Arrived early, got the job done in half the time expected, were a courteous group and handled all of my stuff with care. Would definitely recommend and would hire again no problem (note: you need to have your own truck with these guys but it works out to be cheaper than other companies anyway). read more

These guys are great. I've moved 6 times within the last 4 years and every time its such a pain. I heard about these guys from a friend and they were great. They were professional, fast and very efficient. Would highly recommend them. read more

I had to stop and take a moment to share just how great the team at Headfirst Movers truly are. Hector and his team are organized, hard working, efficient. And as if that was not enough from a moving team, they are also courteous, and respectful, of you and your belongings. These guys are pros at wrapping and packing any type of Pod. They packed me up from my old house, and 3 months later moved me in to my new home. Nothing shifted, so nothing was broken. With everything else that can go wrong during a move. Do yourself a favor, and hire this team, and allow them to do everything just right. : ) read more

I wish that I could give these guys 100 stars. Hector and David are absolutely amazing!! The name Hercules comes to mind. We had a very, very full 1 bedroom apartment and 2 relatively small pod containers. Hector's Tetris skills and David's unbelievable strength got everything into the pods with room to spare. Not only that, but they got it all done super super SUPER FRICKEN FAST. Hiring Headfirst Movers was easily the best decision we made in our move. These guys are absolutely incredible. They gave us a call in the morning to let us know that they're coming, they arrive on time and then get to work right away. No laziness here! The price is very reasonable and they honestly deserve every cent - we actually felt they deserved even more than they asked for so we even gave them a tip. I will be recommending them to all my friends and colleagues. read more

Legit. I've moved every year since relocating to San Diego and finally bought a house. Having hired numerous movers in the past (starving students, first choice (DO NOT WASTE your money on those lazy overpriced fools)) We found the fellas at Head First and are stoked at with the service we received. These dudes even drove the Uhaul for us some could shove a load of stuff in my truck. I was so happy with their skills, I gave them a stereo, and even tried to give them girlfriends chihuahua, but she caught me. Definitely call Hector for all your moving needs! read more

I called Headfirst Movers based on their Yelp reviews because we needed someone to move some heavy appliances for us during a remodel and we needed them fast! Hector was very accommodating and made time for us the next day! Hector & David showed up on time, fully equipped. They worked with us to get our giant Wolf range and Subzero fridge moved back into position carefully on our brand new kitchen floors - without making a scratch! We paid a 2 hour minimum, but the rate was reasonable and it was well worth the cost. We will definitely be contacting Headfirst Movers again. They deserve 5 stars. Thanks, Hector! read more

Awesome! I moved this summer and Luis and Robert were amazing! They were very fast and professional. Everything was done in less than 2 hours. I didn't have a lot, but still, I have worked with other companies that exploited the hourly minimum. So this was very refreshing. Hector called me to follow-up. That was a nice touch. read more

Hector and his crew helped us load all of the furniture and boxes from our 2-story, 4-bedroom house into a large storage pod. We were so impressed with their service, we will definitely call them back when we are ready to unload! Hector was very responsive from our first contact, always promptly replied and even accommodated a date change due to rain in the forecast. The crew arrived right on time and was friendly, fast, professional, and very meticulous in wrapping and padding our furniture. They even helped us move a large refrigerator from the kitchen to the garage. We did our part by having our boxes completely packed and furniture disassembled, but Hector and his crew did an amazing job of packing us out in about 4 hours including the refrigerator move. We are in our 60s and really needed help with packing out...so glad we found Headfirst Movers...highly recommend! read more

They are simply the best!!!! No need at all to spend big bucks with a moving company. No hassle. No hidden charges. No surprises. Héctor and David came to help with my move. I'm moving in 2 stages, in my first stage I moved a stuffed garage (floor to ceiling no space to walk) and did the move in no time. I even got to move a refrigerator and an elliptical to a different location which I thought I was not going to have time for in the 3 hours minimum. They are amazing, worth every penny. Very professional and courteous. I will be calling them back for stage 2.... read more

My family and I are moving to Oregon and I hired Headfirst movers to help me pack my 24' moving truck. I scheduled the move with Hector and he was very accommodating and quick to respond via email and text. Today is moving day and David and Albert have been hustling all day. I've hired my fair share of movers, and these guys have been the best so far. Showed up on time, very courteous and best of all, quick and efficient. I will definitely recommend them to anyone who needs help moving. read more

Robert and Sergio were very thorough, careful and friendly. We used up every minute of the three hours effectively.

