complete, and I was having trouble connecting the lock to the Nest App, the technician told me it happens and to just keep trying and he was running late to the next appointment so he had to leave! He left a job unfinished, AND he is supposed to be a "Nest Pro" which means he should know how to troubleshoot the products. It took me over an hour to figure out what the problem was, and when I finally got the app connected, the door was not locking properly with the app. Which is HUGE!!! The lock bounces out of the deadbolt hole in the door, which leaves my home unsecured. read more

Very responsive before I paid. But the TV was installed crooked. The tech tried to convince my wife it was just a matter of perspective view. I measured the height and there was over 1 inch difference in height between the top left and top right corners. I tried to contact support but it was much harder to schedule a tech compared to before I had paid, I sent several emails. Eventually I gave up and ended up looking at the mechanism myself and figured out it could just be force-rotated to correct the height difference. This is the second television mounting company i have utilized. The first broke my mount and then my 65" Samsung TV. Hello Tech didnt break anything. Their quote included a tv mount. It wasnt the quality i needed. Iended up purchasing the new mount directly from thectech for ever $300. I was ok with that but i adked him what abount the cost of the bew mount that was invluded in my quote ( $140). He told me that cost was already deducted. When i looked at the charge it was almost identical to the initial quote with the mount. When i called they said it was because he unmounted my tv. My tv was on a stand not sttached to a mount. All i had was part of the broken mount atrached to the wall. He popped it off. They charged me $90 to do that. Total cost $260 without the mount. Previous quote $270 with a $140 mount. WTF. It also took him 5 hours to mount the tv on the wall! It was ridiculous. The customer service said he wasn't supposed to charge extra. I ended up paying over $450 to have a tv mounted to the wall. They kept giving me the run around when I'd call for a refund that they agreed I should receive. They played this game of keeping me on the phone for almost an hour, then saying someone else would call me. This happened at least 4 times. I never did get refunded the $75 that they overcharged. William tried to help but could not do all that was needed. Seemed inexperienced in working with a docking station and multiple screens and devices. One of my monitors that he appeared to set up correctly, later that afternoon just went black although the monitor still appears to have power. Also, the computer thinks it is displaying on that monitor but I can't see anything. William seemed eager to get out of my house after a certain point. Before he left, I had to personally test different functions which he should have initiated himself. There were multiple errors which he tried to fix after testing. He basically gave up. Very disappointed in service and outcome. William was very courteous and probably did his best. I personally called the company to set up the appointment so that I could describe what needed to be done. Unfortunately William appeared to lack the technical skill needed to take care of the complete set-up. I have the exact same components to work with at home as in my office. Everything was set up correctly at my office by the IT technician. But the HelloTechnician failed to do the same job correctly. read more
