My rating hasn't changed, but I had to give them kudos for National Ice Cream Day. I arrived and parking was sparse. When I got to the door, I barely got in the door and that was where the line began! But hey, I wasn't in a hurry and I wanted ice cream. The line went amazingly fast! AND, when I got to the front of the line the young woman who waited on me greeted me with a smile! I complimented her on that, especially since it was already in the evening. Fantastic service and great ice cream! read more

Great place to grab a cone, or outstanding donuts. Great service as well.We have tried several flavors of ice cream and enjoyed each one.

I search out ice cream and have had Graeter's on my list for years. It was worth it and I will go back any time I can. I was travelling through town and did not get to sit explore in depth, so only had a scoop of ice cream, but there were plenty of other options. the ice cream was smooth and creamy. Almost every flavor has chocolate in it because their ice cream making technique keeps chocolate's flavor better than you get anywhere else. Enjoy! I need to come back. read more

The ice cream is the best in Cincinnati. The store is clean and the employees are friendly and very helpful.

Now let me tell you a thing about this graeters they have a worker here who goes above and beyond the call of duty when it comes to working Ice cream me and my friends were served by a young man Tony who took our orders helped ring us out and ran the drive through a trifecta nonetheless. It was wonderful come see Tony I know we will be return God bless you Tony of Montgomery, God Bless Graeters and God bless the United States of America read more

Have not eaten any food here but it looks yummy. I have had their ice cream and it is extremely good. A large selection of flavors and ways to serve it. Even with long lines it's quick to get served since there are a lot of counter staff working. On the first Thursday of the summer months they have doggy night from 6-9 pm. Free doggy ice cream for your pups. If it's hot enough they put up a doggy pool next to the building for the pups to play in. The ice cream is a bit pricey but the quality is worth it. read more

Friendly service, centric and nice themed stores. The ice creams are just great, very tasteful. My favorites is black cherry chocolate chip

Oh my gosh. I would give this place way more than five stars if I could. Best. Ice. Cream. Ever. The double chocolate chip is my absolute favorite. All the other flavors are luscious, but this one is fabulous. I always have to go here when I visit family in Ohio. My dad even brought a four-pack home to California one time using dry-ice on the plane. If you're ever in the Cincinnati or Dayton area in Ohio, GO HERE. You won't be disappointed. read more

reminds me alot of a mix between ben and jerrys with a braum's type feel. only tried the dark chocolate raspberry but that was very yummy with a creamy consistency, and hUGE chunks of chocolate. we asked for a kids scoop and it was more than enough for me. staff was super friendly and helpful too! read more

When will they expand into Florida?? This is such a treat! Love this stroll down memory lane! The mocha chip ice cream is the best! The ice cream is so creamy and the chocolate chips are the size of TX! They also have delicious almond tea rings. It's too bad they don't ship these things! They only make them on Thursdays and Saturdays. Good news is they will special order one for you or hold one if you call ahead of time. Now that is service! read more

Yum. I went for the raspberry choc chip and the black cherry chip! Both full of chocolate chunks and shavings of chocolate, and fruit flavor! Loved them both. read more

I had high hopes for Graeter's but found it to be only okay. I couldn't believe they were low on the Hippo flavor and I didn't get any! But the peanuts threw me off on that anyway. The ice cream itself is not super creamy. My favorite ice creams are super smooth and super creamy. In fact, I'm really not even a fan of ice cream if it's not rich, indulgent creamy. I mean, I ate it, okay. I wasn't going to let an ice cream sundae go to waste, especially with chopped pecans on it (I say pee-can, but here they say pa-kahn). But, it wasn't my favorite. To each their own. read more

Seriously? You built a new building and can't handle he crowd. Upon entering there are 40 ppl in line on Monday afternoon. Poor management at best, your old location was much more efficient. We will not be back. read more

Within walking distance for us so that's a plus. The ice cream is great but not a fan of the artificial coloring and high fructose corn syrup found in some of their flavors. We usually end up getting pints there because it's such a way better value but the staff always tries to up sell you at the register. It's kind of annoying honestly so when I check out - I always say - "this is all I want" which still doesn't stop the up selling. Always wanting us to get doughnuts or pastries in addition to the ice cream. read more

