    More wings and fries
    Alyssa S.

Great wings right here in Silver Spring! When it's lunch time and I'm in the area, this is my spot. I call ahead and have my order ready. I've only tried the wing and fries combo with the mambo sauce. It's too good to try anything else. I order the 10 peice and eat it all myself because I'm greedy like that. I do love that they give you wet wipes for your hands (because they know the situation). If you're looking for great wings out here, look no further than thiss gas station parking lot food truck!

These hours aren't correct. Idk how to fix it

I stumbled upon this food truck on a random night. We were hungry, pumping gas and it smelled HEAVENLY lol. Im not big on spicy food, my nose and tastebuds don't allow me to haha, But I HAD to try this food. I got the Mild wings and my friend got their chicken Sandwhich. We were both AMAZED, it was sooo good and juicy. Today, I drove all the way from DC from the protest , I brought my friend here raving about this food truck. We drove 30 min up 16th only to find out it was closed. Online said it was open (google, Yelp... etc.) I called the number and found out they are closed on Wednesdays .... I never give reviews until I've tried a place multiple times, but they get 4 stars for incorrect information online , and 4 stars based on my one and only food experience.

This was my first time every seeing this truck. I was going to get Chinese food but I saw palm sugar curry on the sign. The young man at the truck was very attractive and gave me a sample of the rub! It was about a ten minute wait give or take but it was worth it. The sweet potato fries are delicious as well!

    These wings were awesome.

This place was pretty good! I prefer my wings fried a bit harder but the flavors were AMAZING! And they sell the seasoning they use on the wings. I picked some up and regret nothing!

Worst. Wings. Ever. I own a restaurant and know the cost of wings. The fact that they have the audacity to sell these for over a dollar a piece is a joke. Not only were they less than a bite, they were stale and old. Definitely will never order again.

There was way too much pink going on in these wings.

Heard good things about the wings. So I ordered from them. The wings I received were very undercooked and I could easily tell that they were not safe to eat. I was so excited for the wings, then I left highly disappointed. I will not be ordering wings from this establishment again.

The décor leans more classic and strait-laced, but in a warm, comfortable. Service is typically solid, and when they have a live jazz band performing? That's an added bonus that elevates the whole experience. And with their frequent diner program, you can rack up points on your visits and redeem them later for dollars off your bill, which makes an already good meal feel even better. My Go-To's: Spinach & Artichoke Dip One of the best around. It's always cooked just right, never underdone, never burnt. Great flavor and perfectly creamy. And yes, I'm the one mixing it up with salsa and sour cream for an extra flavor kick. Fiesta Eggrolls A flavorful favorite. Rotisserie Chicken Salad Think Tex-Mex salad loaded with all the good stuff. I love, mixing the BBQ sauce with the chipotle blue cheese dressing, it's the perfect sweet-smoky combo. It used to come with cornbread croutons (which were such a nice sweet touch), so now I just order a slice of their delicious cornbread on the side. Chicken Pot Pie Comfort food done right. Rattlesnake Pasta It almost gives Rasta Pasta vibes, but without the heat. Creamy, flavorful, and filling. Barbecue Ribs Tender, saucy, and satisfying. Key Lime Pie One of the best. And the fact that they sell it whole? Dangerous! Pineapple Upside Down Cake My new favorite. Nice and moist and comes à la mode. Don't just take my word for it. Check out "Copper Canyon Grill" and experience it for yourself! Mmmm... Bon Appetit! Cheers! Enjoy!

The food quality is great because it's comforting, locally and sustainably sourced. And you never feel rushed because this restaurant values their customers. Dining here I admired how my needs were anticipated and everyone here was a regular, not just a number. That will always be a win in my book and will have me coming back for more. I loved eating in the open bay. But they also have a patio & are family & dog friendly. I order most of the brunch specials: -espresso martini affogato (was so so, a bit too strong but I'm usually a Bellini girl) -challah Nutella stuffed French toast (sooo good! I usually love waffles but these were cooked perfectly aka not soggy & very flavorful) I would get this again -Chesapeake Benedict (Loved it, all meat, no filler in the crabs) -Salmon omelette -Shrimp & grits

My Mom and one of her friends ordered the challah BLT and liked it. Her other friend and I ordered the 2-egg breakfast. So, I asked for it to be hot so they brought another meal and the eggs were cooked just right but had a fishy taste to them... One staff member with a beard kept coming around to table to clear the sugar and straw papers which was a constant interruption to our conversation... Like can't he find other ways to help out??? All of the tables weren't filled yet it took FOREVER to get our check from Lili our waitress... It seems like the community frequents this place as the ambiance was loud but some tables were empty.

My African American military family arrived at 11:00 a.m. sharp on Father's Day. I mention "military family" because I want to paint an accurate picture: we weren't a loud or unruly group. We were five adults, five well-behaved children, and two infants looking to enjoy brunch together. The restaurant was completely empty. Not "a few open tables" empty--completely empty. No one was even sitting at the bar. When we told the hostess we didn't have a reservation, she went to get a manager. What struck me immediately was how flustered he became the moment he saw our group. He came out red-faced, visibly agitated, and immediately launched into how they were completely booked and there was "no way" he could seat a party of 12. We even asked if we could split into two groups of six and were met with the same response: impossible. We stood there looking at an entirely empty restaurant while being told there was absolutely no way we could be accommodated. The whole interaction was honestly bizarre. Confused, we simply said "okay" and started walking away. As we were already down the sidewalk, a hostess came after us and explained that we could sit on the patio, which was first-come, first-served. We could order through a QR code and have food brought to us. That was completely fine with us. In fact, with children and infants, the patio was arguably a better option anyway. The truth is, by that point we stayed more out of convenience than anything else. Getting five children and two infants back into three separate vehicles and finding another restaurant felt like more of a hassle than it was worth. Looking back, I wish we had simply left. Which raises the obvious question: if the patio was available all along, why wasn't that the manager's response from the beginning? Why did he act as though seating us was impossible instead of simply saying, "Our indoor dining is reserved, but you're welcome to sit outside"? I do not make accusations of racism lightly. However, after reflecting on the experience, I cannot escape the conclusion that race played a role in how my family was treated. The manager's reaction upon seeing our group, his immediate insistence that there was "no way" to seat us despite an empty restaurant, and the fact that available seating existed all along created an experience that felt unmistakably exclusionary. The interaction nagged at me throughout the meal, especially when my children and nieces and nephews started asking, "Why didn't the restaurant want us to eat here? The place is empty?" That's not a conversation I expected to have with children on Father's Day. When we left about 90 minutes later, both the dining room and patio were still far from full. I counted 8 open tables inside and 5 open tables on the patio at 12:30. I understand reservations. I've dined all over the world. But Moreland's is not a Michelin-starred restaurant with a months-long waitlist. It's a neighborhood pub--closer to an upscale Applebee's than fine dining. Yet somehow my family was made to feel unwelcome from the moment we walked through the door. After years of being a customer, that is deeply disappointing.
