Hector and David were amazing!! Hector was so easy to communicate with and really put me at ease. I have never moved out of state or used a POD. Hector was so reassuring and responded quickly and kindly to my many questions. David was able to fit all of my stuff into the POD and Hector carefully wrapped all of my furniture and belongings to keep them safe. I highly recommend them! They offer outstanding service at a reasonable price. I highly recommend them! read more

Hector and his team were incredible! They were timely, efficient and extremely organized. Everyone was so nice and amenable. They packed our POD like the perfect Tetris game. I would recommend HeadFirst every time!!! Thank you for taking away the stress of moving read more

Ask for Hector! He was straight to the point and gave me a quote fast. This was very last minute and he did whatever could to support.

This review is long overdue, but these guys are the best!! Two years ago I was moving from one unit to another in the same complex & was looking for a moving company that didn't have such a high minimum hours requirement. Found Headfirst Movers & they were so flexible and understanding. They went above & beyond and I'll be requesting their help again very soon. read more

Hector and team were fantastic. I had a last moment need to unpack a couple of Upack ReloCube containers. We threw a couple of additional curveballs with an unknown time the containers were going to be dropped off and we were driving from out of state the same day. The team was able to arrive later in the day and have everything unloaded in under the time quoted. After 3 days of driving it was a huge relief to have zero worries about getting everything inside and have a bed to sleep on a couple of hours later. read more

I contacted Headfirst Movers to help move a kitchen island that was delivered to our garage and needed to be moved into the kitchen. They arrived on time. The island was heavy, about 500 pounds, but the team was careful and well-prepared. Before starting the move, they planned their route and made sure the path was properly protected. They covered the flooring and discussed the best equipment and strategy to ensure the island could be moved safely and securely. Once the island was in the kitchen, they took the time to make sure it was positioned exactly where I wanted it. They patiently waited while I checked that my refrigerator, over, and dishwasher all had enough clearance to open properly. They then made the necessary adjustments, even moving the island by an inch or two, to ensure I was completely satisfied with its placement. I recommend Headfirst Movers. Hector, Albert, and Robert did an excellent job. read more

Hector was extremely communicative and on top of everything logistically, offering times that worked well with my schedule. The 2-man team of Robert and Robbie went above and beyond, helping move some tricky and heavy deck furniture and large umbrellas, and putting everything back together exactly as it was. Everyone was very respectful and easy to work with, with a very positive attitude that was fun to be around. Thanks for all the help! read more

They were on time which was great, we asked for a team of 3 movers two of them did the moving and wrapping, the 3rd guy staked our stuff in the trailer. The issues are first all our boxes were received smashed down because they staked them without any support in between that is something an experienced mover will do but not them, all our glassware which was wrapped were smashed, the second issue is that they disassembled furniture and didn't tape the screws to the item they disassembled instead they just left it hanging, I wasn't present when they disassembled some stuff and all those pieces were missing screws the only ones that were complete are the ones that I personally tapped the screws to the item, so now we are not able to assemble some of our furniture and I have to get matching screws for them, third issue is the least important and that they didn't wrap the bottom of the mattresses so our mattresses are black dirty from the bottom which we will clean. I wouldn't hire them even if they did their service for free because the amount of damage is going to cost you read more

I highly recommend Headfirst Movers. I dreaded moving, but Hector and his team made it effortless. Hector was responsive and professional. He was patient as I asked all my questions. And he quoted a fair price. Hector and his team made the move a breeze, and I'm so thankful for the awesome job they did! Thank you, Hector! read more

Hector and his team are AMAZING! Hector is always reachable and very communicative, ensuring that all details of your move is covered. We have personally used their services through the years and have recommended them to family and friends. If you're looking for professional movers that go above and beyond, look no further - contact HeadFirst Movers. They're awesome! read more

