I've loved Graeter's for over 60 years. I had to stop in for a favorite seasonal strawberry chip, for April. I was back in town and easy to find this location. Service with a smile and a jumbo chocolate chunk with the last bite. Will certainly be stopping back in Northbrook IL for some pints, with my return back to Chicagoland. Went there today and paid $12.13 for two single scoops of icecream. The first one was on a classic sugar cone and the amount of ice cream on it was the size of a quarter - had it finished before we even cashed out. Second one was in a cup and it was pretty much the same size. Total rip off. I mean the ice cream is good but not worth the ridiculous price if you are going to get such a small serving. Having tried most Graeter's flavors, I need to get around to the Chocolate Coconut Almond Chip. First bite was great! It tasted identical to an Almond Joy. As time passed, the chocolate overload was a lot. I'm not the biggest chocolate ice cream person, but it was still enjoyable. Ice cream place has so many options. It is always clean. I love that. There's an entire kids playroom for families and children to enjoy. I'm visiting from California and the friend I'm visiting made sure this Graeter's was our first stop! It's such a cute shop, and the staff was so friendly. Carter scooped our ice cream and let me try all the most popular flavors -- buckeye, banana chip, hot cocoa, s'mores, and more. I don't know how I have driven past here and kept missing the new location! We were invited to attend a birthday party and both me and my daughter were excited with what we saw. The play area is a very large open space where the kids can run around, play pretend, and enjoy the see saw and slide indoors, giving an outdoor playground feel. Though they overbooked our party hosts rooms and their party setup was delayed, we were able to get in eventually with only being 15-20 into the scheduled time. They allowed more time on the backend to make up for the mistake and the kids were definitely able to take advantage. For the party, they were able to bring their own food, but we did enjoy the amazingness that is Graeter's birthday cake. I loved our time here so, we may just be returning when it's our time to party plan. read more

I'm having trouble understanding why a single scoop of ice cream with some sprinkles is seven dollars plus tax. For a family of 5 that's approaching $40+ for ice cream. On top of that you're presented with the option to tip which starts to feel obnoxious. After tax, I'm already forking over almost $50 for some ice cream. The service is good and the ice cream is OK, but I could go to UDF and get ice cream for a lot less. It's a nice dining experience so I'll give it that. There's often upwards of 10 employees working behind the counter at the location by us. Maybe that's why the prices have gotten so high? Anything more than $5 for a scoop of ice cream in a cup starts to feel unreasonable. read more

I've been going to Graeters since I was a child and my favorite has always been black raspberry chip with chocolate sprinkles on a chocolate dipped waffle cone. NO ONE makes chocolate sprinkles better than Graeters. They are thin and crunchy - none of those thick chewy sprinkles like everywhere else!! I always keep them in my fridge. While black raspberry is my go to, all their flavors are excellent. I wish they made a peanut butter ice cream that had dark chocolate chips - I love the ice cream but hate milk chocolate! Their sorbets are also delicious, and I look forward to my birthday yearly for their free birthday sundae. The new Kenwood location is awesome. I love the play area for kids! It's all ice cream themed and so cool. It's a great place to come in the summer for kids to play and parents to have a break. read more

