Sarena was a joy! She helped us pick out flavors, and answered all our questions, I appreciate her time and we will be back!
It's YE Gurl--eating ice cream like it's a civic duty and judging the playlist while I do it. Hello Honey - Downtown Cincinnati 3/29/2025 This stop was purely indulgent. We took a quick day trip to Cincy and made a pit stop with one goal: ice cream. Yes, again. Yes, we have a pattern. And this time the destination was Hello Honey, a local favorite known for its artisan flair. At first glance, we weren't even sure it was open--it was that quiet. But after some squinting and door pushing, we were in, only to find they were mid-menu shuffle and a few crowd favorites were out of stock. (Warm weather + weekend = expected chaos.) We waited behind a family of four in full indecision crisis and a woman who had to have sorbet explained to three confused kids. All in all, we had plenty of time to plan. What We Ordered: We all went for double scoops in a cup ($7 each). I had: Lychee Rosewater - floral and delicate Honey Lavender - subtly sweet with an herbaceous twist Let's just say: worth it. Clean, refreshing flavors that didn't feel heavy or overly sweet. Noticed the manager was hauling inventory to another location, so this downtown spot may be the quieter of the bunch. Which actually makes it great for a lowkey ice cream date or a solo treat-yourself stop. Plenty of seating in the back and a few charming items for sale if you like a side of retail with your scoop. Would I go back? Possibly--but I'm curious about their other locations now that I've had a taste.
Friendliest service and I'm here for the cakes! Sold by the love, there are soo many to choose from - I went with Boston Cream and a small cup of Banana Honeycomb ice cream ($14 ttl) High quality and big enough to split with someone so it's worth the $ Lots of room inside and out to sit with a small group also- outside quite comfortable and aesthetically pleasing
A cute ice cream spot my friends and I stopped. They have so many unique flavors. The service was great and I got to sample a few different flavors. I tried the banana honeycomb and their coconut cream roll cake. The ice cream had the perfect banana flavor and sweetness from the honeycomb. The coconut cream roll cake was so good, I decided to order it for my birthday cake! It is so fluffy and full of coconut flavor. It reminded me of a coconut cream pie. I will definitely be ordering my cakes from here in the future.
I had an opportunity to travel to Cincinnati a couple of weekends ago, and with the beautiful weather I needed some ice cream! Hello Honey's menu had some very interesting and tasty flavors. Unfortunately we were at one of the less busy locations, so some of the flavors were unavailable at the time we visited. That blueberry cheesecake ice cream though - DELICIOUS! Not overly sweet, the blueberries didn't overpower it, and the flavors meshed so well. There was plenty of seating and a small marketplace inside of the shop as well. I plan on coming back here the next time I am in the city!
Was walking around Downtown when we strolled upon Hello Honey. An ice cream shop with multiple locations including Walnut Hills and Pleasant Ridge. They use only fresh ingredients and you can tell. The ice cream is made really well with just the right amount of sweetness. We've tried two flavors, brown butter caramel and banana honeycomb which were both delicious. The service was great too. The guy was really kind and answered all of our questions. There is no parking lot so street parking is or finding a lot nearby is what you'll have to do. The inside of the shop is pretty spacious and there's also plenty of seating outside. Highly recommend checking them out if you're craving a sweet treat!
This ice cream parlor seems strongly of sewage. The ice cream tasted like heavy whipped cream then hard packed creamy ice cream. Most flavors are sold out and the ice cream cone is brittle. I'll stick to Jeni's.
The ice cream tasted amazing and they serve flavors that you normally can't find at bigger ice cream stores. I love this because it made me be adventurous and try something new! Even though only one person was working, we didn't have too wait long for service, but waited a little while for our order but was worth the wait. There were quite a few tables and it was warm enough to walk through the park next to the shop. I would recommend trying the ice cream here.
They're known for their marshmallows (made in-house and served a la flambé). I think this particular aspect of the experience fell off the wagon, because I thought they were *just* good - kinda under-toasted, more tough than melty. I ordered chai, but received some sort of lemony flavor. It was still quite good. In reality they have many gluten free options, but you have to ask for a "secret list." IMHO they could really improve the experience by listing the information publicly.
I used to frequent this location often because it's a nice walk from my place and I love the Honey Vanilla and waffle cones. The past few times I visited, the ice cream left an oily film that stayed until I brushed my teeth. It has been a few months but cannot bring myself to go back to this location. During my last visit, I sampled the Charcoal Sesame. I commented that it was good but I probably wouldn't be able to finish an entire cup of it. The woman behind the counter looked disgusted and said, "Yeah. Because it tastes like licking a Chinese wok at a Chinese restaurant." Although I am Chinese American, I have never considered licking this frequently used piece of cookware. She was very passionate about it so I will keep her comment in mind.
Location is great to walk in and grab a cone. Every flavor on the menu sounded delicious. I ordered the biscoff and cookie, and a scoop of apple crisp on a waffle cone. Two scoops of icecream. My partner got a vanilla and chocolate flavor on waffle cone. The waffle cones are tall and skinny, and two full scoops of icecream were placed precariously on top. We received this cone, and asked for a cup, predicting that if the cone was not eaten with speed, melted icecream would drop off. We left the store, walked down about half a block. My cone completely broke apart, and I caught the two scoops in my free right hand. Structural integrity of cone for 2 scoops? 0/10 Crunch and flavor of the cone when crunched on top of said icecream, placed in a bowl? 6/10
Yummmy! Hello Honey's ice cream is creamy and full of flavor. I got the B Day Dough with a toasted marshmallow on top. The marshmallow was delicious. It tasted like a homemade marshmallow, the consistency was completely different than one from a bag. The B Day Dough tasted like cake with a small amount of sprinkles and chunks of sugar cookie dough. So delicious!! If you're in downtown Cincinnati I highly recommend stopping by!