Hector not only was very responsive and had an excellent price and checked in and answered all my questions. He verified the move days before. The 3 man crew he sent was amazing! Moved a 2 story townhome in to 4 UPack pods in 3 hours. They jigsaw puzzled the pods and packed them right and used bungee chord rope to secure everything. Stacked everything so other things wouldn't be crushed. The had a system: one person bringing things down, another out to the pods and one loading. It was a joy to watch. Most of my belongings were wrapped except bed frame and a couple of coaches which they then wrapped . They did this with precision. The adjustable bed was very heavy and needed a third guy. They did it and it was a work of art. The were also so very friendly and I learned a lot about wrapping, packing and who to hire as movers on the other side. Thanks so much for the quality of work and value!! Best movers ever and good movers are hard to find. read more

Great company. We contacted Hector about moving furniture from the second floor to the lower floor and from the beginning he gave us a fair price and we were able to set up an appointment quickly. He kept in contact with us and confirmed with us the day before the move. Robbie and Rob showed up on time and were very professional. Our furniture was very heavy and challenging to move down a narrow staircase with a sharp corner. These guys took amazing care of our furniture and figured out the best way to get the job done. We were very impressed with their skills. I highly recommend this company without hesitation. read more

Headfirst Movers - Disassembled and packed furniture - Movers Near Me

Not much else to say other than Headfirst movers are best!!! I've hired many movers in the past and headfirst is top notch. I contacted a bunch of moving companies for my current move and decided to go with headfirst because Hector was very professional and was able to schedule me the day and time I requested. Robert and Darwin showed up on time and immediately went to work. I did have some concerns with bigger items fitting through the front door but Robert and Darwin knew exactly what they were doing. They were quick, efficient, professional, and outgoing. We joked with each other throughout the move and made the experience that much more enjoyable. I will not hesitate to hire them again if we ever decide to move again. Thank you Hector, Robert, and Darwin for your professionalism and hard work! read more

I was referred to Hector by a different company since I didn't require a truck, and am so glad to have gotten into contact with Hector and his team. I emailed Hector and he responded right away with his availability. I had the pleasure to work with Robert and Felix. Although I was moving in the same complex, these guys worked so hard because there was a little bit of a walk and they moved everything (big furniture such as bed, couch, tvs, etc) with efficiency and care. AND super quick. Also disassembled and reassembled some items for me too, saving me a bunch of time. I have a lot of stuff for a 1 bed 1 bath and they were able to get it done within the timeframe I needed. Robert and Felix were top notch. I would recommend using them for sure. Kind, friendly, professional, and more! Thanks to your whole team for helping me with this move! I really needed the help and am so appreciative of your time. read more

Let's start with 10 stars if yelp gave that option! I've known Hector for over 10 years and have referred him hundreds of customers. Hector and his team were amazing. Those guys emptied out my house so fast it was unbelievable. No standing around. They were all business and courteous. Extremely respectful. I would recommend them to anyone wanting excellent service at a very reasonable price. Still awesome! This is my second time using Hector and his team. I moved to a bigger office about 1 mile away so I just need a couple of guys to help me move all my office furniture and monitors. What I like about this service is that Hector is available anytime to answer any questions prior to moving day. I texted him about 5 times and he responds fast! I rented a uhaul for the day and Hector sent me Robert & Christian ready to go with equipment and furniture blankets. They even brought tools-power drill to disassemble my bigger desks for easy moving. These guys are good! I'm happy to see Headfirst Movers still going strong and I've already recommended my old building to these guys! read more

Headfirst Movers and their team are excellent! They are professional, very efficient and have fair pricing. We were extremely happy with them! Felix and Albert helped us move our home into a garage across the street for storage (labor-only move) - they were great to work with, worked hard (and fast!) and were phenomenal at the Tetris-like task of storing our stuff. They did such a great job we booked them for a job the very next weekend. Hector was awesome in all of his communication and having straight-forward, reasonable pricing for a move is such a gift. Would absolutely recommend for all of your moving needs! read more

