Still the best, but now that I have kids it's a great place to bring them to play indoors when it's hot or bad weather and it's free. The play room is great, and the ice cream is still the best. read more

We stopped by this ice cream shop after seeing all of the great reviews, and it turned out to be a nice place to visit. The ice cream was good, with plenty of flavors to choose from, and everyone in our family found something they enjoyed. One of the highlights was the indoor playground, which kept our kids entertained while we finished our treats. The shop also had a variety of merchandise for sale, making it feel like more than just an ice cream stop. Overall, it's a fun place to visit, especially for families with young children. While we enjoyed the experience and the ice cream was certainly good, we didn't find it to be exceptional compared to some other ice cream shops we've visited. Still, it's a solid choice if you're in the area and looking for a sweet treat. read more

I finally made it!! I buy this ice cream at Meijer. Since I took a road trip and had to drive through Cincinnati I decided to stop by the actual store and I was not disappointed! Everyone was extremely nice and helpful. The store was clean and neat. It had a play area also. They placed my ice cream on dry ice and it stayed frozen my entire drive home. Stopped by and got a one dip for the Graeter's anniversary. I'm not sure if the scoops were meant to be smaller because of the deal but this one seemed pretty wimpy. Perhaps a smaller cup would have made it look better but this seemed like a child sized scoop. read more

Having tried most Graeter's flavors, I need to get around to the Chocolate Coconut Almond Chip. First bite was great! It tasted identical to an Almond Joy. As time passed, the chocolate overload was a lot. I'm not the biggest chocolate ice cream person, but it was still enjoyable. It is definitely one I would try again, but would need to pair with a vanilla base. As always, the service was quick and the staff were very polite. That's a give at Graeter's read more

I've loved Graeter's for over 60 years. I had to stop in for a favorite seasonal strawberry chip, for April. I was back in town and easy to find this location. Service with a smile and a jumbo chocolate chunk with the last bite. Will certainly be stopping back in Northbrook IL for some pints, with my return back to Chicagoland. This is a really nice location, complete with a drive thru. Bakery items are available here too. read more

Another yummy experience. Clean inside , clean and nice smelling bathrooms, a great kiddie play area ( no photos taken, kids were playing ... but waffle cone slide with end part chocolate with sprinkles, etc etc. I am jealous!!) Lots of selections, a bakery, Papyrus greeting cards, saltwater taffy, t-shirts, hats, mugs, ...and the best thing of all- their ICE CREAM. If you are a visitor, thus local chain was family founded in 1870 and has absolutely one of the best ice creams I've tasted. Since the MLB cap/ ice cream promo is still going on, I decided to have coconut chip and my husband black cherry chip. Both were delicious, creamy, with an abundance of huge chunks of dark chocolate-- and I mean huge! The whipped cream was fresh , light and yummy. Both sundaes were devoured. Special recognition to Christian who was our counter guy/cashier twice today and was polite, courteous and patient with our helmet picking! read more

Went there today and paid $12.13 for two single scoops of icecream. The first one was on a classic sugar cone and the amount of ice cream on it was the size of a quarter - had it finished before we even cashed out. Second one was in a cup and it was pretty much the same size. Total rip off. I mean the ice cream is good but not worth the ridiculous price if you are going to get such a small serving. Save your money. We used to go to Graeters pretty often - but the servings have decreased immensely!! Do better Graeters! You aren't THAT good.... read more

Ice cream place has so many options. It is always clean. I love that. There's an entire kids playroom for families and children to enjoy. It really makes a decision for us when we're choosing where to go. Ice creams can be a little pricey compared to other places, but I think the quality is what makes a difference read more

I don't know how I have driven past here and kept missing the new location! We were invited to attend a birthday party and both me and my daughter were excited with what we saw. The play area is a very large open space where the kids can run around, play pretend, and enjoy the see saw and slide indoors, giving an outdoor playground feel. Though they overbooked our party hosts rooms and their party setup was delayed, we were able to get in eventually with only being 15-20 into the scheduled time. They allowed more time on the backend to make up for the mistake and the kids were definitely able to take advantage. For the party, they were able to bring their own food, but we did enjoy the amazingness that is Graeter's birthday cake. I loved our time here so, we may just be returning when it's our time to party plan. read more

I'm visiting from California and the friend I'm visiting made sure this Graeter's was our first stop! It's such a cute shop, and the staff was so friendly. Carter scooped our ice cream and let me try all the most popular flavors -- buckeye, banana chip, hot cocoa, s'mores, and more. He was a fantastic employee -- you can tell he was very proud of the ice cream and so sweet. He definitely deserves a raise. And the ice cream I chose -- black raspberry chip! -- was delicious. Highly recommend this shop! read more

