The bow bar is adorable and the barkeep is on it! The drinks were strong and presented very nicely. Service was a little slow, but otherwise it was a great experience!

finally caught this place on a quieter day, and I'm so glad I did! Every other time I've tried to stop by there's been a line out the door. This spot is clearly always buzzing with some kind of event. The staff were so sweet, and I loved chatting with them about all the cute little decor throughout the space. I got a vanilla latte with an extra shot and honestly, it was amazing. The Hello Kitty snacks all looked incredibly tasty too. I'm already planning my next visit. I'm actually thinking about booking the Bow Room for a tea party event! Highly recommend checking this place out.

Located at the Irvine Spectrum, this spot has plenty of parking. I tried their Bow Room Afternoon Tea, which was $65 per person and an 18% gratuity is automatically added to the bill. They offer a set menu, but I enjoyed being able to choose my own tea. Each guest gets their own pot of tea and there is a time limit of 1 hour and 30 minutes per table. The staff were friendly. The decor throughout the space as well as the presentation of the food and drinks were really cute and made the afternoon tea experience more enjoyable. One thing that I wish was different is being offered more savory items than sweets.

This is one of several officially licensed Hello Kitty Cafes in Southern California and the first cafe of its kind in the United States. The cafe is located within the Irvine Spectrum - close to where the Ferris wheel used to be (on the Nordstrom side). There is another location in Santa Clara and another one at Universal CityWalk. [Parking]: Irvine Spectrum has a large parking structure. Try to park in the Irvine Spectrum Center South Garage for a shorter walking distance. [Atmosphere]: Cute cafe with plenty of Instagrammable decor. [Menu]: Yelp's top highlighted items are Strawberry Cake and Macarons. They also sell Hello Kitty-shaped cookies, donuts, and Hello Kitty merchandise. Please note that this is a Hello Kitty-themed cafe so don't expect to find other Sanrio characters here. [The Bow Room]: The Bow Room is a speakeasy that offers afternoon tea for $65 per person (last seating at 5 PM) and cocktail service (7 PM to 9 PM on Wednesdays and Thursdays & 6:45 PM to 9:45 PM on Fridays and Saturdays - 21+ only). Reservations can be made through Tock. *** Strawberry Cloud Matcha (matcha latte with strawberry cold foam - $8.00): The matcha tasted really weak and the drink tasted more like a green tea latte from Starbucks. *** This is one of those places where visitors come for the vibes more than the drinks themselves. Our party arrived a bit late so maybe our party will give The Bow Room a try next time.

If you're at Irvine Spectrum and looking for a unique and memorable dining experience, you have to check out this Hello Kitty Cafe! The ambiance was absolutely adorable, with a fun and charming atmosphere that makes the experience feel special from the moment you walk in. The food was delicious, beautifully presented, and perfect for anyone who loves a cute and creative dining experience We enjoyed their afternoon tea, which came with a preset menu featuring a variety of treats. The service was friendly, attentive, and welcoming, making our visit even more enjoyable One thing to note: the portions are on the lighter side, so I wouldn't recommend coming extremely hungry because the preset menu may not be enough for a full meal. However, it's a wonderful spot to relax, take photos, enjoy the atmosphere, and create a fun memory I'll definitely be back again for the experience, ambiance, and delicious treats!

This was a really cool and cute tea experience so i'm glad i was able to do it. For the price point i would do it just this once. My friend and i did the bow room afternoon tea which is SO pink and gold and hello kitty perfection! They started us with chocolate mousse and strawberries which was delicious and i picked the honeyed pear tea (non caff) and my friend got earl grey. My tea smelled and tasted amazing. The sugar cubes are pink hello kitty shapes. Our tea came with 2 of everything: cucumber hk faces, beet hummus pitas (tiny), 2 egg salad waffle cups, lemon tarts, blueberry scones. chicken salad croissants, macarons, strawberry tarts, and little petit-four type cakes. Everything was quite delicious and i did get full from it and i didnt even drink all my tea. It seems like the pots are endless refills but nothing else is. I was disappointed that they gave us one small pat of butter and one little thing of jam for both of us - at that portion size we needed 1 each. Had a nice time! Would like to revisit the "to go" counter next time. Everyone was SOOO friendly and helpful but not smothering. Everything is perfectly hello kitty which i love.

