Most recent visit was above and beyond. Especially for a Sunday night dinner! We (party of 2) waited less than 15 minutes. Greeted right away by a server named Joshua, who was incredibly welcoming, helpful, and kind. He is definitely a good addition to the already great Hello Sushi Team! We went with AYCE and enjoyed just about every bite. If you are a roll eater I suggest a larger party as their rolls are 5-8 pieces. More people offers a better chance to try a variety of rolls. I personally love Philadelphia rolls, the mango roll, and disliked the Las Vegas roll. The rice to fish ratio was ON PIONT this particular visit. I have been searching for a consistent quality and delicious sushi spot for years now and Hello sushi has ended the search! read more

I would NOT recommend this place. Food was decent and service was terrible. It was pretty busy when I visited which is understandable however my party came across many issues. We got sat at the bar and placed our first order for AYCE. It took us 30 mins to receive our order but when the food came to us it wasn't even our order! Another waitress from another section came to help us and turns out our waitress didn't even input our order. When our order finally came out we didn't even have plates or utensils. We placing a second order and it never arrived. After sitting around for 2 hours we only got one round of AYCE and terrible service! Every time we asked our waitress for something she would ignore us and were barely helped by other staff. read more

Hello Sushi is located in the same plaza as Target and Baskin Robbins, close by T- Mobile with plenty of parking. I came here on a Friday night with my husband and some of his friends, around 6 pm. We had a table of 7 total in which the staff were able to get us a table right away. We ended up choosing the All You Can Eat option, $25.99 prior to tax. Although you can also choose a la carte. There are numerous of choices on the all you can eat option so it may be worth the cost to do that instead. Anyways, for this gluttony of an option, you are given 3 rounds and can mark on a paper what items you wish to order. Because we had a large group, 4 of the 7 had their own paper and the rest of the 3 of the 7 had their own paper. After you get all the items you marked for the 1st round of food, you are given back your paper and may order the 2nd round and so forth. Food offerings were good and items tasted fresh. There is also salad, miso soup, edamame and other appetizers on the all you can eat menu if you want change it up between sushi rolls and sashimi. I do want to mention though that the rolls that we picked were not wrapped tightly and so they did started to unravel when picked up with a chopstick. That seemed to be consistent in all the rolls we ordered. Also there are some non rice rolls for those that may be interested in that. I wasn't really a fan of non rice rolls (I guess I am a purest) and miss the texture of the rice. These rolls are rolled with vegetable instead of rice and I felt that the fish used for 2 of the rolls I tried was kind of mushy. But anyways, service was attentive and friendly. The servers that took care of our table were good at removing used dishes and refilling water without having to ask. Overall, our dining experience was great and would recommend this place to those in Orange County looking for an all you can eat sushi option. read more

Came here on a Friday night and they were pretty packed. We went with the a la carte because my family knew we could not make AYCE worth it. I wanted to love this spot because I remember trying it togo a while back and thinking it was so good. To start off our meal, we ordered the Spicy Edamame, which was just that, spicy, but it was lacking flavor. For the other appetizer we ordered the salmon carpaccio, which I would not recommend, it had ponzu and this white mayo-like sauce that was not good. We ordered a variety of nigiri pieces, which included cajun tuna, salmon, yellowtail, escolar, salmon egg, Seabass, and bluefin tuna. My favorite pieces were the yellowtail and escolar. Yellowtail was sweet as per usual and the escolar was super buttery, which just melted in my mouth. To be honest, looking at the bluefin tuna was kind of upsetting because it costed more, but it looked exactly like the regular tuna. As for the classic rolls, we just ordered the tuna roll, which in my opinion, was too big in cut. My table ordered three specialty rolls, which were the dragon, orange, and rainbow. One of my favorite things was the crispy rice spicy tuna. The crispy rice was not too hard with the perfect amount of crispness and spicy tuna had good flavor. The reason I could not give them four stars is because they were super unorganized. To start off, our server came to us and asked if we had gotten everything and we stated that we were missing three items. When she came back from talking to the other staff, she stated that we should have already received the sashimi combo, but when we stated we did not, she looked as if we were lying. But after further discussion, she went to the back and notified the chef that we had not received our sashimi combo. While waiting we received another dish that was not correct in size meaning that the salmon carpaccio for the a la carte menu should include 5 pieces of salmon, but we were given a plate with 2 pieces of fish. Our server was quick to send it back and correct it. After some time had passed, we finally received the sashimi combo. I have had better places so I will probably not be returning to this spot. read more

Hello Sushi offers a pretty decent selection of sushi varieties for the ayce option. My friend and I thought the food was good and the fish was decently fresh. We weren't wowed out of our minds but they did offer fosh freshness and good service, so we can't complain. I tend to have a more adventurous palette, so I was hoping for particular seafood on the menu, such as amaebi and sashimi. However, they did offer some premium options: uni (sea urchin), hotate ( scallops), and King octopus. I do see myself coming back here when I'm in the neighborhood. The price is reasonable, service is good, and food tastes good as well. Honestly, those are good reasons to come try this place or to come back. read more