This place is really good. All the flavors had alot of punch. I love strong flavored ice cream! Stout and pumpkin were awesome. Would come back again. read more

Super friendly staff, great ice cream, and an amazing place! Me and my friends live coming here and hanging out. Seating may be somewhat limited at times, but that doesn't stop the amazing experience to be had here. Graeter's is a must whenever visiting Cincinnati, and this location is one of our favorites. The ice cream is always top quality, and are always amazing. Rarely will there be a poor experience, and they will always try to make it the best possible. Amazing overall! read more

I love Mint Chocolate Chip Ice Cream. Shamelessly and completely. The chips in Graeter's Mint Chocolate Chip ice cream fell from the heavens; not because they're so good, but because they're the size of freakin' asteroids. If you're within their service area and you DON'T visit them, you probably don't like ice cream. That is all. read more

Spoiled. Spoiled. Spoiled. I grew up eating this creamy, frozen goodness and I have yet to find any ice cream parlor that can touch this little scoop of heaven. I always have a pint or four in my freezer, which makes living almost 300 miles away from my hometown bearable. The nice thing about Greater's is that they will ship the yummy pints of glorious gloop everywhere. Every time I go home, I grab a scoop of Black Raspberry Chip on a sugar cone (a must-have if you are a Graeter's virgin). The best part of their "chipped" ice creams, the pieces of bittersweet chocolate aren't really chips at all, they're more like bars. Mmm... It's just that good. read more

This specific graeter's has an outside area that is dog friendly. As far as best ice creams IMHO: - Black Raspberry chip - Double chocolate chip (make sure not to get regular vanilla choc chip clearly not as good) - Peanut butter chip - Mocha chip if you combine the double chocolate chip and the chunk chunk hippo its also a good combo read more

My road trip took me to a lot of places, and inevitably ice-cream figured as part of the place that I visited. That and Susan N.'s insistence to eat all things ice-cream. Her sister recommended this place (not the location, but the ice-cream chain) so we *had* to go. Or else I'd be stuck with a grumbling Susan for the rest of the drive. So we came. And there were so many choices! But what do you know? They let you try any flavor before you buy. And you know what else? They have this 3-scoop mini-sampler, where you can get 3 different flavors, about a 1/4 cup of each version in mini cones. For about 3 bucks. I chose: Black Raspberry Chip Strawberry Chocolate Chip Mango Sorbet I loved the Black Raspberry Chip. Now the ice-cream here is pretty fantastic. As good as the stuff I had in Interlaken? No. But pretty darn close! And Susan was happy as well. read more

It is important to note that I am not a huge fan of big chunks of stuff in my ice cream. For those that are though, Graeter's cannot be beat. I have had two flavors since moving to the area and both were very good. Cookies and cream was very good. It had large cookie chunks and the ice cream is very good. The other flavor I have had, and has since become my go to/mild obsession, is the Black Raspberry Chocolate Chip. Wow is it good. The black raspberry flavor is so decadent and flavorful, its hard to understand how they make it taste this good. With chunks of chocolate ranging in size from small to unreasonable it is no wonder they are "famous" for this flavor. I really only have two complaints. My first is with the ice cream. Like I said, I am not a huge fan of large chunks in my ice cream. I understand that this is a personal preference and I am for sure in the minority. My second complaint, and a normal complaint among these types of stores, is it is way to cutesy. The atmosphere of this location is hard for me to palette. I get what they are going for, it is just not for me. I for one will take my treat to go. Graeter's is awesome ice cream, and for many cannot be beat. I personally have already given my heart to another, Dojo, but this is honestly really really good. I would recommend it to everyone, but only as a fall back to my true love. read more

First off I love Graeter's ice cream. Yes there are other good places with good ice cream but the chips alone tip the scales. I do like this location as it is central and near Kenwood, Madeira, Blue Ash and Montgomery but sometimes with the Kenwood traffic it is a little stressful with pulling in and parking. Other than that this location is great. They have plenty of seating inside and a few tables outside. read more