Once upon a time, this Faerie Queen was with her nostalgic friends and this was the place of choice. We enjoyed the cutest macarons, teas, and sandwiches. Hello Kitty was on point- right down to the adorable sugar cubes. A pink fantasy! The end.

I'm a huge Hello Kitty fan since 2001 (don't ask my age) so my review might be a bit biased. It's so exciting to walk in and see the little Cafe. Everything is super cute. The employees are welcoming and helpful. There's drinks, donuts, ice cream, cookies, pastries, souvenirs, etc. On this trip, I ordered oreo donuts, brown sugar donuts and a strawberry cold brew. My sister ordered the horchata ice cream. Everything was so nicely put together and tasted great. I just hope they bring back the fruity pebble donuts.

So cute! Literally everything is pink! I came for high tea. It's a very small room so you have to book in advance but I liked the intimacy and service provided that comes with a small area. It's expensive for what you get as far as food goes (food was good but there wasn't that much and it didn't leave me feeling full) but I went for the experience and it didn't disappoint.

This is the hidden gem in Irvine, you gotta come here to experience the fun and aesthetics adventure of Hello Kitty Cafe inside the Bow Bow Room~!!! I used to come to order Togo from the counter and take pictures, but this time I gotta come inside the hidden room yay! You must RSVP in advance to save your spot , as it's very limited. My first time here brought from my girls to celebrate Mother's Day. I love this place because it's Hello Kitty themed and I cant stop taking pictures of all the cute pastries, decorations, and the taste of all the delicious food freshly made. They taste good and delicious! The cute tea pot was served hot and tasty fragrant aroma , I ordered the Peach Blossom it came with a hello kitty shaped punk sugar, everything is so cute!!!! Service was awesome. The server explained each tier of the tea set what's in it and the choices of drinks. And best if all, helped us take group pictures. Love this place! Strongly recommended for any kind of celebration ~!! For the Hello Kitty lovers this is a must come place!!!!

People who know me know that the key to my heart is Hello Kitty. To say that I'm a huge fan would be an understatement. When I visit the Irvine Spectrum, a visit to the Hello Kitty Cafe is a requirement. During my previous visits, the 10-year anniversary water bottles were always sold out. This time, both the 18-oz and 32-oz were available, so I purchased both. They had a complimentary limited edition Year of the Horse bookmark that was free with purchase, so I got 2 with my 2 purchases. The water bottles and bookmarks will be added to my growing collection. It took a while for my friends to pry me away from Hello Kitty. This is my happy place. Great service and the cafe is beautifully decorated in a pink Hello Kitty theme. Great treats too, but on this particular visit, I came for the water bottles.

Came here to try their cake. The cake, cookies and macarons are boxed and ready to go as soon as you purchase. The mini donuts are made fresh and took a while. They tasted like churros and were really good. The price of the cake was high. There are some cute photo ops in the store and some other merch to purchase like t-shirts. Will come back to try their tea service.

This spot usually has a line out the door. We went the other evening and saw that there was no wait so we decided to check this place out. The dining area was closed off which was fine since I just wanted a cold drink. I ordered the strawberry iced teas which was very refreshing and the macarons. The macarons came in a pack of five and they were ok as far as flavors. Hopefully I will can come back for the full dining experience in the near future.

Ask the Community - Hello Kitty Cafe

Can I order items to go (hot chocolate/pasterys) or do I have to do the tea experience?

You can order items to go.

    How do I make reservations?

There's a link to make reservations on the website. https://www.sanrio.com/blogs/hellokittycafe/hello-kitty-grand-cafe or directly through Tock https://www.exploretock.com/hellokittycafe

Do they still offer the white Hello Kitty figure ceramic cups for sale when having tea service?

