Food is okay, home fries were cold, but eggs were fine. I have eaten here three times. Each time something was either cold or overcooked. But the true issue is the service and the manager (either the women or the man) at the front door. Gruff diner waitresses are a classic east coast thing, but these are not gruff, they ignore you and when you order act like you are bothering them. Never a smile. They check with you on how is your order, but it is as they breeze by and if you say no another look like what, geez can't you see that I am busy. Then the women and man at the door, are lounging in the front booth like it is a living room and these people (us customers) are uninvited guest that they cannot wait until they leave. Bypass this place and head into Bethlehem and go to the Blue Sky Cafe on 4th street. Pleasant service and not just good, but great food. read more

First time here. Food was average at best. Meals were not served hot. French onion soup was tasteless. Service wasn't bad and the prices were ok. Lady at the counter was not very pleasant. I'd give it another try but not in a rush to go back. read more

Great diner. Soups are amazing. Don't think I ever had a meal that I didn't like. My son loves the Panini's. Dinner specials include soup, salad, dinner, and dessert. You will never leave hungry. Oh and don't leave out breakfast, yum!!! read more

Typical family diner. Large, tasty burgers with fresh toppings and crispy fries. The coleslaw was a bit strong (fresh?) but overall a nice experience. The sever did a great job! The ice cream with whipped cream and sprinkles with the kids meals was a nice touch. read more

This is the 2nd time I've eaten breakfast here and both times have been very good. Had the giant french toast the 1st time (over a year ago) and a western omelet this morning. Both occasions the food was delicious. The place was clean and the waitstaff attentive. Not to mention - the pricing is very reasonable for the portions you receive. This place is great! We love eating here all the time. The breakfast is always good, and their dinners are great. We especially love the home made specials, like the pot roast and the beef tips. Their taco salad is the best I've ever had, and it's huge! Sometimes on Sundays there is a small wait, but definitely worth the wait! We don't go anywhere else for sunday brunch! read more

I love soup...the Hellertown Diner always offers at least four soups to select from, and all of them are fantastic! On Fridays, their seafood bisque is THE BEST ever. The cup of soup provides a larger portion than a bowl does at any other restaurant or diner. The burgers are delicious, large, with fries...most importantly, they are prepared to the level of doneness you request...very satisfying. Once again, the price is reasonable beyond compare. Went there as a guest last night there was 7 of us we called to let them know we were coming we all wanted the Lobster tails and when we got there they said there was only enough for 4 of us as we ask why we called the owners Daughter came to the table and was VERY RUDE to us so as the other 3 people ordered the food was almost not ate able all our baked pot, was turning black as we un did the foil spent lots of money on the food and was left on the table uneaten,And this was a FRIDAY NO Lobster !!!!!!!Waitress was very good the manger was not good almost Nasty as we were good customers will NEVER!!!!!GO BACK!!!!!!!!!! read more

This diner has clueless servers as well as no busboys even on busy weekends. The waitresses are constantly texting and talking amongst themselves as if they have no customers. The owner seems like a very nasty man, witnessing him yell at the employees. The final straw for me was witnessing was witnessing a waitress coming out of the bathroom stall without even washing her hands. To me this is totally inexcusable and against the health department code. Save your money and your time and bypass this diner. Nobody can afford getting sick due to waitresses not washing their hands. read more

The Hellertown Diner has a great staff of servers and Hostesses and it is a shame that someone that was so personable is no longer working there. They have great food. I have never had any problems with any person in that resturant and would love to know where the hostess is currently working so that she can be visited at her new place of employment. It is a shame that Sharon was so bitter in her day that she had to ruin so many others. read more

ate here to pass the time this morning waiting for a business associate. service was quick, polite.. drink came out almost immediately, food in about 5 minutes. my waitress was good, asking a few times if everything was alright. good omelet and home fries, good atmosphere. maybe a little pricey but still a good experience. read more

Ate at the Hellertown diner last week. I appreciate that diners, with their extensive menus, cannot always hit a home run but at least they can try and hit the ball. Three of us had the Ruben panini. The corned beef was thick slabs of mystery meat, totally lacking in taste and difficult to chew. The sauerkraut out of a can without benefit of any other effort; and the bread just some lightly toasted dry white bread. I awarded one star because the fries were hot and because Yelp does not have a 0 star category! read more

This is a nice family restaurant with great food. The food was good and large quantity. Our server was very nice and prompt when we ordered.

My wife and I went there tonight for dinner. They had an astounding number of items in their meal menu, dessert menu, plus specials menu. The food we had was excellent (and lots of it). My wife had a wrap and very good French fries. I had the cheese ravioli as part of a very good bargain "seniors meal" (which included a great cream of turkey soup, salad, entrée, plus very good chocolate ice cream). The service was also excellent from our personable waitress. Overall, a very pleasant experience (including leftovers we took with us). read more

Went there a year or so ago and it was bad - tried it again and it didnt get any better - ordered the pork and sour kraut special for $11.99 and got a can of sour kraut and had to hunt for a few small pieces of dried out pork. I dont know where these 5 star reviews are coming from. My father had a "fishy" fried haddock sandwich. there was a time I'd of rated this place a 5 but it has steadily gone down hill. Tonight's visit was the end of the line, I should have gone to McDonalds across the street. My salad was not good and the once awesome Veal Parm was terrible. Use to get a nice thick piece of veal and tonight was nothing more then a pile of breading over some processed stuff that didn't even look or taste like veal. I live here in Hellertown and do not see myself returning ever again. Very sad to see a place that was once a great place, that I bought gift certificates for as gifts, get to this point! read more
