Before choosing a company, I compared several TV mounting businesses on both Yelp and Google. I ultimately decided on Bay Area Wall Mounts because of their established reviews and the photos of their previous work, and I'm glad I did. Ismat installed our 65" LG C6 TV along with an LG S95TR soundbar above our fireplace and mantel. I was initially unsure whether the fireplace and mantel would make the installation more difficult, but he handled it without any issues and made sure everything was centered, level, and positioned properly. One of the biggest things I wanted was a clean installation with no visible cords. They were able to create a power bridge system that concealed the wiring and routed everything to a nearby outlet. They also left us with additional connectivity so we can add two more HDMI devices in the future. The finished setup looks very clean and professional. The price was fair, although perhaps a little on the higher side compared with some options I looked at. That said, I would rather pay for quality workmanship and have the job done correctly than simply choose the cheapest option, especially when mounting an expensive TV above a fireplace. Overall, I'm very happy with the finished result and the quality of the installation. I wouldn't hesitate to use Bay Area Wall Mounts again for any future TV mounting needs, and I would definitely recommend Ismat and the team.

I was reluctant to mount my TV above my fireplace, but unfortunately there was not another configuration that would work well. I even had to downsize my TV, and despite multiple changes to the original request, UMS was super flexible and accommodating. They came through on time, and knocked the job out in a little over an hour. I opted for conduit vs a recessed cable run, but it looks super clean and professional, as I envisioned. We have been so pleased with our new surround sound. 3 years and it's still one of our favorite things we've done. When our Frame TV's backlight died (do not recommend), we were so happy with his work the first time around, we didn't bother calling anyone else. Rob and Alex are very friendly. They are extremely knowledgeable and do excellent work. It is always a good price as well. We also did a fireplace build-out so one of the speakers had to be removed for that. The installations were not exactly straightforward. The main TV was going over an original brick fireplace, and I chose a pull-down mount, which requires much more precision and skill than a standard TV mount. I'm the daughter of a long line of carpenters, so I tend to notice how someone approaches their work. From the moment Jay arrived, I could tell he was extremely knowledgeable and skilled. He took the time to prepare properly, worked confidently and carefully, and I could immediately relax knowing that everything was going to be mounted securely and correctly. Watching someone who truly knows what they're doing is such a pleasure. He was also incredibly clean and respectful of my home. His wife worked alongside him throughout the installation, and the two of them were exceptionally efficient without ever making the work feel rushed. He was also wonderfully resourceful. I had planned to purchase a separate bracket for my soundbar, but he found an elegant way to attach it using the existing TV mount, saving me about $90 while actually giving me a cleaner-looking installation. I really appreciated that he wasn't just there to install things -- he was thinking about the best solution for my setup. This is a follow-up on my previous review where I said I ended up contracting Alex for another job,…read morewhich was to install a dedicated circuit for my computer. I really appreciated Alex's patience with me as I was discussing various different circuit types and the socket to use where I initially stated with thinking of a 120V 20A circuit with a 5-20r socket. He came up with an initial plan around cabling and circuit breaker required and we had agreed on it. Over a few days I felt I wanted more capacity for my computer and decided to go into the 240v / 30A range which would change the build requirements entirely; Alex was extremely adaptive, never complained, and we talked through what that would require and agreed on the new build-out which would use 10/3 wiring with an appropriate gcfi breaker. I wanted to use a specialized l6-30r that had a visual consumption display, which he was fine with and I would purchase. When evaluating the path he'd need to take to install the wiring, he was always insistent on doing it the right way and was honest when a particular route was outside his abilities and advised if I wanted a particular route done that someone with more specialization would be more appropriate. He also would go out to buy the proper materials and did not up charge on material cost; we agreed that I'll pay what the costs were as long as he had the receipts for them. Install of the 240v / 30A circuit was over a period of two days; he was 90% done the first day and the circuit was operational. Fortunately he didn't gave to drill through the wood beams to route cabling and managed to do it through the ceiling light openings instead. The remaining 10% was just patching and painting the walls. Alex was really good about covering areas with plastic sheeting for protection. I felt he removed the minimal amount of wall necessary to do the job. There was one snag on my end where he inspected the l6-30A socket with display I got and noted that the markings on the socket were really strange (it only had one hot, neutral, and ground input); we decided not to use it and he would go out and get the appropriate socket and also do a paint match for the walls. His paint job and patch work was amazing; I couldn't tell that it was worked on at all (aside from the really slight paint hue due to matching not being entirely perfect but you'd have to look close to determine that). He did a beyond good job that I was happy to include a significant tip in addition to our agreed upon labor rate. Would definitely work with Alex again!