They have 3 types of ceramic cups, hello kitty theme. Expensive no special prices (not even with a purchase" also most of their stuff is always sold out you'll only get drinks

Are there alcohol options during afternoon tea?

    no they arent any options.

Is the Dole Whip still vegan since it's served with vanilla soft serve?

The vanilla flavor is not vegan as it contains dairy but the fruit flavors are vegan as long as they're Dole.

When you go for the afternoon tea service, are food/drinks included in the reservation price or do you pay for that separately?

It's a deposit so you pay $60 per person, minus the deposit as of 11/2025

How much is it for the afternoon bar service?

It's a la cart. You order drinks and desserts off the menu .

How many of the food racks will 3 people get at the Bow Room? 1 rack seems too few since 1 person would be left out..

For 3 people you only get one tiny piece each- they fit it all onto one-3 level Hello Kitty rack. Kids will not even get full off of the tiny servings. No other food options for dietary restrictions (vegetarian) even though you can reserve a table…

Is the tea time available on Tuesdays?

Tea time is every day of the week, I believe. If you are looking at their calendar and the days you want are disabled, means that they are all booked for that day. Usually, you need to make reservations two to three months. I hope that was helpful!

Do you have to make reservations? Or can you just go in and buy some desserts?

Good morning If you want to have afternoon tea in the Bow Room I recommend that you make a reservation. If you want a treat to go they also have an over the counter line to…

Can you bring small dogs for the lunch tea in the bow room?

Pets are allowed at the Irvine Spectrum, there is not seating inside the cafe, aside from the bow room. Pets are not allowed in the bow room.

How much is reservation for each?

    $60

I made reservations for tea with my twin daughters who are 9 &have tons of allergies & aversions. I just want to take them for the experience. Will they still charge $60 each for them if they can't eat any of the food? Special needs child?

Yes, it's $60 each. I'm vegetarian, so I couldn't eat several items and it was still $60. This is just my experience, I would call to double check.

Can we get lunch or food at the cafe with out any reservation?

No... you HAVE to make a reservation for the pink room. But you can get like cookies, macaroons, coffee, donuts, and drinks from the cafe. The pink room has more options, but as far as actual food like burgers and stuff that's non existent here.…

Do they run out of their sweets like the cakes and macarons, etc later in the day?

I know the donuts are what takes the longest sometimes they shut down the machine. The macaroons I never had them say they are out.

I don't want to do the Tea! Can I come in just for coffee and dessert?

Yes you can. You can just order from the cafe counter.

Do they run out of baked goods by the evening?

I'm not sure about baked goods, I would suppose every once in a while. They ran out of the strawberries and cream when I was there.

Can you make the afternoon tea for 1 please? not everyone has someone to go with

Can you reserve afternoon tea through resy? I'm unable to see any reservation spots 2 months out

For the afternoon tea is it the same price for kids too? What if they just want to share one tier and 1 teapot?

Same price for kids when I went with my 9 year old daughter in Feb of this year. They can order drinks that are not hot tea such as lemonade.

We have been on a hunt to find the best matcha in Orange County and this was officially stop 26 for us, so we take this pretty seriously at this point. My wife ordered the matcha latte with light ice and lavender syrup, and I went with the ube matcha latte as recommended by the barista. Overall the place itself was a very cool spot, honestly the kind of place you would want to post up at and get some work done. The decor and artwork were really different and cool to see, definitely gave the place its own personality. The staff were extremely sweet and welcoming too, made the whole visit that much better. As for the matcha themselves, they were actually pretty good. The matcha latte was nice and smooth with a very balanced taste, slightly bitter even with the added lavender but still easy to enjoy overall. Next time we are probably going to ask for light ice and maybe an extra pump of lavender or vanilla just to cut back on that bitterness a bit. As for the ube matcha, that one was very good too, though mine had way too much ice and was gone in like three sips unfortunately. The flavor of the ube came through nicely and was pretty balanced, though I would have liked a little more matcha flavor since the ube can easily take over. Overall, not bad matchas at all, though not the best we have had on this journey, but still worth a stop if you need something quick and good.

