There were some people sitting inside the restaurant but not to the point it was packed. The place looked like a small local joint. Very quiet and not much noise. I got combo C for $23. It consisted of a rice with grilled pork chop and an appetizer. I got summer rolls where there are shrimps and vermicelli inside the wrapped summer roll. The mint inside the roll brought in more flavor that made it very tasty. The summer rolls were very chewy though so I didn't really like that. Everything inside fell out. The rice was very tasty but they gave small portions! It did not even meet the top of the rim. Wish they gave more. Also some of the lettuces were pink with pink dots so I had to take them out of the rice platter and summer rolls. Also the prices outside of the restaurant did not match the prices inside the place. I've been several times now and I'm ALWAYS consistently satisfied. The menu is simple. The execution never fails. The price is commensurate with the location. Anytime I'm ordering I'm greeted with a friendly smile and the order is taken. The items never take more than 15 minutes (you can order online & fetch it without any waiting if you choose). Finally got the chance to try the pho and sandwiches!! They are all very deliciously tasty. Me and my daughter tried the Viet Style sandwich/beef pho there and both are delicious. I then took home a grilled pork sandwich - didn't get to eat it until the next day and amazingly just 3 mins in the toaster oven wow wow wow - the best grilled pork sandwich I've ever had! Everything was horrible. First when I ordered the food she was not even happy like I'm not sure if that's her face or what. Then after I ordered and pay in cash I was waiting for the change which she didn't give back but I didn't say anything since it's was only some change but still. I never went to an establishment like this because I didn't pay with credit card so not sure why she didn't want to give back change even if it's not much. Moving on to the food the pho was bad because the stuff you put in the noodles yourself and it's not on the side like most places. It's inside the noodles already so you can't even put how much or how little you can wanted to put in your pho. Then of course I don't like the taste after that. Also got the sandwich and not happy about it because I never seen a sandwich that looks like it's on a diet. Definitely wouldn't come back. Even though there were 4 people in the party, we had ordered 2 dishes to try before ordering. We aren't sharing food. You cannot expect everyone coming in to order food at the same location since yours was a "fast food" type service. Also there is also lack of instructions for the menu and order options. The child try a bite but didn't like the food and didn't eat anything. The adults were not hungry after the initial tasting and decided not to order more. Regardless of the change amount, the cashier should automatically dispense the change. I didn't know they expect everyone to order a dish when you walk in. Who said everyone that walks in has to order a plate or food. Some people are not all hungry when they walk in. Came by this spot because it was close to work. When I ordered the first thing I asked was do you have black iced coffee? The reply was no. Was like ok so you only make pre made coffee with condensed milk? And the lady replied yes. So saw the beef banh mi which was different from the traditional banh mi with pickled daikon, carrots and cilantro. Sandwiches make a big difference when you have the crunch and slightly pickled taste. So basically it was a beef sandwich which was ok. IMO Service was fast and friendly. Since the time I first caught wind of this new spot for Viet cuisine, I have been coming here for takeout whenever I get the chance. I love their food and the prices are reasonable, not too expensive considering the usual prices in the area. There used to be another restaurant in the neighborhood I would go to for Viet food, but after my first time at Hello Vietpho I became a loyal customer. I also recommended this place to my friends and colleagues. The staff is really friendly and always greets me with a warm smile whenever I walk in, and I love the vibe and atmosphere inside (like the music! I sometimes use Shazam to find out the names of the songs they play haha). I usually get my order (either the Viet style bánh mì, grilled pork chop pho, and/or spring rolls) within 5 minutes. During the times I went there, I also appreciated that they usually try to put the food inside a paper bag instead of a plastic bag (unless the customer asks otherwise). Their food is absolutely delicious and very filling! I like how they have the option of making the bánh mì a little bit spicy (I'm a big fan of spicy stuff even though my spicy tolerance is not very high lol), which was actually a new thing for me since none of the Viet places I went to in the past offered that option--I had to add the hot sauce myself (or maybe it's just cause I never thought to ask lol). Lesson learned. This is a one and done spot for me. Apparently on a slow, rainy afternoon it's difficult to follow one small request for "no beansprouts" but rather than just just a few I seemingly got "extra" beansprouts. I don't get it. Most people would just send it back but I'm perfectly capable of picking them out myself. Ridiculous. Spring rolls were soggy and not good. Beef pho was extremely skimpy on the meat. Take your money elsewhere...to any spot in Chinatown and you'll likely find a better bowl of pho and spring rolls.