When I moved from SD to the Central coast a while back, I rented a Uhaul and hired these guys to load everything up. Hector and Felix showed up on time, with all the equipment they needed, and busted their butts to get everything done. In addition to being very hard-working and efficient, they were really friendly, and respectful/careful with my belongings. I couldn't be happier with the job they did. A+ read more

Hector and Junior helped us move over the weekend and they are the best! You provide the truck and they do the rest. They carefully wrapped up our furniture and moved everything efficiently and safely. They're just really good guys that do a really good job - will definitely hire them again!!! FYI - cash only, you can text Hector any time about the details of your move - he is easy to get a hold of and he gets back to you quickly - really helps alleviate the stress of moving when you can finalize the details of your move right away and not have to worry :) read more

I search for POD movers on Yelp and came across Headfirst Movers and I'm glad I did. I spoke to Hector the business owner about having some guys help me load boxes and furniture to a POD from a storage unit in San Diego. This was pretty short notice and needed a 8 am start time on a Sunday. Thankfully Hector and David were available! The day of the move I was running late and Hector and David waited patiently for me. I was over 30 minutes late but Hector told me it was no problem. The POD was stationed about 50 yards from the storage unit but these guys hustled, wrapped items in plastic and had dollies and tie downs. No messing around here. They came to WORK. The POD was filled up and tied down in exactly 3 hours! I had a lot of things and was worried that all my items we not going to fit. Hector and David made it happen! Hard workers and great guys, 5 stars all the way! read more

These guys are everything you want in a moving company. Friendly, courteous, efficient! They showed up on time, were respectful and careful while moving my belongings, and finished moving everything ahead of schedule. They also disassembled and re-assembled my bed frame in record time (took me hours to put together!) Headfirst movers will definitely be my first call the next time I need to move. read more

Had a wonderful experience using Headfirst Movers. All of their services provided were exactly as described. They were extremely helpful and prevented my move from being an ordeal. I would definitely refer anyone who is moving to Headfirst. They are awesome! read more

Hector and Headirst Movers are good beyond description. My husband and I move frequently, so have experienced the good moves, the nightmare "destroyed everything we had" movers, the fly by nights, the local guys, the big van lines, from California to Georgia (and even to South America.) Heaadfirst is, hands down, the finest moving company we've ever encountered anywhere. They are not only efficient, and incredibly good at what they do, but also the cheapest! I don't know how they do it, but they do. Never a run-around. We first used them when we moved from our home in San Diego and put all our things in PODS. They were awesomely quick, friendly, thorough and experienced -- good folks to spend a day with -- and when we had to empty a shed later into smaller storage, I called them again. I went out that time, and another to retrieve items from the PODS, and Headfirst was always who we called for help. They were always friendly, relaxed and very affordable. (Plus punctual, able and sober, something I can't say for every mover I've ever hired!) Recently, I hired Hector to oversee the move of our items in storage to our PODS for shipping to Missouri. I wasn't going to be there to oversee things -- and in fact, would be traveling. I asked Hector if he would oversee things in our place, keep an eye on our belongings and ensure all went well. I gave him permission to make all decisions in my stead. He was there with a truck and a locksmith on time -- but there was a hitch at the first storage place -- a piece of paper that hadn't been sent to me for signature, so Headfirst couldn't complete the job that day. They were patient, tried hard to contact me (difficult) -- and even the woman in the office at the storage facility praised them. Hector even paid for the truck and locksmith's time on the spot. Hector stuck with me all week, I worked out the difficulty and we made arrangements for them to try the same thing the next Saturday. THAT Saturday went flawlessly! When I called the storage facility, Grace said cheerfully that they were there on time, had the locksmith with them and were already making good progress on moving our things. At the PODS facility, we'd been wondering whether we'd have to rent a larger PODS to fit the new additions into. I told the folks at PODS to allow him to order one if he needed one. The person there saw how full our units already were and said, "Well, I'd better go arrange for a larger unit." Hector said, "Well, let's see what we can do." And, sure enough like "moving ninja's," they magically fit all the extra stuff into the existing PODS (saving me $440) and he even sent me a picture of the finished job! It was a work of art. Packed so neatly and beautifully, right to the edge. We will get our things in a week -- but I'm brave enough to post this review before we even see it because I know, for certain, everything will arrive in great shape. Hector proved a great "project manager" and I was SO GRATEFUL to have someone like him to trust with this move. Thank you, Hector -- you and your guys are AWESOME. Call me if you ever need a recommendation. I've never met a moving company I could trust and admire to thoroughly. You are one of a kind. read more

