    Cooked soup dumplings
    Luc Y.

Great place for soup dumplings! Stoped in Columbus about a month while on a road trip and figured I'd grab soup dumplings from the top rated place in the city according to the Internet. I was not disappointed! The lady was very nice and packed the soup dumplings frozen in ice for the 2 hour drive back to Cleveland for me per my request. Great service and understanding there. They were extremely easy to cook, 3 min in the instant pot and low heat and they tasted so good! The skin was moist and soft, not sticky at all and the meat filling was juicy and flavorful.

Everything here could be improved. Imo. First the restaurant is freezing like they didn't bother to adjust the heat to the outside weather. It was noticeably cold... instantly. The over all ambiance is not really that great. Why? Torn awning outside. The mop/bucket is out in front of the bar. A broom/standing dust pan is in front of the hostess stand. Hostess stand un manned, despite the broom combo. There are large boxes and boxes piled up along the entire back wall, stacked haphazardly in the formal dining room, giving off a super messy vibe as its in clear view. The place smells clean so thats a pro. Yelps health score rating showed a 100% from the last dept of health rating so I didn't cancel the order but I was still unsettled. You wonder what I ordered: I ordered was a shrimp/chive bun and a soup. Was expecting it 5.75 total as that is what the menu says. Found it to be over 8 dollars. Thats a big difference. When I brought that to their attention they said oh the prices are wrong on the menu. Pretty sure thats illegal to do that with pricing. That irritated me, but I just smiled and vowed never ever to return. Then when I looked at the food when I got home... the chive bun was a few tiny potstickers. Not what I was expecting. I was expecting a bun dumpling or bao shaped item. As I said I didnt eat any of it. Im seriously tossing the food. I got a bad vibe I cant get over the messy box situation. Makes me wonder what the kitchen looks like. Plus The fact that its 10-20 outside and their heat isnt turned up inside just doesnt sit well with me. Hard pass for me.

    Dim sum menu -
    Linda L.

We stopped by Saturday morning excited for some Dim Sum. Since their Dim Sum menu was smaller, was thinking they just were their specialties. Unfortunately I seemed like all the dim sum was frozen and reheated. Was super bummed not to get more authentic goods.

Sign the says "closed until further notice"

This is a wonderful restaurant with all sorts of great authentic Chinese food (dumplings are their specialty, my favorite is a spicy Szechuan cauliflower dish), but, alas, a sign in the door says "closed until further notice." I have no idea whether it will reopen, but I hope it does. Soon.

    "Soup" dumplings

Ordered soup dumplings. There was literally no soup. Not a drop. They also did not serve it with any dumpling sauce or black vinegar. Guy looked at me like I was crazy when I asked. Would not order this again here.

I think this was the Hunan beef but I'm not 100% sure. It was delicious!

Hidden gem!! The location isn't great, but the food makes the trip worth it! We started with the hot and sour soup and it's the best I've ever had! I got the cilantro pork and it was very tasty. My only critique was a couple bites of pork were fatty, but that can happen anywhere. Mom had the shrimp with broccoli and loved it. We will definitely be back!!

Ordered takeout from here the other night. I thought the food was tasty and exactly what we were looking for. A little pricey but I would order from here again. Good size portions and tasty!

First they didn't honor the yelp coupon for 6 free dragon rolls. The fish chilli was perfect. That by itself is worth 4 . However, I took a star because they didn't honor the yelp coupon. The house pad Thai was dry so I poured some of the chilli both on it and it booted it up a notched . The chicken Lo mein was moist and had good flavor. The egg roll didn't have any flavor but it was crispy. I had alot better. The fish chilli was the highlight. I would order it again it was that good. It out shined everything we ordered. The fish was boiled and the sauce was perfect. I sopped it up with bread because I didn't want to waste any of it. Would I take a friend from out of town? Yes just to get the fish.

I wasn't as surprised this time by the location in a neighborhood, something that gives it a very welcome feel and suggests with the addition of a covered outdoor porch with picnic tables that this is a good neighborhood hang. I was late for lunch, almost two but there were some folks still finishing up. Good vibe, good music and casual atmosphere. I opted for the Takoyaki app which was tasty and not so burning hot that it scorched the roof of your mouth. Also the right amount of mayonnaise as opposed to often an excess. The Ramen Flight was fun in principle but I wouldn't do it again. I unwisely and perhaps naively assumed there would be mini versions of the full serving of Tonkotsu broth with Mayo, Thai curry and Szechuan with scallions. But it really is just the broth and ramen. Expected the Szechuan to have some heat and peppery lip buzz but did not. The Thai curry was super salty. Just missed some option of veggies and protein. Finally I would suggest not sitting near the front near the stairs to the kitchen. The spot has competing music soundtracks with two different play lists battling between your two ears.

