Plenty of indoor seating, super fun and cute vibes.

If you're looking for absolutely delicious ice cream, Simply Rolled is your new favorite spot, I promise. We had vanilla, and vegan chocolate with several mix-ins and toppings. Both were delicious, but the vegan chocolate was out of this world. Better than any regular chocolate ice cream I've had. It's so creamy. I suggest getting mix-ins, and toppings. If you only get toppings, there is only a little room on top, and then once you eat the first few bites, you have just plain ice cream for most of the bowl. The staff was friendly, patient, and very helpful. All allergens are clearly marked on the menu, which I very much appreciate. There were plenty of vegan/dairy free and gluten free options! My daughter has a couple allergies, and the employee was happy to explain and answer questions. The bowls were $9, but they easily feed 2 people in my opinion. Even if you don't split a bowl, it's a fair price for the quality of ingredients, the good vibes and staff, and the fun of watching it being made right in front of your eyes. My kids loved it!

I had a very disappointing experience at Simply Rolled in Cincinnati. Yesterday, I ordered a rolled ice cream with a chocolate base, mixed with Nutella and strawberry, and asked for strawberry, banana, Nutella, and raspberry as toppings. First of all, they didn't have the chocolate base, but no one informed me. Instead, they just used vanilla ice cream mixed with Nesquik cocoa a completely different flavor and not what I asked for. On top of that, they replaced raspberries with blueberries (again, without telling me), and didn't add any Nutella on top as requested. What's worse is that they made all these changes without saying a word or giving me a choice. That's not acceptable. I don't even want to give one star it's a shame. I will never go back, and I definitely don't recommend this place to anyone. If you care about getting what you actually order, this is not the place for you.

Matcha berry (green tea based ice cream with condensed milk, blueberries+raspberries) $7.99

Rolled ice cream is a great concept, but truth be told, it doesn't taste anything too different than regular ice cream. It's really just a more cumbersome process of making it I think! There's different combination that you can try and I did try the green tea + berries and thought it was a bit too sweet for my taste. But, that wasn't too surprising, as I think condensed milk was part of the things that was mixed into the rolled ice cream as well. Overall, the ice cream was ok. I really wished I could taste more of a green tea in an ice cream. I also wished there's a bit more toppings given the price (they put a bit of blue berries in the rolled ice cream as well..but probably not more than a few of them). If you've never tried it, by all means, give this shop a chance and try it. It's a little pricey for $7.99, but that's how inflation affected pricing everywhere nowadays. The place was clean and the ice cream product was totally instagram-able. The other minus was...the restroom was out of order. So, it wasn't convenient to be eating all the ice cream, feeling cold..and couldn't go to a restroom!

Smores treat for a hot hot day.

Walked by many times when it was closed but thought I would like this. Finally found it open and in I went. You can build your own creation, or pick from a featured one. I chose Smores, and was so glad I did. They mix the ingredients - in my case graham crackers, chocolate, marshmello cream and vanilla ice cream - place it on a frozen service, and after mixing spread it ultra thin and roll up. Service was good, even though everyone is made to order while you wait. Cost was $7.75 and I think that's very reasonable for the product. Such a treat during this hot wave we're in. Can't wait to go back and try another!

$6.50 for a signature roll, or you can create-your-own cup with unlimited toppings. Place your order at the register and then watch your ice cream get rolled! PROS: It's a fun experience if you never had rolled ice cream before. Once the novelty of rolled ice cream has worn off, I still recommend this treat if you want to try out different combinations of flavors and toppings. CONS: Seating is limited, and service can be slow. Presentation of ice cream can sometimes be a bit sloppy.

This dessert was absolutely delicious!!!! If you are in Cincy please go to this establishment, you won't be disappointed. The ice cream is made from scratch and right in front of you. At first we were skeptical of rolled ice cream and didn't know what to expect. My fiancé ordered the Oreo ice cream and I had the mango. Both were so good! I'm glad we found this spot. We will definitely be back again!

