OMGoodness!!! I LOVE this place. Today I had a scoop of the newly added Peanut Butter and Oreo Gelato. Super yum! It was peanut butter heaven. I have been a huge fan of Dojo since they first opened at the Findlay Market. I found their Blue Rock location to also be convenient and family-friendly. Plus there's plenty of seating and on-street parking. It's a really cool space.

Just located on the corner of Blue Rock Road and Colrain Avenue, you can't miss this opportunity to experience the best gelato!!! Such a whimsical place that creates a fun atmosphere and what makes this place special are those inside keeping this place happening!! Love the seasonal flavor line up! Best part they allow a little sample so you can decide whether or not you'd like to be adventurous and go for something mind blowing, or simply resort to the usual. I had the ambition to sample a couple that were well a little peculiar. I sample the Strawberry Jalapeño and the....wait for it....Olive Oil gelato! Crazy right?? No! It's ingenious! I actually enjoyed both flavors. The strawberry Jalapeño had a strong strawberry flavor and then it's like, Jalapeño just became strawberries best friend! The two marry together so well it was a pleasurable surprise! The olive oil gelato was quite fun too!! So as it hit my tongue I'm searching and searching for that distinct Olive oil flavor, all while I'm tasting more like vanilla then suddenly at the very end it was like BANG, there you are Olive oil! That was amazingly delicious! Be adventurous! Give this place a go!!! I'll be back to try more of the seasonal flavors!

Can strawberries and jalapeños coincide in gelato and be absolutely everything you didn't know you wanted it to be? Did you ever want captain crunch in gelato form? Can salted caramel somehow be enhanced? Dojo Gelato makes all these dreams happen. I've loved them from the moment I tried them at a food truck in 2011 and I will continue to love them with an everlasting love. Dojo Gelato forever!

Domo arigato DOJO GELATO! A great place to visit to cool off for a summertime treat! Their patio area has lightweight aluminum chairs and striped table umbrellas surrounded by a sleek black iron fence. They touched it up with some beautiful flower box planters and other additional foliage. The staff is friendly and helpful when it comes to allergies and can provide suggestions on substitutions they have to offer. Hannah helped my brother come up with something that his son was able to have with all his allergies. She displayed confidence and assurance that put my brother at ease (as you can imagine as a parent and protecting your child from having any sort of allergic reaction). I ordered their "Dirty Hippie" signature sundae (Vanilla gelato, blueberry granola, wildflower honey, whipped cream, candied ginger). I had to make some alterations due to allergen issues so I cannot speak to the authentic version of the sundae, but I can say that the Coconut Vanilla Gelato that I subbed it with was FANTASTIC!!! They have a unique variety of signature sundaes, plenty of toppings and beverage items as well! If you haven't tried them yet, make your way down to northside and grab some gelato this summer!

Best gelato I've had. Creamy and fresh, simply the best. The northside location is super cute and I really enjoyed it. So many flavors and choices, my daughter was able to have vegan/dairy free options. Love love love this treat!

I love this place. Do yourself a favor and grab the buttercake, brown eyed girl or vietnamese coffee! Also if you like espresso, try their affogato! Idy deliciousssss.

Dojo Gelato has a newer location. It opened up a free standing shop in Northside. While the location isn't as happening as the Findlay Market one, it still has the great gelatos and sorbettos. It also has a nice patio area. The menu features a few different flavors than the first location. Here it has more room, allowing them to have a larger menu which makes it even harder to choose. It has many gelatos, all made fresh. They also always have several sorbettos, which are vegan. It has a nice seating area. The neighborhood is much quieter than the location in the Findlay Market. I had the double scoop of hot chocolate and strawberry sorbettos. It's about $5 for a bowl, but considering how large the scoop size is and the quality, this is fine. The service is pretty friendly here too. It has many tables in the seating area. Some of these don't have an umbrella, so that's a problem if it's hot or it's raining. The funny comments on the easel are must see if you go there.

Dojo is closed but every Saturday they are having breakfast and espresso.

This gelato is delicious! Over the summer they have Peach Cobbler which is some of the best peach ice cream/gelato in the city. And those chunks of cobbler in it are killer! Another must try is the San Pellegrino float: prickly pear San Pellegrino with lemon sorbet in it. So gooood!! The atmosphere is great, with a bunch of outdoor spaces out seating.

Stumbled across this cute little desert place on my way out of Northside and couldn't help but stopping by. The glow and bright colors of the corner space are sure to draw anyone in. There is a generous parking lot just across the street dedicated for customers. It was hard to decide what to get, as everything looked so good! I finally gave in to my weakness for blueberry anything and chose the Blueberry Port gelato in a waffle cone. I really enjoyed the flavor. There is plenty of umbrella table seating if you want to enjoy there. Ask for samples if you are having a hard time deciding on flavor!

Dojo Gelato is probably one of the cutest gelato shops in Cincinnati! I knew the moment I heard about the vegan options I knew it was for me. Even though I'm not vegan, having any option that is lactose free is amazing. I decided on getting a Pellegrino mixed with a mango ginger sorbet. It definitely was delicious, I wish I would have gotten a regular cone, just to have a good baseline. The lines can get a little crazy, and it can take a little bit of time to make some of the of the specialty items, but a cone or a dish would take less time. You get a ton of gelato for a very reasonable price. The outdoor seating area is large, is very well kept. I chose to walk around a little bit and see more of the neighborhood. This is a great addition to Northside, and a great way to end the night.

Awesome little gelato and coffee parlor in north side. My wife and I split the Hunky Dory which was delicious - nice outdoor seating as well and a huge plus that it's dog friendly.

The lovely Katie introduced me to this DoJo Gelato location today. Same great gelato as the Findley Market location, but excellent outdoor seating, with bistro lights. I want to go back in the evening now. I had the Apocalypse Cow.

The best part about this gelato place - they have parking across the street! Place is very trendy looking and makes for a good instagram photo (especially at sunset). Got a scoop of the Vietnamese coffee and I love the coffee grounds in it! Very delicious scoop for $4.

One scoop of PB Oreo and one of Toffee with housemade hot fudge!

First, it's…read morelocated in a really lovely part of Pendleton near a part of Broadway that's permanently closed for pedestrians and outdoor dining, so the ambiance is really nice. The inside of the shop is interesting, with knickknacks and things to look at in every corner- kids would love it for this reason! I immediately noticed that there were no prices on the menu... there were cups displayed on the counter with small/medium/large pricing but it wasn't clear what these cups were for- it looked like shakes. It was very off-putting for me to not know the prices of what I'm ordering, especially with more specialty items like cookie dough or coffee/ice cream creations where I can't predict a standard price. Second, there was only one dairy-free option... a cookies and cream ice cream. While it was tasty, it was my only option and that never feels great to order something because you have to. It also didn't have a description or any info available so I was left wondering what made it nondairy... almond? Coconut? Oil? Of course at a creamy whip type place I'm not going to expect the entire menu to accommodate me, but it's nice when there are at least a couple other options- especially with coffee, it would be easy to have a nondairy milk available or a sorbet/dole whip since they already carry many flavors. I tried a tiny bite of my husband's edible cookie dough and it was delicious! Seemed really sweet though- he could barely finish his side by side because it was so sugary--a good problem to have :)) I think I would go back if I had friends with me or happened to be in the area for Blink or the pool or something, but otherwise I would probably choose somewhere else where I have more options s and I know what I'm going to spend.