Don't sleep on the cake here! Got a slice of the boston cream and it was the perfect cake- fluffy, light, not too sweet! The ice cream was great as well especially with the waffle cone, but if one of the flavors of cake stand out to you, definitely get it! read more

Excellent ice cream and they make the waffle cone fresh with your order. I mean c'mon where do you go where you actually get the waffle cone right after its been made. Several locally made flavors and the ice cream was soft with great flavor. The price is quite reasonable for a freshly made product while the scoop is definitely a little on the smaller side. I guess the higher the quality of the ice cream the lesser of the scoop you get? A definite fun, family friendly stop in downtown Cincinnati. read more
I'm so glad I chose to go here for dessert! I was with my boyfriend visiting Cincinnati and we were trying to find a good icecream place despite the 30 degree weather. Anything to satisfy that sweet tooth am I right? Anyways, we both shared a 2 scoop cup with honey lavendar and blueberry cheesecake. Both very yummy flavors but I preferred the honey lavendar more. I also ordered a toasted marshmallow on top which was toasted despite the flame gun running out of power. The place inside was cute with lights and plants giving a lively ambiance. Highly recommend this dessert place! read more

Hello Honey is a MUST GO TO in Cinci! They have fantastic homemade ice cream, great service, cute ice cream parlor and fresh waffle cones made to order. My boyfriend and I came here after work on Friday afternoon. My boyfriend ordered the chocolate chip mint ice cream which he thoroughly enjoyed! I ordered the he brownie and cream ice cream with a waffle cone and a toasted marshmallow on top. It was melt in our mouth delicious. The toasted marshmallow was an excellent touch and looked awesome! The waffle cone was warm when it was served and had melted chocolate chips in the bottom of the cone which was my favorite part. I highly recommend Hello Honey especially if you are an ice cream / waffle cone fanatic! You certainly will not be disappointed! read more

I have loved the OTR location for years so was beyond excited to see a more convenient parking location pop up. Still has all of the same delicious and exotic flavors, but a cute little venue in EWH. The blueberry pie was excellent, but the interesting taste combo that was unexpectedly good was the Gorgonzola pecan. Don't let the idea scare you, it's delicious. Another plus is they will let you sample as many flavors as you like until you find your perfect combination. Love that they are open on Sundays and see in my future many fun afternoons spent here. read more
I need to re visit probably 15 more times so I can try everything as so far all my choices have been a delightful treat. Today I had the orange cardamom roll and the caramel goat cheese pecan roll. I love that so far anything I've tried has not been overly sweet. I'm not gonna lie I love the extra heavy hand with the cream. It's why I get these things. read more