I know Blk Dot Coffee has been around for a while now and that there have been places like them in…read morethe Bay Area (with more opening up), but I still can't believe how Vietnamese coffee is only now becoming more mainstream. Between how coffee obsessed and sleep deprived we all are an how much caffeine packs, it always seemed like a no-brainer that it would catch on, not to mention the fact that it just tastes so good. As belated as it may be, though, I'm just glad that it's become easier than ever for me to get my Vietnamese coffee fix! At any given time, especially on the weekends, it seems like the line for Blk Dot Coffee will reach the door (or even stretch outside), but it's partly due to how popular this place is. Inside, this place is pretty small with just enough room for a small line to order, a display with merch and apparel, and some space for folks to wait for their drinks. Yet, despite its small stature, the menu has an and fairly extensive selection of offerings, from their Vietnamese coffee-based drinks to a mix of tea/matcha and fruit-based options. They also have a decent array of small bites as well, like bagels, toasts, breakfast bowls, and sandwiches, but we've never been hungry enough to try anything. -- VTM EINSPANNER - Vietnamese Coffee Latte, Sweet Foam Top, Cocoa Powder This was so, so good! Not only did it have a nice punch of caffeine to it, but I liked how the bit of sweet foam and coca powder added a touch of creaminess and richness. Plus, wasn't quite as sweet as I feared it would be (though, still sweet as a whole). -- MANGO DELIGHT GREEN TEA - Green Tea, Mango Jam, Chia Seeds, Crystal Boba A bit on the sweet side, but not bad otherwise. While this felt a little syrupy, I did like taste of the green tea and the mango jam. The chia seeds and boba were fine, but I would've been fine without them, too. -- UJI MATCHA EINSPANNER - Uji Culinary Grade Matcha Latte, Cane Syrup, Sweet Foam Top, Cocoa Powder Sadly, now as impressive as the VTM Einspanner, but still not bad. The sweet foam added the same creaminess to this one, but, in this case, there was too much of it, as it really took away from the taste of the matcha itself. -- YUZU MANGO MATCHA LATTE - Uji Culinary Grade Matcha Latte Infused with Yuzu Jam and Mango Cream It's a shame that this seems to be a seasonal drink because it tasted so good! It also helped that the weather was so warm when we had this, but I really liked how well the match, yuzu jam, and mango cream all complemented each other. Delicious! -- ORIGINAL ICED VTM - Signature Slow-Drip Vietnamese Coffee with Blend of House Creamers Not sure what their creamer "blend" consists of (just tasted like regular condensed milk), but this was terrific! Although the first sip was strong and quite sweet, the flavors became a lot more balanced once the ice started to melt. As far as service goes, the workers at the register have always been really friendly, but, for better or worse, nothing else has really stood out (the interactions have always been brief). However, what definitely has stood out are the baristas making the drinks. Watching from the side, it's impressive seeing the sort of organized chaos that was going on - a constant flow of cups/drinks waiting to be made, bottles of milk, syrups, and ingredients that go into all of their different concoctions strewn about, and workers humming along grabbing supplies, making drinks, and calling out orders. If there was one knock about my experiences at Blk Dot Coffee, it'd be that it can take a little while for orders to come out when they're really busy. While it wasn't so bad the first couple of times we were here, it took about 15 mins the third time. With that being said, it's not like the same thing can't happen at a Starbucks on the way to work or at some milk tea joints. Personally, for something as unique and delicious as Blk Dot Coffee's VTM Einspanner, I'm more than happy to wait!