I'm having trouble understanding why a single scoop of ice cream with some sprinkles is seven dollars plus tax. For a family of 5 that's approaching $40+ for ice cream. On top of that you're presented with the option to tip which starts to feel obnoxious. After tax, I'm already forking over almost $50 for some ice cream. The service is good and the ice cream is OK, but I could go to UDF and get ice cream for a lot less. It's a nice dining experience so I'll give it that. There's often upwards of 10 employees working behind the counter at the location by us. Maybe that's why the prices have gotten so high? Anything more than $5 for a scoop of ice cream in a cup starts to feel unreasonable. read more

I had Graeter's for the first time while in Cincinnati and it was so good!! It was 100% some of the best ice cream I've ever had. They list all their gluten free flavors on their website which is super helpful. I ordered the Salted Caramel Chocolate Chip and the chocolate chunks in it were amazing. I'll definitely come here when back in the area again! Highly recommend. read more

When they relocated their building from the Kenwood road to Montgomery location, I was amazed with how much room and more selection they carry. The Kenwood location was much smaller and had a congested parking lot. This location has a play room for kids, a drive thru, and more ice cream and other good stuff to offer. I've been here before Covid hit. Mostly visited to get cookies and and the butter bit rolls for my mom back home in Georgia because she and her friends really enjoy them. Their ice cream is where it's at! I have to say that it's one of my faves. Especially the Black Raspberry Chocolate Chip. I love their rewards program because I get the brownie tower free every year. Besides that, customer service has always been on point! Everyone is helpful and friendly. So FYI, they are dog friendly and carry dog treats, and occasionally have treat your dog to ice cream. Make sure to sign up for emails for that. Also they cater, have a bakery section and also have vegan options for those who are lactose intolerant. I'll say it... Graeters is a definitely a huge staple to the Cincinnati area. I feel like it's must visit! read more

I'd been to the Kenwood location on Kenwood Rd and really enjoyed it, but when I heard they were moving to a bigger location, I knew it was gonna be even better. Was I right? Absolutely! Same great service you'd expect but made even Graeter! I went with my lady and her parents because her mom really wanted to go... And yes, I did too. It's delicious ice cream! So why not! This location is definitely bigger and better than the Kenwood Road location; more seating inside and out, more goodies to buy, a big play area for kids, and more. The staff were all very friendly and helpful too. First, I got my lady a black raspberry chip scented candle (smells incredible) and a pair of ice cream cone socks. Then we got a few ice cream cones. My lady and I got brown bourbon butter pecan on a waffle cone. She's usually all about black raspberry chip, and I'm all about buckeye blitz chip, but the bourbon pecan was very tasty. Possibly my new favorite flavor. My lady really liked it too. Graeter's is a true Cincinnati staple and it's easy to see why. Every location is excellent and the ice cream always delicious. It doesn't get much greater than Graeter's! read more

The best chocolate in ice cream! Get the black raspberry chocolate chip and you won't be disappointed.

First timer and although not a big ice cream fan this place has the resources to make a convert out of me! Plenty of seating in a big open area and lots of ice cream choices to choose from. I selected a hot fudge sunday with whipped cream (which tasted so creamy!) and didn't notice that the server had accidentally put sprinkles on it. When I got to the counter and mentioned to the young lady, she quickly fixed it for me and didn't look put out by my request. Lots of happy people eating ice cream, including me! read more

This place is NOT permanently closed. It was a beautiful day for ice cream. Practically the entire city thought so. So this evening after dinner we decided to stop by. We did not want to eat our ice cream in the car on the way home so we ordered cones in a covered cup with the cone on top in a bag. I don't see how any order from a drive thru customer would not possibly want proper packaging to save their ice cream for consumption at home. What's wrong with our youth today? They have been dumbed down so much that the powers that be will win with robot employee replacement and many will be unemployed since they're already unemployable! These girls couldn't follow directions correctly. I didn't even get the right flavor let alone in a covered cup. The other girl said just leave the cone in the cup and not mind the customer! The drive thru wait was at least 25 minutes with about 8 cars in front of us initially. Did she handle every transaction the same way? Makes you wonder..... What chaos!? read more

It is National Ice Cream month. Graeter's had a coupon for $2 off on purchases over $10. It seemed to have expired before I got to use it. Graeters is a Cincinnati staple. They have unique hard ice cream as well as some bakery items. I stopped by to take advantage of a one day only rewards member buy 1 get 1 free deal. My friend got my usual favorite, the S'mores ice cream, and I opted to try the limited time Oregon Strawberry flavor. YUM! I always get a sugar cone. The employees here were very friendly and helpful. It was a little busy but they were very efficient. In this area of Kenwood, this is THE place to grab some ice cream! Ordered and consumed a large graeters nectar soda purchased at drive-through today at approximately 1:15 PM. First of all, I was handed someone else's order without a spoon. When I asked for a spoon, they took back the first order they handed me which was not a nectar soda. They then gave me the large nectar soda that I had ordered. Long story short I feel sick now. All that I can attribute the sickness is to the nectar soda. It didn't even taste good. Very disappointed and physically sick. read more