When they relocated their building from the Kenwood road to Montgomery location, I was amazed with how much room and more selection they carry. The Kenwood location was much smaller and had a congested parking lot. This location has a play room for kids, a drive thru, and more ice cream and other good stuff to offer. I've been here before Covid hit. Mostly visited to get cookies and and the butter bit rolls for my mom back home in Georgia because she and her friends really enjoy them. Their ice cream is where it's at! I have to say that it's one of my faves. Especially the Black Raspberry Chocolate Chip. I love their rewards program because I get the brownie tower free every year. Besides that, customer service has always been on point! Everyone is helpful and friendly. So FYI, they are dog friendly and carry dog treats, and occasionally have treat your dog to ice cream. Make sure to sign up for emails for that. Also they cater, have a bakery section and also have vegan options for those who are lactose intolerant. I'll say it... I'd been to the Kenwood location on Kenwood Rd and really enjoyed it, but when I heard they were moving to a bigger location, I knew it was gonna be even better. Was I right? Absolutely! Same great service you'd expect but made even Graeter! I went with my lady and her parents because her mom really wanted to go... And yes, I did too. It's delicious ice cream! So why not! This location is definitely bigger and better than the Kenwood Road location; more seating inside and out, more goodies to buy, a big play area for kids, and more. The staff were all very friendly and helpful too. First, I got my lady a black raspberry chip scented candle (smells incredible) and a pair of ice cream cone socks. Then we got a few ice cream cones. My lady and I got brown bourbon butter pecan on a waffle cone. She's usually all about black raspberry chip, and I'm all about buckeye blitz chip, but the bourbon pecan was very tasty. Possibly my new favorite flavor. My lady really liked it too. Graeter's is a true Cincinnati staple and it's easy to see why. Every location is excellent and the ice cream always delicious. Ordered and consumed a large graeters nectar soda purchased at drive-through today at approximately 1:15 PM. First of all, I was handed someone else's order without a spoon. When I asked for a spoon, they took back the first order they handed me which was not a nectar soda. They then gave me the large nectar soda that I had ordered. Long story short I feel sick now. First timer and although not a big ice cream fan this place has the resources to make a convert out of me! Plenty of seating in a big open area and lots of ice cream choices to choose from. I selected a hot fudge sunday with whipped cream (which tasted so creamy!) and didn't notice that the server had accidentally put sprinkles on it. I went back to my tried and true Black Raspberry Chip and Buckeye Blitz. I had tried the Brown Butter Bourbon Pecan, and recommended my wife try it. She took the regular Butter Pecan. My friend got my usual favorite, the S'mores ice cream, and I opted to try the limited time Oregon Strawberry flavor. YUM! I always get a sugar cone. The employees here were very friendly and helpful. It was a little busy but they were very efficient. In this area of Kenwood, this is THE place to grab some ice cream! This place is NOT permanently closed. It was a beautiful day for ice cream. Practically the entire city thought so. So this evening after dinner we decided to stop by. We did not want to eat our ice cream in the car on the way home so we ordered cones in a covered cup with the cone on top in a bag. I don't see how any order from a drive thru customer would not possibly want proper packaging to save their ice cream for consumption at home. What's wrong with our youth today? They have been dumbed down so much that the powers that be will win with robot employee replacement and many will be unemployed since they're already unemployable! These girls couldn't follow directions correctly. I didn't even get the right flavor let alone in a covered cup. The other girl said just leave the cone in the cup and not mind the customer! The drive thru wait was at least 25 minutes with about 8 cars in front of us initially. Did she handle every transaction the same way? Makes you wonder..... What chaos!? read more

It's laughable when we are asked to tip after waiting for 30+min.....also, who ASKS for a tip!? A specialty of Graeter's are the large, random chunks of dark chocolate swirled into each ice cream flavor that has "chip" in the name. My personal favorites are Coffee, Mocha Chip, Black Raspberry Chip, Double Chocolate Chip and of course the state flavor Buckeye Chocolate Chip! Not too sweet, but plenty creamy rich in taste as they make every batch the old fashioned way, in French Pot freezers 2 gallons at a time. The Kenwood location was everything I have come to expect from Graeter's. The ice cream is rich and creamy. Coffee is available throughout the day. Both Graeter's and other brand candies are available. As are various gifts & cards. Baked goods are also available. One of the things I really like about Graeter's is their seasonal flavors. On top of winter and summer seasonal flavors one might expect, they also introduce various limited edition flavors throughout the year. An employee once suggested their cinnamon ice cream to me. It is now something I look forward to every year. It is less sweet than their other ice creams. Graeter's makes delicious ice cream sundaes. Their are many sundaes on their menu board, or customers may customize their own. On top of ice cream sherbet and low sugar options are also available. As a native Cincinnatian, I can't help but be bias - I prefer this ice cream over most others no matter where I go. But I like to think I have valid reason - those chocolate chips! First off, they're more like chocolate chunks. I've occasionally found one as large as the palm of my hand! Second, they aren't waxy like chocolate chips sometimes are in other brands. They are perfectly creamy and rich and not too hard despite being frozen. I really prefer the flavors with dark chocolate chips - Black Raspberry, Salted Caramel, Black Cherry and sometimes Coconut. But enough about Canadians *eyerolls*, I really liked tasting samples of the Butterscotch Pecan, Cheese Crown, Stout & Pretzels, Eggnog, and one other basic fruit flavour. I love how you can get icecream and cake topped with whipped cream! It's something you can also get in Toronto but it's basically half the price here after currency conversion!!! I did order the Two Scoops with Whipped Cream & Hot Fudge w/ Cherry on Top and omg was it just sugar. At first I loved it but the fudge masked the flavour of Stout and the butter pecan just tasted like whipped cream. If you like tasting the flavour I suggest just getting too scoops, however I would not get more than 1 scoop here as the icecream is way too sweet for my tastes. My rating hasn't changed, but I had to give them kudos for National Ice Cream Day. I arrived and parking was sparse. When I got to the door, I barely got in the door and that was where the line began! But hey, I wasn't in a hurry and I wanted ice cream. The line went amazingly fast! AND, when I got to the front of the line the young woman who waited on me greeted me with a smile! I complimented her on that, especially since it was already in the evening.