We were moving into a place on the second floor, AND the unit itself has an upstairs loft. We are not getting any younger and did not feel comfortable hauling our furniture and big boxes up those stairs, so we were recommended to Hector and his Headfirst Movers. Hector was so easy to schedule with. We were coming from LA with the moving truck and were worried that we'd hit traffic on our moving day. He said it was no problem and was flexible which helped ease the stress of moving. Sure enough, we hit almost an hours' worth of traffic and were late, but his movers, Robert, Darwin and Christian, got a head's up and arrived accordingly. They were able to load up the truck, drive to our new location, and unload with speed and efficiency. They had moving blankets, dollies, packing tape, and plastic wrap ready to go. All done within 2 hours and 10 minutes, from start to finish! They also helped arrange the furniture, throw away a broken TV stand (not their fault), and kept a friendly conversation going the entire time. 100%, I would call up Hector and his team again in the future. read more

Thank you Headfirst Movers!! I so happy I found these guys, Hector and the crew made moving look easy. The whole experience was great, they were on time, which for many of us is a HUGE deal. Zack and Felix - Great Job! I moved from one storage unit to another.(15x10) They did it all in 2 hours. Although my Daughter and I helped.. I definitely could not have done it without them. Headfirst was the first place I called, and as far as I'm concerned they will be the only place I will call in the future. Great Rates.. Great Guys! Thanks Hector for the follow up call! read more

This is the best experience my husband and I have had with a moving company, and we have moved about 8 times since we've been married! I am used to reserving people only to have them flake at the last minute, or show up HOURS late (which does not work when you are moving to a different state or city), or show up so hungover or wacked out on drugs that you are better off doing it yourself. This was the exact OPPOSITE of all of those horrible experiences! I originally contacted Hector to reserve help for loading our rental truck for our upcoming move to a different city in California. After that, due to circumstances beyond my control, I had to change the date and time of our appointment about 3 times. Hector was responsive and accommodating each time, and did not seem irritated at all (even though I was)! The day of our move, our 2 guys showed up on time, ready to go, and wrapped, prepped and moved all of our stuff out of our condo and into our truck (which included stairs and about a 1/4 mile walk to where the truck was parked). They packed that truck like a game of Tetris! Payment is made via Venmo or Paypay, which was super easy. Everything made it safely to our destination and was easy to unload. This is the best money you will ever spend (and they were very reasonable at that!). I wholeheartedly recommend Headfirst Movers! read more

My husband and I needed help moving the contents of two storage units into a POD for our cross country move. I reached out to Headfirst Movers the day before our POD was scheduled to arrive at the storage facility. Hector responded to my inquiry immediately and answered all of the questions I had. The day of our move, we needed to push back our start time and once again, Hector was more than accommodating. He scheduled his best team to help us and they arrived promptly that afternoon. They were able to empty a 10x10' and 5x10' storage unit and expertly move everything into one 16' POD in approximately 3.5 hours. They were professional, trustworthy, and careful with our belongings. We would recommend Headfirst Movers to anyone who needs help with their future move. read more

Hector and David arrived on time. They worked very hard without complaint or even a sign of fatigue. Everything was transferred from pod to apartment without a scratch. These guys seem to really know what they are doing. They even pointed out how my pod had been incorrectly packed by the previous mover. After they were done unpacking they helped us move all our furniture around, broke down boxes, and took everything to the recycle bin. read more

I had to put my stuff in a pod for 9 moths and i was nervous that everything wasnt going to fit. As soon as they got there Hector and his team assured me that they will definitely be able to fit everything. They're confidence and professionalism made me feel very relaxed. These guys are tetris masters. I was so happy they were able to fit my 2 bedroom apartment inside a single pod. They wrapped all my furniture in blankets and shrink wrap and were súper careful with all my property. Headfirst movers are the best moving company i have ever used. These guys are always happy and enthusiastic with great attitude the whole time. I will definitely hire these guys for all of my moves to come. read more

Oh my gosh! These guys were life savers! Before you think I'm a drama queen, lemme explain. Haha. I moved a very long way from Colorado to San Diego. We had a VERY long drive to Las Vegas. During which, I stayed in contact with Hector to let him know of our constantly changing ETA...be it due to frequent bathroom breaks or just traffic, with long trips, it happens. Hector was extremely responsive every step of the way and remained calm (not irritated) and tried his best to remain as flexible as possible with my moving timeline. Hector and his mover (big Icelandic? bodybuilder dude..don't remember his name..very strong) showed up on time and they were efficient and careful with our things. They did have to tell us that they don't typically assemble Ikea furniture or exercise equipment but they stayed to help my hubz assemble it together and made sure they helped with what they could. Hector's partner helped build the shelving back together so that we would have some place to put all of our things from the garage! Thanks, guys! OH!!! Did I mention that Hector offered the best deal around? Yes, yes he did. I always comparison shop. Trust me. read more

