This is one of our favorite soft serve spots in Cincinnati! Great prices, awesome portions, friendly staff, and delicious ice cream!!

The Dipper was awesome! Cute walk up window, there are benches nearby to sit at and eat. The person who helped us was very friendly. I ordered a vanilla soft serve with chocolate sprinkles and peanut butter and it was delish, and it was an awesome value for the price-- I had to take some home!

Oh my! What a marvelous ice cream place. Very very affordable. Their soft serve is more delicious than Sonic. Just go......sooooooo good. The raspberry glacier with soft serve was incredible.

My partner and I were craving some soft serve after dinner, so we headed to The Dipper. I got a small vanilla cone and my partner got a medium vanilla/chocolate twist for only a few bucks. Love a cheap delicious dessert!

Ok I'm giving it 4 stars for service and concept. This place reminds me of the fair I've cream tricks that allow you to pick a flavor you want your ice cream infused with. I did not like the ice cream at all. I wanted Putz, however this place was closer so I decided to try it out. I can't explain why I don't like the taste and texture of this ice cream. I just know I wanted Putz and should've went there. The ice cream is a lighter consistency then a Dairy Queen, with different flavor options and toppings .

Getting ice cream from a hole in the wall is pretty much where all the best ice cream comes from! I'm the heart of silverton and a great way to just relax after a hot summer day. This place gets a long line so be patient. Basic ice cream place that's already closed for the season. Parking can be weird but there is a side lot that is a small wall. And if you fancy more food, there is Italian restaurant next door!

What a great old-fashioned experience to get your ice cream cone (or other delight) from a walk-up window. I love going to The Dipper when in Silverton to get my blueberry ice cream cone. Reminds me of Smurf ice cream at Kings Island many decades ago. My husband had the orange dole whip...nice and tart, almost sherbet like, on a hot summer day. Our cones are small! And only $2.25

Walked over from a friends house around 8pm to get some ice cream after dinner. The line was surprisingly long, and the menu could have been more efficient to read. I got a traditional soft serve chocolate ice cream and it wasn't anything special. My friends got root beer float, and other ice cream options with a cone and sprinkles. I think this is a nice little neighborhood ice cream shop, but nothing to write home about. I like that they have seating areas around the corner of the building to enjoy your ice cream, there's a nice mural and you can people watch while you eat.

Excellent creamy whip in Silverton. Went on a Sunday with a long line but it went super quick. Ate outside on the bench and enjoyed the weather. Will be returning!

One of the…read morenewer ice cream trends is flash freezing ice cream with different candies and nuts and rolling it up. I was not necessarily on this train but I was intrigued. What's the texture like? Is the taste different? There were so many questions I needed answered. Yolo Rollo is located in one of the center stalls inside Kenwood Towne Center. I ditched Auntie Anne's (big mistake because Annie is the real MVP) in lieu of trying Yolo. The concept is simple enough. Pick your flavor, one mix-in, and one topping. The downfall is that it's $6. That seems to be excessive for what you get. I decided to go for it anyhow. I chose vanilla with Oreo mix in and a brownie on top. The time it takes to create the ice cream is longer than one would think. They take the cream flavor of choice and spread it out, waiting for it to freeze up. They then add your mix in and roll it together. At the end, they add your topping and sauce of choice. The final product looks like much more than it actually is. You get multiple "rolls" of ice cream with your mix in, and a healthy portion of your topping to garnish. The flavor of the actual ice cream is awful. It tastes like what happens when you accidentally leave the lid off your ice cream before putting it back in the freezer (aka freezer burn). The mix in flavor is non-existent and the sauce (I chose caramel) that they put on top is scant. The brownies that I chose tasted like the artificial crap you find in sketchy convenience stores off the highway. I wasn't expecting a gourmet dessert, but I at least wanted something that didn't make me feel like I had just bathed in chemicals. I finished approximately six bites of my ice cream concoction before I gave up. At first I gave Yolo 3 stars because I thought it was strictly a family owned operation and I like to give locally ran businesses the benefit of the doubt. I then found out that Yolos are locally owned franchises and my guilt faded immediately. The next time I'm at the mall and want a sweet treat I'll reach for a cinnamon sugar pretzel. #yolo

Candy, cookies, fruit, sauces, crunchies--you name it. Decision fatigue is real, but worth it. What makes it even better is the sheer absurdity of the setting. One minute you're pumping gas or grabbing a drink, the next you're building a frozen yogurt masterpiece like you're in a boutique dessert shop. It's confusing. It's delightful. It's genius. I'm currently dairy-free so I was pleasantly surprised by all the options, including Italian ice and dole whip. I got the seasonal dole whip flavor, lime, in a waffle cone...upgrading to the homemade waffle cone was worth it! Delicious. My family got a scoop of hand dipped ice cream and a sundae, and enjoyed them. We all thought the prices were pretty reasonable, especially compared to other ice cream spots in the area.
