The amount of times I've driven across the river to get Golden Gelato is laughable at this point. They are always friendly and will let you try a couple samples. The flavors are great and love the new flavors weekly to sprinkle in with the staples. The texture is so smooth! My wife and I enjoy sitting at the window seat in the main shop, but plenty of extra seats in the space attached. I've never been to Italy, but I find it hard to believe that they're putting out a better product than what GG is doing here stateside. Consistently friendly folk who know their way around the cream. Although there are only about ten flavors of gelato/sorbet at a time, I hear that they rotate through flavors. They had a good mix, including the all-important mint chip as well as some classic fruit candy flavors. The goat cheese and blueberry delivered a robust flavor mix. My mint chip had the sort of fine bittersweet chocolate flakes one gets from Italian places. And for the quality of gelato I got, it was a good amount for the price.