For quite some time I have lusted after the photographs of peoples yummy looking desserts from this location. It always seems they close fairly early in comparison to times i'd be downtown, but on the first night of Blink we came early enough for the parade to stop in. The inside of the shop isn't much to look at, its very simple, however the flavors certainly make up for this. It was very busy and there was only one gentleman working, and boy was he working his butt off! I have never seen such hustle in an employee and the owners should be proud of this. He apologized that he was the only one there but the crowd was luckily being very understanding. The ice cream here is small batch and made with all natural ingredients (nothing artificial). The chalk board states the eggs are cage free and the dairy is hormone free! Their flavors rotate and are seasonal. If youd like to plan ahead they keep the current flavor list on their website. They are happy to provide you with samplings of the ice cream flavors before making your final decision. Their desserts beyond ice cream are all made on site. The store itself is filled with the aroma of freshly made waffle cones! I sampled the honey lavender and the banana honeycomb. Both were fabulous so I opted for a scoop of each, with a waffle cone, and homemade marshmallow toasted atop. The second scoop didnt quite fit so it made its way into a side dish. I think in the future id opt for the waffle bowl instead. The waffle cone was the best ive ever had. Sadly I have to say, while the marshmallow was good, it didnt add to the ice cream what I thought it would, and might skip that in the future. read more
Hello, honey indeed Absolutely rich desserts. Hello honey offers unique ice cream flavors, cakes, and baked goodies. I shared a honey lavender ice cream with a torched marshmallow and a chocolate pudding cake. They give out very generous scoops! One scoop was enough to share between two people. My options were definitely for the sweets lover. They may be too sweet for you if you normally don't indulge in sweets, but I'm sure Hello Honey has a flavor that would suit your tastes as well. The marshmallow was a nice touch, adding more gooey sweetness to your ice cream. I thought the pudding cake was going to be soft and lighter, but it was thick! It was delicious. Staff is very friendly. Definitely come here if you have a huge sweet tooth. read more

I visited their new location in East Walnut Hills. The shop is super new, and still has some kinks to work out (signage is a little lacking in the store, and menus are only on paper right now) However, the ice cream flavors were super unique and delicious! Things like honey lavender, carmel brioche, and banana honeycomb. I got the Thai iced tea which tastes exactly like my favorite boba flavor. Obsessed! my husband loved his banana honeycomb- it is obvious it is real banana flavor. They also have various sweets and cake rolls. The staff was super nice, and was obviously working hard-- but could benefit from a couple extra hands up front during a busy Friday night. One poor guy was doing everything read more
I'm sadly lactose intolerant and have limited options for ice cream - especially cookies and cream so I was thrilled with the option. I believe they used coconut cream and must have made the cones in house because it was still warm when they handed it to me and was by far the best cone I've ever tasted. Can't wait to go back! read more

Hello Honey is one of my favorite ice cream places in Cincinnati. The staff is always so nice and there are even vegan flavors sometimes. I just found the new location and the parking situation is so much better! I am a huge fan of brownies and cream but I've never stumbled upon a flavor here I didn't love. read more

It's not easy to find an ice cream shop open in the middle of winter, but we did! We were excited to try this new place downtown and taste what it had to offer. Excited for the many flavors they had, it was quickly narrowed down with five of the sixteen flavors sold out! I went with chocolate fudge and it was ok. Very fudgy for those that love that richness! I couldn't pass up the toasted marshmallow on top though. I saw other review pictures and it looked gooey and yummy! It sure was too! It tasted like a s'mores warmed marshmallow and I loved it. We tried a hot chocolate as well and I just want a fan. Something about it tasted off or weird so I didn't have much of it. It does come with a toasty marshmallow though if your trying to taste one. Overall, very spacious place in a nice spot downtown but I'm ready to try the next place on the list for now. read more

Hello Honey has the absolute best ice cream in Cincinnati (no debate in my eyes!) They have homemade, small batch ice cream that is just so creamy and delicious. The amount of flavors to choose from might make your head spin, but that's a good problem to me. I love going in and trying completely different things and mixing random flavors. Some of my favorites are what's pictured here- the Blueberry cheesecake and Brown Butter Caramel. They are both incredible! You can also try different samples if you can't decide on what to get at first. My absolute favorite part about this place is the homemade waffle cone. They're made fresh to order so it's slightly warm when you get it. I've never had a better cone! I consider them to be a hidden gem because they're on the part of Vine Street that has been around for a long time so definitely go out and support them. You won't regret it! read more
The freshest all natural ice cream and desserts run by a husband and wife team! Desserts are classic American staples, like waffle cones and banana splits. They also have a few Thai-Asian flavors that are inspired by one of the owners who is from Thailand (Pandan, taro, matcha, and black sesame!) They also have ~4 vegan flavors! The best dessert place I have been to in Cincinnati. It doesn't look like much from the outside, we weren't sure if they were open, but decided to park and walk over to see. The interior could be more inviting, maybe replace the metal chairs and add some plants or pillows but I liked the playful yellow décor and wall graphics. There are so many options to choose from, made-to-order waffle cones, small batch ice cream, cakes, cheesecake, their famous torched marshmallows, and sundaes (including one with a croissant bread budding). We got the cheesecake and two scoops of ice cream. The peanut butter midnight snack was memorable with a rich pb flavor and huge chunks of chocolate cookie bits. Everything was so fresh and flavorful. Highly recommend trying a few things. Will definitely come back to get a sundae! read more