Total disclaimer: I Yelp-rate 4/5 based on goods and 5/5 based on people. Bonus: The employee I'm rating on from this Graeters, Justin, shares a name with my brother. *fist bump* So, story time: A few weeks ago, I had the pleasure of enjoying a life-changing and unexpected dessert called a CHEESE CROWN from Holtman's bakery in OTR. Never did I know such a thing existed, as it's (maybe) a Cincinnati thing. Don't really care for the origin; bottom line: It's awesome. Well, a fellow Yelper messaged me after that review and suggested trying the OG Cheese Crown from Graeter's. So, eager on my quest, I followed his advice and began the hunt. The nearest Graeter's, in Fountain Square, had been cleaned out of pastry that day so I chose the next location out in Kenwood for the confection. Mr. Justin, the employee who helped me and thus the star and young protagonist of this review, was exceptionally empathetic to my mission. He suggested the finest cheese crown on display. Additionally, he showed me a blueberry cheese crown (!), a new(er) treat, and even had suggestions on how to bag and store the delicious siblings. [Food review: I was not disappointed -- and neither was my companion in taste testing, who had tried the initial Holtman's cheese crown. We both agreed the Graeters blueberry cheese crown was better than the Graeter's non-blueberry cheese crown.] Young Justin did not judge me at all during this exchange; as a parting gift, he offered a spoon of cheese crown ice cream (also delicious) AND helped me to enroll in the Graeter's birthday club, for which I was told I will receive a complimentary ice cream on my birthday. He was even so kind as to be discreet about my age, not asking even though I volunteered the information sans filter. Birthdays are a privilege, y'all -- stand proud. Anyhoo, I'll be getting cheese crowns from Holtman's and sticking to ice cream at Graeter's, but if you're ever at this location, say hi to Justin and feel confident you're getting the best of both in service and in ice cream. And sign up for the birthday club: it's free and probably worth it. read more

yummy yummy yummy I've got love in my tummy and it's Graeter's ice-cream.... Known for their raspberry chip which is not usually my favorite but WHOA! This is a great family ice cream shop. The service I received was quick and friendly. The location is very good in this busy part of town although the parking lot is a little small . This is a very nice Graeter's, much larger than our Lexington locations. Lots of cakes and pies, a chocolate section, Graeter's bread. I didn't know they made bread! And racks behind the showcases that apparently hold donuts, although they were empty the evening we visited. Graeter''s donuts? How bad can that be? When it comes to ice cream, I'm a purist. I don't want mine covered with "stuff", especially when the ice cream is top notch like Graeter's. I usually like to try the seasonal or limited edition flavors, and on this night I went for the Key Lime. Outstanding! Creamy, with that Key Lime tartness. Quality always! read more

This is my first time at a Graeter's and I'm glad I chose this location. The ice cream is simply sublime. The ice cream melts in you mouth. You can taste every ingredient and you can tell this is an old fashioned recipe that focuses on taste and freshness rather than crazy flavors. You can tell this is truly hand-dipped ice cream. Yummm!! This location also has wonderful customer service and is very clean. If you're ever in the Cincy please visit Grater's. It's worth the trip!!! read more

All sorts of people visit or move to Cincinnati. When you talk to these people about Cincy, our people, our heritage, our culture and our food traditions you get mixed reviews. Some people can't foster a love for the Bengals. I've heard our chili referred to as "meat soup" by a buddy from outside Philly. The quaintness of the hillside views wears on one when you have to drive up or down them in the winter. They just don't always get us. But there is one thing I've never heard a cross word about... Graeter's. My dad took the family out to dinner every Friday night. Sometimes we'd hit a nice expensive restaurant and sometimes just a hole in the wall. We always went to a restaurant that was either on or around Hyde Park Square or Ludlow Avenue in Clifton because every Friday dessert was a double dip Graeter's cone and a stroll around the square or gaslight. I grew up on this stuff. When I grew up and started to see other parts of the world one thing I quickly became aware of was how unfortunate others were not to have had this all their lives! I have never run into an ice cream that even comes close anywhere. We are lucky to have Graeter's! read more