I kept telling myself that I had to come try it someday. But when I searched this time, I was actually looking for a real coffee roaster and ended up here without even realizing it was the same place. Parking was easy and there were plenty of spaces. There are also other shops around, so I don't think parking would be much of an issue. The coffee shop itself was clean, bright, and nice and cool inside. I noticed one of the employees carefully cleaning the glass, and they kept wiping down empty tables and windows throughout the time I was there. Honestly, I've rarely seen someone cleaning so consistently at a coffee shop, and I really appreciated it. It made me feel like they genuinely care about cleanliness. Since it was already afternoon, I wanted something decaf, so I asked if they roast their own decaf coffee. They told me that they roast everything themselves, which immediately gave me more confidence in the coffee. I ordered a flat white and sat down, but then I realized I had completely forgotten to say "iced." Sure enough, I saw the employee making a hot drink. Well... that's totally on me! Soon my coffee came out with a beautiful latte art on top. And then I took my first sip... Oh my goodness. This is GOOD coffee! There was a slight acidity at first, but as I kept drinking, the acidity faded and I was left with a smooth, nutty, creamy latte flavor. I personally prefer medium roasts over dark roasts, and this roast was exactly my kind of coffee. Now I'm suddenly very curious about their matcha, too. I also liked that the overall pricing wasn't too expensive. The Wi-Fi did seem a little slow at times, but it wasn't slow enough to really bother me. And now I'm still sitting here debating whether I should order the matcha latte... The coffee was definitely delicious, and I already know I'll be coming back. Next time, I'm absolutely getting the Fun Flight so I can try several different coffees! Great coffee, clean space, friendly service, and reasonable prices. Definitely worth another visit!

Came here on a whim yesterday to nest and study and I am so glad that I did! The coffee shop had…read moreplenty of seating and was very clean (I'm a neat freak so was definitely happy about this). They also had several outlets for to charge devices if needed and delicious air conditioning. The baristas were very friendly and kind and the atmosphere felt very comfy and relaxing. I especially liked their very chill music playlist. I ordered: - iced matcha latte w oat milk and vanilla (barista recommended) - banana oatmeal with cinnamon, peanut butter and choco chips - plain bagel w cream cheese I really enjoyed the iced matcha, it is probably one of the better ones I have in OC. The matcha was super smooth and with the addition of the vanilla it created a sweet happy layer to it. I need to come back to try the other drinks! The banana oatmeal, while looking very tasty, didn't pass my satisfaction meter. The oatmeal in the bowl was cold and it was a thin layer of oats that laid on the bottom of the bowl. Presentation great, but for 9$, I would have wanted there to be at least 1-2 more scoops of oats in there to make it worth it. The plain bagel with cream cheese, I really enjoyed. The bagel was huge and it has a good toastiness to it. Additionally, the cream cheese was very light, not too rich and it helped make a delicious carb. Overall, I would definitely come back here to try other drinks and pastries from their menu! I also loved that the parking lot is easy to access and there are ample spots! Definitely try this spot, if you're in the area!

Perfect for a quick bite or drink! We got the egg, potato and cheese burrito. It hit the spot! It was crispy and had perfect portions. I'm glad they didn't have meat in it too. I also got a matcha with oat milk and some protein. I can tell they don't add sugar to their matcha which I appreciate. We'll be coming back here for breakfast. Since we were at a workshop, we didn't have much time in between sessions but they were quick with our order. The decor in the shop is festive with fall which adds such a nice touch. This coffee cafe is located inside a Marriott Hotel next to the lobby, but is open to the public…read more Free parking is available in designated spots just past the "valet parking" sign. There are 3 indoor tables, 3 outdoor tables, and a long counter where customers can stand. I ordered one of their special signature drinks, an iced mint cold brew. A look into their pastry case led me to also request a raspberry danish. The single person behind the counter who was taking orders and working as barista was not exactly charming but it was understandable as she was slammed with multiple customers right when I arrived. My order was presented within a couple minutes (she was great at multitasking!) and I sat out on the patio. The iced mint cold brew was refreshing and was like drinking a box of Campfire Girl mints, both chocolatey and minty (sidebar: I am so sad that, as of last year, those mints are no longer made). It essentially was a mocha made with coconut milk and mint syrup; I really liked it. The pastry was rather dry but the raspberry filling was vibrant in flavor and not overly sweet. The vibe is more of a place for hotel guests to have a business meeting or to grab something prior to dashing off to a corporate event rather than just a place to hang out. But it's also a great option if you are near the Irvine Spectrum and just want to stop to quickly get a coffee drink and sit for a short break.