Great pastry options plus ice cream. The cheesecake bars are good size and very rich. I loved the lemon tart and even more the peanut butter chocolate. The icing is excellent and rich but layer of whipped cream is not needed and affects the overall harmony of the layers. I tried salted caramel cone. This is a dense consistency ice cream. I liked the caramel taste and the chocolate dipped cone bites are so tasty. read more

Being overshadowed by Graeter's, and all the creamy whip places of Cincinnati, Hello Honey is the most low key and underrated place to get dessert in Cincinnati. They also to happen to make the best ice cream in Cincinnati. Hello Honey is hidden downtown where no one would ever look for such a gem. In the outskirts of the central business district. They make their own fresh ice cream and everything else they make that goes with the ice cream to compliment it, they make to order. I'm talking about fresh made waffle cones. A giant brownie that you have to wait 30ish minutes for that they bring straight out to you in the skillet it was cooked in. Mouth watering, melt in your mouth unreal goodness. Everything here is amazing and you literally couldn't go wrong if you tried. If you're going to stick with only ice cream, my favorites are "Brownie & Cream" and "Cookies & Pie". If you get the brownie make sure you get a scoop of ice cream to go on top of it. If you get a root beer float here, it is the most boujee but most amazing float you will ever have. Every piece of Cheesecake I've had here has been amazing. Also, If they have it when you're there, the Banana Fosters Is out of this world. Lastly as far as things go food wise here, if anything is on the menu with a toasted marshmallow, Just do it. Don't question it. Hello Honey also usually has at least two vegan options of ice cream/sorbet and they are actually super yummy. Outside of all the amazing ice cream and baked goods at Hello Honey and the cute branding from the sketches on the menu board or the polka dot bowls for your ice cream, the woman and guy who run the place are always the nicest people on the planet and you can really tell they enjoy what they are doing and that they are passionate about it. These are the reasons why every time my parents come down from Dayton they make us go here, and why it's also a rainy day hide away for me. If you've been living in Cincy and haven't gone here yet, you best prioritize it because you're going to be salty you've been missing out for so long. read more

Hands-down my best ice cream experience in Cincinnati so far. This little hole-in-the-wall is one of downtown's best kept secrets. Everything is made fresh in-store with natural ingredients and attention to detail. We got the brownie chunk ice cream sundae with caramel honey topping and toasted marshmallow in a waffle bowl. The ice cream was delicious with a fresh cream taste. But the stars of the show were the waffle bowl (light, crisp, hot off the griddle--everything you hope a waffle bowl will be) and the toasted marshmallow (fluffy and light, made fresh in store, and toasted with a torch right on the spot--it melts in your mouth and leaves the pleasant crunch of the toastedness on your tongue). The only thing keeping Hello Honey from five stars is their limited hours (they close at 7pm on weekdays) and their dingy interior. Honestly, the place is in disrepair and would make me want to turn around if not for the other yelp reviews. But push past first looks and you'll discover a gem of an ice cream experience just waiting for you. read more

My favorite ice cream shop in the town. They have so many flavors that are not overly sweet like other ice cream shops. My favorite is charcoal sesame. I also love their cake too!! They carry some Asian flavors like matcha and taro. I literally stopped going to other ice cream stores after I found this place! read more

Wow! This place was delicious, I would highly recommend it. This vanilla carrot cake was light and not too sugary. The Caramelized pecans on top were the cherry on top. Also tried the Oreo cookie biscoff ice cream in a waffle cone topped with a toasted marshmallow, my fiancé said the over the top look tasted as good as it looked read more