First time I've ordered a decorated cake. It was as fantastic as their ice cream. Beautifully decorated, better than I asked for or expected. Cake was moist. Buttercream frosting was smooth & creamy & didn't have that sickeningly sweet taste or greasy texture you usually get from buttercream, in my house we have 1 that usually leaves the cake behind & 1 that usually leaves the frosting behind, but, this cake everyone ate the entire piece. read more

A classic in Cincinnati. Oprah loves it. You have to compare your favorite here to UDF and this place will always win. Now if you compare it to Aglamisis Brother's there will be some back and forth. I am not a big ice cream fan, but I know people who are. Besides, they also sell baked goods, candy & pastries, so you have no reason to be unhappy here. Go for a meal substutute if you must but do not skip trying something. My brother had the 1870 sundae on back to back visits. He found heaven. Another time, I had a banana split. Another time I had pastries. All are excellent. I am a huge Graeter's fan! I've never had better ice cream. And their chocolate chips are to die for! It's the best when you get a really big one and you have like three whole bites of chocolately goodness with your ice cream. On this particular visit I cashed in on my free ice cream sundae for my birthday. My husband, MIL and I have made it a habit to go get the 1870 Tower and share it because it is literally that big! And delicious! The service was great as always. The staff never bats an eye when my husband asks for 5 samples. We're always given service with a smile and we love it! Since moving to Pleasant Ridge a few months ago we have been visiting the Hyde Park location, but we realized that Kenwood is probably about equidistant and they have their own parking lot (no street parking/meters to deal with), so we'll probably start visiting here more often. read more

I've eaten at various Graeter's around town, but recently visited the Kenwood location for the first time. The inside is huge. There are tons of counters with cakes, baked goods, and of course, chocolates. The ice cream was scooped up fresh and quick, and was served in fancy plastic crystal bowls. This is definitely one of the more upscale Graeter's in Cincinnati. The store itself was packed with people during the after-dinner hours. While the store was gigantic, there were limited areas to sit. The tables were so close together I felt like I was sitting on my neighbor's lap. The parking lot is a tight squeeze and has an awkward layout: parallel parking spaces. Kenwood is notorious for drivers with large SUVs, which makes it difficult for others maneuver around the parking lot. Nonetheless, the ice cream was delicious and I enjoyed my outing with friends. 99% of you have probably eaten at a Graeter's before, but just for kicks, here are my recommended flavors: - black raspberry chip - mocha chip - mint chocolate chip - chocolate chip - chocolate chocolate chip ...pretty much everything here is good! read more

Cincinnati classic, obviously. We could talk the ice cream and the famous choice (Black raspberry chip--DUH), but I wanna talk baked goods today because thanksgiving is Thursday and I just ordered my pies. Call ahead and order your holiday baked goods!! I learned this incredible secret when I was an employee here years ago. The butter bit rolls are an obvious choice because thanksgiving needs its rolls. They are wonderful and flaky and perfect. Toast them in the oven!! As far as pie, you can't go wrong. Nothing fancy just simplicity done well. We usually go for pumpkin and pecan. They used to have a really good apple cranberry I think and that was good too! Just generally speaking the donuts are like crack and I do consider myself a donut expert. SOUR CREAM dunkers!!!! Rich and moist and has a crisp outer shell and they are perfect. Go eat bakery goods at Graeters. read more

Graeter's Ice Cream - Always make a stop when I'm in town for work. - Candy Stores Near Me - Cincinnati, Ohio

I stopped by with my family to pick up an ice cream cake for my daughter's birthday. Needless to say, it was good. $26 worth of good. Probably when I think about it, yes. But as a dad I still blanch at $26 for a cake. But it's for my little girl. And it was good. You don't feel cheated here. But what I did feel was a bit uncomfortable at this location. I don't drive to Kenwood often. Actually, I try to avoid it. But you'd think they can do better than this ugly pink/purple building that looked more like an old arcade from the 80s than a wonderful ice cream shop. The seating area was a bit small. It's a large shop but they seem to want you to move along. We weren't there at a busy time but all the seats were taken. Which I kinda expected with the small lot. We parked at the business next door. Your typical silly Kenwood area vehicles were taking up the limited space. I counted three taking up 2 spaces. If I'm driving down 71 again and have the need for Graeters, I'll keep driving to another location. read more