What can I say -- this was the BEST moving experience I believe I've ever had -- and I'm 47 years old and have moved many times over the years. My teenage son and I had just come off a year-long stint living in Portland, OR and I was excited to get back home to Southern California. Moving back, though, was kind of an epic feat and, quite frankly, had us exhausted after a long drive in a moving truck with our car towed behind us (and our kitty cat along for the ride!). Hector and David showed up for our move right on time (actually a few minutes early) and worked quickly and efficiently from beginning to end. They were very courteous and professional and took great care of our possessions, and the walls and door frames of our new place (as well as the Penske truck we had rented!). I couldn't have been more pleased with the service we received. I know it can be hard to trust movers because you're sort of at their mercy -- they can move slowly (and thus charge you more) or be careless with your stuff (and maybe you don't want to complain because the guys seem creepy and they know where you live?). I can say with confidence you won't run into these issues with Headfirst Movers. I highly recommend!!! read more

Honestly - this was the most relaxing and easy moving experience I've ever had! We very quickly had to clear out our house and put everything into portable storage and Hector's guys were AMAZING! We hired a 4 man team and they expertly wrapped all our furniture and loaded it perfectly into 2 Units in 3.5 hours - I was in shock! I was so nervous that our things wouldn't even fit and they managed to not only fit it all fast but they did so in an amazingly comfortable and professional way. The whole experience was an A+! I've already personally referred them 3 times in the past 2 days :) The guys we had were David, Felix, Julio and Christian - cannot recommend enough! Will definitely be using them again to move back in. read more

I hired HeadFirst movers to help me move furniture between apartment floors. It was a very last minute thing (like less than a week before the move). I was frantically looking for movers and I was referred to Hector at HeadFirst movers. Even though he was very booked on Sat, he told me that he could squeeze me in. On Sat, he even called to say that he could come a bit earlier (like 3 PM instead of 4). That was great. Hector and Bruce showed up with all the equipment needed for the move. They worked quickly and efficently. They even took the stairs between my floors (because one of the elevators was down and the other 2 elevators were slow), in order to save time and be quick with the move. I was really appreciative of that. Overall, they did a great job. They had a great attitude and helped make my move a lot easier. If I ever have to do a local move or inter-apartment move, I will definitely hire them again :) read more

I just wanted to send a huge THANK YOU to Hector and his team for helping me out in a real bind. My sister was moving down to San Diego from San Francisco and didn't have anyone to help her get her stuff into her new place. Enter headfirst movers. I called Hector on a Wednesday afternoon, he got back to me a couple hours later, and thankfully squeezed in my sister for a late Friday move-in. Not only did he go out of his way to get my sister moved in, but he also had great prices. I absolutely recommend these guys and if anyone else in my family needs help moving, I'll be directing them your way. Cheers. read more

Called Hector to unload our POD and happy to report the service was fantastic...again! Adding to this review simply to mention how pleased I was with how the guys assembled our furniture. I know...not a big deal. Movers typically reassemble your furniture. Here's the thing...some movers do shoddy work so you end up laying in a bed that feels like it's about to fall apart because they lost parts or were too lazy to get things right ...or you end up with an expensive dresser with a broken off leg. But I digress... Needless to say, none of my furniture is broken and I can rest easy knowing that my mattress won't flop to the ground in the middle of the night. Thanks again for the excellent work, Hector! You make moving so much easier. read more

