William tried to help but could not do all that was needed. Seemed inexperienced in working with a docking station and multiple screens and devices. One of my monitors that he appeared to set up correctly, later that afternoon just went black although the monitor still appears to have power. Also, the computer thinks it is displaying on that monitor but I can't see anything. William seemed eager to get out of my house after a certain point. Before he left, I had to personally test different functions which he should have initiated himself. There were multiple errors which he tried to fix after testing. He basically gave up. Very disappointed in service and outcome. William was very courteous and probably did his best. I personally called the company to set up the appointment so that I could describe what needed to be done. Unfortunately William appeared to lack the technical skill needed to take care of the complete set-up. I have the exact same components to work with at home as in my office. Everything was set up correctly at my office by the IT technician. But the HelloTechnician failed to do the same job correctly. read more

We need to fix our subwoofer - no more sound. So I called this morning, Harrison answered my call right away. He was very patient and knowledgeable. He gave me a reasonable quote and tell me if their technician can't fix the problem, there is no charge at all. But unfortunately my husband decided to get a used subwoofer on Craigslist soon after Harrison had set up the appointment on monday(4/2) afternoon. I had to call back to cancel my appointment. Harrison was a little disappointed, but still being very polite. I'll definitely use their services in the future when there is a need. read more

Still no resolution. Jason F akas Super Tech stole items from my Ring Doorbell Pro kit. No one from HelloTech has responded to my text and phone calls regarding this theft. I had to call at least 2 times and got aa c/s rep named .Jade actually called the Super Tech on my behalf. After Jade spoke to Super Tech he actually called me back (still no call or reply from anyone in HelloTech management team) and ho said that he talked Jason F. (Super Tech) about the missing items. He said that Jason stated "we didn't need the items", um when did it become Jason's job to tell customers what they do and don't need? He was never ever authorized to take the accessories from our home. He simply took them. I have a video of him taking the items. This is down right theft from one of HelloTechs "Super Techs". They are vendor for Ring. I hope that Ring evaluates their relationship with Hello Tech and finds a 3rd party vendor who hires honest technicians. read more

THIS SERVICE IS A SCAM!!!! Please go with Best Buy. I will tell you what HelloTech and Francis E. did to me. After booking a $25 service, Francis told me via chat that my computer needed "additional services" and it would be $79. I told him that I lost my job, needed my computer for resume building and didn't have $79. He came back and said, "I'll make you a deal. $9.99 for 12 months!" I know it's more expensive in the long run but I couldn't afford $79. In the end, they charged me $79. I contacted them immediately and everyone I was passed to argued with me that I got the $79 service. I sent them photos of the chat where Francis E. promised $9.99 but somehow that's not enough. I told them that I will not be able to eat or feed my child if they take $79 but they don't care. The entire thing was a scam! They used scare tactics to get me to agree to a more expensive package then screwed me on the payment. I will dispute it with the bank, but that won't put food on my table this weekend. By the way, my computer is just as slow as it was before they did their "service". read more

I made an appointment for a big screen TV mounting service with Hellotech for Saturday morning. Their standard process is to have a technician call and confirm the appointment. The tech called the same day and confirmed for Saturday. Unfortunately when Saturday came, no one showed up or called to cancel/reschedule. I called them and they said that my order for the install had not been confirmed yet according to their records. They apologized and said they will send someone out the following day (Sunday). On Sunday no one showed up or called. I finally got a hold of a supervisor and she said that weekends are tough for them. If they knew that then why schedule appointments on those days? So I made an appointment for a Wednesday from 5:00pm - 7:00pm. A few hours later one of their reps called me to try to see if I can be available during normal business hours instead. The rep said that they only have one person that can do this particular job and it's difficult to get that person scheduled. The rep also said that since I didn't have anyone to help their technician lift my 80" TV, it makes it even tougher for them to schedule. Really? I'm paying them to do a job, didn't realize that I had to put in manual labor in order to secure an appointment. I've very disappointed in their lack of scheduling and communication. I cancelled the order and will be getting real professionals to install the TV. I gave them 1 star because everyone I talked to at Hellotech was very nice. Unfortunately "nice" doesn't get my TV up on the wall. read more

After experiencing an "auto adjustment in progress" message on my PC, I signed up for an in-house appointment and received an email message to contact them to have their remote online service solve my problem. When I contacted their chatline to clarify this, I was told that they do not deal with BIOS problems. The HelloTech video clip featured a bright and chipper young man quickly solving a customer's issues on site. It seems that they do not have any service techs, only service by phone and internet. A very misleading ad which makes me wonder about that company. A warning should have been their frequent mentions of their BBB rating, which are in effect meaningless. read more

I did not have a good experience. Let's start with the technician not showing up for the appointment (after I took a day off work to make sure the work was completed). When the tech was 20 minutes late, I tried calling the "24/7 customer service" phone number. I couldn't reach anybody. The automated phone system continued to loop me in a vicious circle - rendering me unable to even leave a message for a call back. Out of desperation, I tried the live chat feature. That took the experience from bad to worse. Philip was the agent - who essentially told me "I have no tech notes on this order, I don't know why he has not shown up". The agent was not only pathetically unhelpful, but rude. I did finally get a call at 8:15pm at night from a very apologetic customer service agent, but it was too late to do anything. Buyer be advised - the technicians that are assigned to provide services are contracted by Hellotech, not employees. These contractor "apply" to take the jobs Hellotech takes from customers, then charges a premium, then assigns the work to a contractor that has applied for the work. My tech simply failed to "download the application" and "thought the appointment was for another day". While he was apologetic and nice, it cost me a day of work and in the end, my TV remained on the floor. I ultimately went with another service. read more

Eric was very nice and courteous, but I would not use Geekatoo service again because they advertised that if they can't help, you don't pay. I paid.