We used Headfirst Movers to load all our stuff from a 2 story 2400 sqft house into a 26' Penske truck for our move to Texas. Communication with Hector was easy and reliable. Even though Hector couldn't be there to do the move himself, he sent his best guys and they got the job done! The load required careful planning and expert spatial reasoning, but they were fast and effective. When we got to Texas NOTHING WAS BROKEN! They were professional, on time, and working for 4 1/2 hours nonstop. These are the people you want moving your stuff! read more

Headfirst Movers deserve kudos! They were on the ball, were in contact with me before the move, on time for the move and did a great job. Also very well priced. I've had some good and bad experiences with movers, but these guys ranked high on my list. Will definitely use them again. read more

Another 5 star review for Hector and his crew! This was the 4th time we moved in 5 years and Hector's team took great care of us and all of our stuff once again. They arrive on time, bust their butts, and pack everything so securely that we have no worries for the drive to our new home! 100% positive we would hire This team on our next move if we weren't moving out of state! Thank you Hector for giving us peace of mind on each and every move over the last 5 years!! read more

Zack and Felix helped us with our move in early April. We were renting a truck and just needed help with loading. They were extremely efficient and packed everything really well to make sure nothing would break. I was really impressed with how hard they worked. All of our furniture made it in one piece. They were 1000x better than the movers we had to unload which I will review separately. I would highly recommend them to anyone. read more

We hired Hector to move our furniture into our garage yesterday. They were competitively priced, prompt, conscientious and did a great job. We certainly recommend them and will use them again in a couple weeks to finalize our move. read more

This company does not provide a truck for your belongs, but rather the muscle to help you do the move. There was a 3 hour minimum for the 2 man crew I used and they had the studio apt done in a little under 2 hours door to door. They were good guys that were very careful with my furniture. I will definitely call head first movers on my next move. read more

I hired headfirst movers to help me move from my 3rd floor 2 bedroom apartment to my new 1st floor 2 bedroom apartment. It was really short notice since my friends bailed out on me last minute. Found Hector on craigslist and rates were extremly fair and had availability that same day. Hector and Bruce showed up to my apartment with moving equipment ready to work. Did not complain about the stairs they had to deal with and had me fully moved in my new place in just a little bit under 3 hours. Super fast transition. It would at least took my friends and I all day. That's what i was expecting, Not with these guys! I wish i could give them 10 stars! read more

If you're moving in/around San Diego, Hector and HeadFirst Movers should definitely be your choice of movers! Hector and Zack helped unload all my stuff from a 14' U-Haul *very* efficiently and quickly. They were also accommodating about the fact that I needed to start a little bit later than I had originally scheduled due to horrendous traffic. Great rates with a two-hour minimum, and I'd definitely hire them again if I moved in the area. read more

If i had to choose one word to describe these guys, it would be "awesome". They arrived as scheduled and had great attitudes once I told them what the job was. The rate was superb and they did the job very efficiently with no damage done to any furniture. They put one of the backs to my segmented couch on the wrong couch, but its an easy fix. No harm done. I would use this company again without thinking about it. If you need some movers, use these guys. read more

I needed help swapping out desks in my classroom from a storage container on site. The lifting and moving of all the tables was too much for me, but for Hector and David it was a piece of cake! Not only did they switch out the tables, but they made sure all the tables were the same height and arranged them around the classroom for me. They were prompt, professional, friendly and very reasonably priced. I would definitely use them again and refer them to friends and family. Great service!! read more

My husband and I couldn't be more pleased with the job Hector & Julio did for us. They unloaded a fully-packed 26' truck on a very hot day and both stayed upbeat and energetic. We used Hector and his crew for a San Diego move. They came recommended by a coworker and I've recommended them since. Their moving service is a great value in between hiring a moving company with a truck and try to do a move on your own. Essentially you provide the truck and they do everything else. They don't provide insurance like moving companies, but it wasn't needed. They arrived on time and worked efficiently. read more

HIGHLY RECOMMENDED! If you have moving needs, in particular POD or Big Box type circumstances Headfirst is a great solution. From the initial contact Hector was very responsive. He and David were on time and worked non-stop getting the job done quickly even offering to put together furniture we dismantled to store. Their prices are reasonable with no hidden costs or fees. Hector was remarkably responsive and professional when it came to quoting and then scheduling our moving needs. We utilized their services to unload our two Big Box storage boxes to our 3rd floor apartment. David, Albert and Moses were wonderful! They were courteous and professional through the whole experience. They were proficient and conscientious and not a thing got broken or scratched. They even helped put some of my furniture together for me - GREATLY appreciated by this solo mom of two while trying to get the new place together just a week before my husband came home from deployment! He was also decent in price because when we got the rental truck they also offer movers and I looked at their prices and it was ridiculous but Hector's price was awesome, no hidden charges..