The staff is super-nice, allowing you to take your time and try the different flavors. Now that I've tried it, I can't say that it's much better than the Cali ice creameries. Except for the black raspberry chocolate chip... that one is just awesome. Almost like the chocolate dipped strawberry ice cream at Fosselman's, except the dark chocolate chunks are much bigger and do very well with the raspberry. I would have to say though, that overall, the ice creams are too sweet, overwhelming the flavors they seek to represent. My stars are for the black raspberry chocolate chip and the staff. read more

This review is for the drive thru. Obviously, we all love the ice cream!! And we always appreciate the cleanliness of the inside and play areA. But the drive through service is painfully slow. It's laughable when we are asked to tip after waiting for 30+min.....also, who ASKS for a tip!? The drive thru would be must faster if there were a few changes: only serve pre-packaged items that can be grabbed quickly from the freezer, don't waste time asking for tips, no cash purchases. Graeter's Ice Cream - Candy Stores Near Me - Cincinnati, Ohio

A hometown favorite ice cream and bakery that's been a family business since the beginning. A specialty of Graeter's are the large, random chunks of dark chocolate swirled into each ice cream flavor that has "chip" in the name. My personal favorites are Coffee, Mocha Chip, Black Raspberry Chip, Double Chocolate Chip and of course the state flavor Buckeye Chocolate Chip! Not too sweet, but plenty creamy rich in taste as they make every batch the old fashioned way, in French Pot freezers 2 gallons at a time. Plus they have many other "sweet" offerings to eat if you have a sweet tooth. But don't count calories if you get to try this treat when visiting Cincinnati - yes this is one you don't want to miss. ...or if you absolutely can't stop by, ship it to yourself or friends!! Graeters is the best, enjoy! read more

If you are ever in Cincinnati.... This is the place you should visit. I have asked a few people since we just moved here, what is the place to go for Cincinnati... the spot everyone takes there out of town friends and family?? I have not gotten one clear answer. In my opinion of living here only a few months, this is the place. The best Ice Cream I have ever had... bar none. And the best chocolate dipped cone too!! The Kenwood location was everything I have come to expect from Graeter's. The ice cream is rich and creamy. Coffee is available throughout the day. Both Graeter's and other brand candies are available. As are various gifts & cards. Baked goods are also available. One of the things I really like about Graeter's is their seasonal flavors. On top of winter and summer seasonal flavors one might expect, they also introduce various limited edition flavors throughout the year. An employee once suggested their cinnamon ice cream to me. It is now something I look forward to every year. It is less sweet than their other ice creams. Graeter's makes delicious ice cream sundaes. Their are many sundaes on their menu board, or customers may customize their own. On top of ice cream sherbet and low sugar options are also available. During peak hours, this location could be tricky to get in and out of. read more

As a native Cincinnatian, I can't help but be bias - I prefer this ice cream over most others no matter where I go. But I like to think I have valid reason - those chocolate chips! First off, they're more like chocolate chunks. I've occasionally found one as large as the palm of my hand! Second, they aren't waxy like chocolate chips sometimes are in other brands. They are perfectly creamy and rich and not too hard despite being frozen. I really prefer the flavors with dark chocolate chips - Black Raspberry, Salted Caramel, Black Cherry and sometimes Coconut. If you haven't been, go! And try whatever seasonal flavor they have to offer. Right now (December) they have Cinnamon, Peppermint and Eggnog. read more

TL;DR They have good flavours and great seasonals, after a while they get sweeter and the flavour begins to fade to just sugar. *Review on Icecream* I came here because it has recieved great reviews at every location but maybe it's because of the spoilage I get in such a great melting pot as Toronto, the flavours became underwhelming after a while. Alot of flavours/icecream in general in Toronto have swayed away from using alot of sugar/sweeteners and are really focussed on bring the flavour out by using less sugar and more of the ingrediant the icecream is supposed to taste like. That's just how the icecream I grew up with is like! Torontonian's food scene heavily influence every cuisine and every genre of cooking and that includes icecream. But enough about Canadians *eyerolls*, I really liked tasting samples of the Butterscotch Pecan, Cheese Crown, Stout & Pretzels, Eggnog, and one other basic fruit flavour. I love how you can get icecream and cake topped with whipped cream! It's something you can also get in Toronto but it's basically half the price here after currency conversion!!! I did order the Two Scoops with Whipped Cream & Hot Fudge w/ Cherry on Top and omg was it just sugar. At first I loved it but the fudge masked the flavour of Stout and the butter pecan just tasted like whipped cream. If you like tasting the flavour I suggest just getting too scoops, however I would not get more than 1 scoop here as the icecream is way too sweet for my tastes. But if you love sugar, I highly recommend coming here! Service is very nice and the guy who served me was very nice! Thank you for having me! read more