We had a last minute move just last weekend (6-11-2011). I found Headfirst Movers through Craigslist and texted them on a friday night at 10:30 pm. Hector immediately responded and confirmed my reservation. On the day of the move, Hector and Bruce was in my house 5 minutes before our agreed time ready to move my stuff. He immediately gave me an estimate on how long will it take to move all my big item furnitures and boxes into a 24' truck that I rented. He said 4-5 hours but eveything that I wanted to get moved was done in exactly 3 hours! That is because they never took a break. I had to ask them numerous times to at least drink some water or juice which they did only once. I don't normally put reviews on yelp but I believe I should for these guys because they really did an outstanding job. Thank you Hector and Bruce. You made our move a whole lot easier. This review is for an inter-complex move we used headfirst movers for in early January. Overall: Hector and Felix were seriously amazing and I would hire them again in an instant! They are also the absolute cheapest for small moves. Price: I called at least 13 other movers to get quotes before deciding on headfirst movers and everywhere else had a 3 hour minimum while headfirst movers had a two hour minimum and one of the lowest rates. Since our move was inter-complex, we knew it would most likely take under 2 hours so it was an easy choice to go with headfirst movers. Scheduling: Hector was fantastic at being responsive, available at all times, and flexible. We originally wanted a time that was booked but Hector had a cancellation and was able to fit us in. He was available through texting or calling at literally any time I had a question and he made sure to confirm our scheduled move several days ahead of time and the day prior to the move. Moving Service: Hector and Felix were extremely fast (wayyyyyyy faster than we expected) and very careful with all of our stuff. We had originally planned on only moving some bigger items but they moved them so quickly that we ran out of things to move. We ended up frantically packing more stuff to move it up but Hector and Felix helped us out by taking everything they could that was lying around and waiting patiently once that was done. Everything they moved arrived to our new apartment in great condition and they used blankets to wrap up more fragile items. They also helped us disassemble and reassemble a desk we needed to move. I seriously couldn't have asked for better and would recommend them to any friend that needed movers. read more

Finally having a moment to write a review.. First of all I would give Hector & the Crew 200 stars!!!!!! I contacted Hector, because of the great reviews I saw on Yelp. Hector, contacted back within 1 minute, no joke. He was on it!!! I had several questions since I had never used movers before. I was given a flat rate for 2 hours with two awesome movers, and there WAS NOT any HIDDEN charges. Move date: I had everything ready outside the old apartment, and I was ready to roll!!! Zack & Felix arrived on time, I had donuts and orange juice for them. They were ON IT!!! They loaded & unloaded the 17' truck with lightening speed. Asking where I wanted certain items in new home note: ( I had a lot of stuff in storage tubs with lids) Most Important: I WAS READY!!!!! My belongings were packed into the U-haul with care and Felix can pack a truck. Since I was ready, the move from old apt to new home took 2 hours and maybe 15 minutes. Hector, kept in contact and let me know everything from day one of contact, to after the move was completed. VERY Professional!!!!!! If ya'll want PROFESSIONAL movers, call or email Headfirst Movers!!!! rather it be personal move or employers!!!! DO NOT CALL anyone else but Headfirst Movers!!! U guys like so ROCK!!!!!! Thank you SO VERY MUCH Hector, Zack, and Felix Standing Ovation for Headfirst!!!!! sorry was not able to give a bigger tip... will keep in mind for the holidays read more

Headfirst movers moved my husband and I into our new home quickly and professionally. We were moving from 5 hrs away and were nervous about hiring a company we didn't get a direct referral from, but we couldn't be more pleased. We were moving the day after the SD power outtage, and Hector contacted me first thing in the morning to make sure everything was ok with me, and that the move was still on. Hector and Bruce showed up on-time with all of the equipment needed to unload our 17' truck and large pick-up. They surveyed the lay out of the home and asked ahead of time where everything should be placed. They paid close attention to our wood floors and made sure not to damage either the property or any of our belongings. They completed the move in exactly 2 hours and charged exactly what they had quoted with no hidden fees. I would highly recommend Headfirst movers to anyone!! read more

Since my move was within the same condo complex and didn't require a truck, I was referred to Headfirst Movers. Hector and the two crew members were awesome. Hector contacted me several times ahead of the move, showed up early on the move day, brought all the moving equipment needed, did a walk through to create the move plan and then got right to it. He and the guys worked hard! My move took about 5 hours and they only took about a 20 min lunch. I paid for burritos & drinks because they were doing such a good job.