All very impressive. Not too busy on Friday at 11:30 am but it got busier. Service for drinks was very attentive but almost everyone i saw just got water. I asked about Japanese drinks and the waiter said we go to the front and grab those out of a fridge. On to the food. I started with the sushi of which there was a very large selection of both sashimi and sushi rolls, including several different toppings. I was bitterly disappointed that the taste of the sushi was not good. In fact, I could not even eat it except for the fried items which were good, although not really hot. I'm a little embarrassed to say that I did stuff a couple pieces of sushi in a napkin so that it didn't look so wasteful but really I could not eat it. Unfortunately this was my daughter's first time trying sushi so still not sure if she likes it. Onto the other hot dishes, the Asian food such as general Tso chicken, chicken with mushrooms, and beef with peppers was all very good. However, the fried rice just had some color and onion in it, no egg, no carrots, no peas. And the noodles were very basic but edible. The spring roll was very mushy again could not finish that. At this point, I was kind of over trying to find things that I liked and decided to end with some ice cream. There were just little cups of ice cream three different flavors and this was honestly the best part of my meal. My daughter tried three little cakes and she said they were excellent. I'm not sure about the salads and the fried American foods they had but overall I would just say the quality wasn't something I would go back for. There were people that had been there before, seemed like regulars and even had reward card to punch so maybe certain palletes enjoy it. I do think that the Asian protein dishes were the best part for me but not worth a return trip.

Now, I don't mean to be a pain in the butt when I order from restaurants. I ordered the papaya salad, with a note to please make it vegan, even though there was no indication on the menu that this was possible. This can go several different ways. Sometimes, the restaurant calls to tell me it can't be done. Sometimes they just leave the item out of the order. Sometimes they follow my notes even though it leaves the dish rather incomplete, such as completely leaving the dressing off a salad because it contained something nonvegan. I never hold this against them, I'm honestly satisfied with any of these results as long as they don't send me something nonvegan. But Nandan is the rare gem that went above and beyond, they made a vegan salad for me completely from scratch because their normal dressing wasn't. And it was DELICIOUS. Sweet, spicy, citrusy, savory. The taste and texture were both fresh and crisp. I fell in love right there. I wish I could tip a restaurant over Uber Eats! I am very thankful to Chef Brandon, who included a cute note in my order to let me know this sauce was made especially for me, it made my whole day. My mapo tofu bowl was not what I expected, but not in a bad way. When I think of mapo tofu, I usually imagine a very soupy, spicy dish made with silken tofu. This was a dish made with firm tofu and fresh mushrooms tossed in an umami sauce in which the bean paste/sauce was the star ingredient. It was served on a bed of perfectly cooked rice and garnished with something bright and green that I couldn't identify but added a nice fresh aspect to the dish. Overall it was well balanced and very satisfying. I filled up before finishing and I am already looking forward to the leftovers. The tea is not very sweet when leaving out the dairy component but that is fine by me, I added a little nondairy creamer and it was perfect. Their menu is limited but honestly, if everything on it is as good as what I ate tonight, it doesn't need to be any bigger. I'm going to seek them out on social media and see if their panang curry might also be "veganizable", but I'd order from them again either way. And the small menu makes it that much more special for me that they took the time to be inclusive and accomodating to those with dietary restrictions.

The restaurant felt warm, relaxed, and authentic, with Nepalese décor, prayer flags, cultural artwork, and Himalayan touches throughout the dining room. It felt personal and welcoming rather than overly polished or corporate. We started with the Everest Platter, which was a great introduction to the menu, featuring items like samosa, pakora, and spring rolls, along with flavorful dipping sauces. The chicken momo dumplings were excellent and are definitely something people should try if they have never experienced authentic Tibetan or Nepalese-style cuisine before. The garlic naan was fresh, soft, blistered from the clay oven, and loaded with flavor. One of the highlights of the meal was the Lamb Bhutuwa, a Nepalese-style lamb dish stir-fried with onion, garlic, ginger, and spices. The flavors throughout the meal were neat, balanced, and blended together really well. Nothing tasted overly heavy or greasy, and each dish still allowed the individual ingredients and spices to come through clearly. Our server, Anjali, was very kind, welcoming, and helpful with the menu and recommendations, which made the experience even better.