This place was wonderful! Staff was fast and efficient! Sushi quality was very good! In particular the nigiri was wonderful, big cuts of fish with just the right amount of rice. It's not all you can eat all day. Yes last call May be 9:30 but they decide what time they close down the all you can eat. We arrived 8:40 and they decided they weren't gonna do all you can eat at 8:30pm. There were no people waiting and their excuse was that they had too many people waiting. No waitlist on Yelp or able to put yourself on waitlist or check an update of "no more all you can eat" checking. Don't plan to come here by 8:00pm or you will get booted out to a order single dishes only menu. What a waste of a drive to come down an hour here and get a lame excuse. First time experience and never coming back. All just hype from Instagram videos and TikTok's, nothing special here. read more

So yummy AYCE meal! Appetizers Miso soup 5/5 has a nice kick to to! White rice 5/5 delicious Heart attack 5/5 the best one!!! There was 11 of us and my group got 11 pcs of a lot of things most people wanted in 1 round out of 3 ayce since we had a 2 hour limit with enough time left to celebrate our friend's bday. Start with the sashimis first and for couples, i think it would be best to split the nigiris to help with finishing the struggle, so 11 pcs for each individual person isn't necessary for that or split things in half. Things kept coming out with giant cutting boards that scared us because of how full we were and they'd made us pay $1 extra for each leftover pcs. Thank goodness we all came hungry and were able to finish everything! Good service for coming out quick, having fresh sushi, and celebrating our friend's bday to make it really special for him! read more

I've always passed by this place since it's on the corner of the street, but this was my first time trying it. My friends and I came here for AYCE sushi. The menu prices had increased from the menu prices I saw on Yelp. Our dinner for a weekday night was $30.99 per person for AYCE. Before getting seated, we had to scan our temperature with the device on the wall as well as use hand sanitizer. We got seated in the outdoor area which was set up really nice with string lights and tables spaced apart. All the servers we had contact with had great attitudes! The service was really great. Onto the food, Hello Sushi had a lot of new items I never had before like Salmon Bites and a Pizza baked roll. The garlic butter edamame was surprisingly really good! One thing I noticed was their unreliability in amount of pieces they gave. For example, we ordered an 8 piece roll as stated on the menu, but received 2 instead. This occurred several times with different menu items. We couldn't complain much though, since we were so full from other items we got. Although my expectations for uni at AYCE restaurants are not high, the uni here was really terrible. I'm not sure if it was because we came at dinner or that's was how it should taste, but I would not recommend ordering it. Overall, this place has really nice indoor and outdoor atmosphere and great service. The food was okay; there are some hit and misses. It's a place to try out if you're looking for sushi in the area. read more

The wait to get in was very long so plan ahead is a major key. The service was arguing with each other which made things tense. Some of them were rude but luckily we had April come to our rescue, she's a sweetheart. It's important to pace yourself, it isn't like the tiktoks you might've seen but order a modest amount of nigiri and you can get it looking like the board in the picture I have. The sushi tasted so good and I couldn't get enough of the eel. Had we not experience the short temper of one of the male waiters, it would've been a great experience. read more

The reason provided was puzzling: apparently, due to having only one chef on duty, ordering a la carte would ensure our meals arrived promptly without delay. This explanation seemed illogical to me since we would have ordered the same amount of food regardless of the serving method. Disheartened by this unexpected restriction and feeling unwelcome due to the rushed explanation, we made the decision to leave. This is the first time happens to me in the same night i got bad experience from hello sushi. 1. Dirty plate was served to me 2. I order ice water for my drink. As i finished half of my drink, i found a sponge left inside my cup. It was white sponge. So i requested for new cup and new drink. All i got just an apology from server. I have been to this restaurant for years. And this is the first time i experience. In this situation usually, the manager should come to table to apologize and offer something in the house or maybe at least a discount on the check. But i did not have the manager come to the table for apology. Nor compensation...for bad experience i got from the restaurant. Other than that .. everything else is good. The point is I was in a party of 9 and our service was good until the food came out. But becuase they automatically charge you 18% gratuity fee it felt like they no longer needed to do a follow up to see how everything was for us. Once food was delivered we no longer saw anyone. We wanted to order more food and ask for refills but after about 45 minutes of waiting we just decided to pay and leave. As a former employee DO NOT EAT HERE. They fill old ginger buckets with ice, wait for the ice to melt and scoop them to serve water. Sometimes will fill a large clear container with water that gets cross contaminated when people wash their hands. Their random cups are usually mouth side down on a rusted counter top. Never fully dry. It's absolutely disgusting inside the kitchen. There's dried food everywhere and I don't think they've ever once cleaned any corner of their establishment. This "mom and pop" style aesthetic they have is super unclean for a place to serve raw fish. People buy into it cause it's convenient but truly I'm surprised more people haven't gotten sick from this place. read more

The udon noodles must be made in-house because I've never had udon this chewy before. Perfectly al dente with an incredible texture--honestly, the noodles alone are worth coming back for. The jumbo katsu was also delicious - crispy on the outside, tender on the inside, and definitely lived up to its name. Simple menu, but everything feels intentional and well-executed. Sometimes you really don't need a huge menu when you know what you're doing.

I always have a hard time deciding which rolls to get because after a while they all start to sound the same. Why don't sushi restaurants give you the option to create your own rolls? We opted for rolls with mostly salmon in them. You can't go wrong with salmon. They tasted fresh and overall good. The restaurant feels small. Not to sound picky but there seems to be a lot going on around the register area which is a little distracting when you're trying to enjoy a nice meal. You want to feel relaxed and comfortable when eating good food. But the overall service is friendly. Might possibly come back.