Simply Rolled's concept of ice cream is both unique and delicious. The finished product is just about the only good thing about this business though. It's a shame as they could be capitalizing on a high demand, but instead Simply Rolled is far too understaffed to make this a quick enjoyable place to get some ice cream. My wife and I visited on a Friday night. We waited just under 30 minutes for our ice cream. You can call ahead to order, yet the two folks that I noticed come in for their call ahead orders were informed their ice cream wasn't ready and they would need to wait as well. Oh, and there were about 6 DoorDash orders that the workers would alternate preparing between the orders for the customers in the store. With only two people working, they were visibly stressed and overwhelmed. Preparing a single bowl takes about 6-7 minutes I'd guess. When a party of four walked in, I could see the dread in one of the worker's eyes as he glanced at the clock. I truly felt bad for them. They need help. Yes, it was a busy Friday night, but this is always the case anytime I visit. Even on weeknights. My wife received her order first and waited, and waited, and waited for mine to be ready so we could enjoy together. It somewhat ruined the experience. Not to mention the overall vibe of a bunch of people sitting around awkwardly also thinking "wow, this is taking forever." If you're going to implement a business where each serving takes about 8-10 minutes per customer including payment, hire the appropriate amount of staff to facilitate that structure. I like the ice cream. I really do. But the wait and overall experience outweighs the tasty little rolls. Bolster your staffing to accommodate the clear demand.

Service was fast, it was cool to watch, and tasted delicious! I would say the price is comparable to any other ice cream shop if you got two scoops. There is more than you think in the cup.

Simply Rolled is a can't-miss destination if you enjoy ice cream! I feel like I've been living a sheltered existing until now. Recommended by a friend, we stopped in for a little dessert after dining nearby. Wow! Not only is the ice cream heavenly, it's also an experience. You can stand and watch the staff create your selection -- sort of like a Japanese restaurant where the entrees are prepared right at your table. For my first visit, I ordered the Salty Caramel Pretzel. Yum! I enjoyed each and every bite. My husband chose the "create your own" path with a brownie batter base, peanut butter cups and hot fudge. I didn't try a bite but it sure looked delicious. When we go back, I'm dying to try to Strawberry Serenity. So what are you waiting for? They're open until 10 pm Sunday through Thursday and until 11 on Friday and Saturday. Your ice cream utopia awaits. Bon appetit!

This is a great ice cream parlor. They make it in front of you on a cold steel plate. Once you choose your liquid base and mix-ins, they chop it all together on a cold surface and it turns into thin layer of solid ice, that is next scraped into rolls of ice cream. It takes a lot of time and labor, but you get a personalized dessert made-to-order on the spot. You can also choose toppings. I am vanilla plain ice cream type of guy, but I like this once in a while.

I've only had rolled ice cream one other time and I have to say this place raised the bar. This place has multiple ice cream base flavors (including a vegan option!) and soooooooo many toppings! Best of all they give you preset options to choose from, but also allow you to create your own with anything your heart desires for the same price. Seriously, there's no limit to what you can top your choice with. It's super busy and kind of small, but they do have 4 separate rolling stations so it moves at a reasonable pace. Definitely worth rolling on in (see what I did there )

I came here because a friend I was with had never had rolled ice cream before. I stand by my personal opinion of not enjoying rolled ice cream. The flavor here was okay but the pretzels were stale.

First, it's…read morelocated in a really lovely part of Pendleton near a part of Broadway that's permanently closed for pedestrians and outdoor dining, so the ambiance is really nice. The inside of the shop is interesting, with knickknacks and things to look at in every corner- kids would love it for this reason! I immediately noticed that there were no prices on the menu... there were cups displayed on the counter with small/medium/large pricing but it wasn't clear what these cups were for- it looked like shakes. It was very off-putting for me to not know the prices of what I'm ordering, especially with more specialty items like cookie dough or coffee/ice cream creations where I can't predict a standard price. Second, there was only one dairy-free option... a cookies and cream ice cream. While it was tasty, it was my only option and that never feels great to order something because you have to. It also didn't have a description or any info available so I was left wondering what made it nondairy... almond? Coconut? Oil? Of course at a creamy whip type place I'm not going to expect the entire menu to accommodate me, but it's nice when there are at least a couple other options- especially with coffee, it would be easy to have a nondairy milk available or a sorbet/dole whip since they already carry many flavors. I tried a tiny bite of my husband's edible cookie dough and it was delicious! Seemed really sweet though- he could barely finish his side by side because it was so sugary--a good problem to have :)) I think I would go back if I had friends with me or happened to be in the area for Blink or the pool or something, but otherwise I would probably choose somewhere else where I have more options s and I know what I'm going to spend.
