We used Hector and his team to load our POD in our move from San Diego to Seattle. Hector came referred to us from another moving company and he was so easy to work with from the start. Very responsive and communicative, reasonably priced and he gave clear advice on things we should get for loading the POD (ratchet straps, moving blankets, etc.). He arrived with his crew of two other men right on time during our moving day and loaded our entire apartment into the POD within three hours. I can't tell you how hard this team worked. They worked quickly, efficiently and expertly broke down furniture, shrink wrapped it, etc. We hit a little snag at the end where we had some things that were not going to fit in our POD. Hector and his team worked to move a few things around, rearrange things and get as many things in as possible. These guys are awesome! I found Headfirst Movers on craigslist and the service they provided is exactly what i needed. I had a 14 ft Uhaul truck and needed some strong movers. Hector and Ariel were able to help me with my move on short notice, Hector explained that they had a 2 hour move that same morning and they would be able to help me out when they had finished with thier first job. This was on a Sunday!! I live on the 3rd floor apartment with no elevator. Not going to lie but I was worried about my leather couches and my plasma tv from being damage. Hector and Ariel wrapped everything in pads and followed by shrink wrap and move my items with ease. They made my move look so easy, you can tell they have been doing this for a long time! My Uhaul was fully packed with none of my furniture or any of my glass table tops damaged. My unload was in Mission Hills on a second floor apartment! If you need help with your move, these guys are the way to go!! You rent the truck and they provide everything else. And I mean "everything": from dollies, to blankets, to tape, to wrapping paper and anything else in between. Hector, David and Abraham showed up sharply on time, took a quick look at the job and rolled up their sleeves and went to work right away. They work in an organized way: while one of them is disassembling, other is wrapping and the third organizing the truck. They are very well organized and coordinated. They took extreme care of not hitting walls or damaging anything. This is very difficult to do considering the size of some of the items and the tight spaces but everything went just perfect: not a nick or scratch. As the truck I rented was small due to constraints on the driveway of the new house, we had to make two trips. These guys never took a break. It was all about getting the job done and done right. i had to insist that they stop to eat lunch that I picked up for them. When I came back with the food, they were already done! Headfirst Movers was recommended to us by our storage pod facility, and they moved our house into two 16' pods this past weekend. Hector sent David, Felix, and Fred to load us up. We had tried to move many of our boxes downstairs before they arrived to save time, but it was still a large task. We were amazed by how quickly they loaded the pods (they sure did hustle!) and how they fit it all in. It took them just over four hours to load it all, and they were super careful with both our furniture (some of which they took apart for us -- like our bed and our dining room table) and also the walls in our house. These guys were great! We got a quote from some moving companies that were very high, so we decided we would save money by getting our own uhaul. We called Head First movers and it was only $60 an hour for 2 guys, with a 2 hour minimum. They will do whatever you need and bring there own dolly and blankets to wrap your furniture in. They arrived early but we weren't home yet, so they waited for us and didn't start charging until the agreed upon time. They were fast and worked very hard, and were very friendly throughout the whole experience. I would definitely recommend them, and would use them again. read more

All of my delicate furniture was wrapped and ready with no-hidden fees!! Grab a UHaul and put these guys to work! Get your TVs taken off the mounts before calling though. These guys are fantastic movers, but my LCD mount proved quite difficult to figure out(arm mount). Hector is a whirlwind and is very jovial. Let me just start by saying Head First Movers was hands down the best moving service I've received! I was sent to them via a recommendation and I couldn't have had a more prompt, quick, efficient, and noteworthy experience. I needed some movers to help me fill a moving van (I'll pack anything but I don't want to move it, haha). I contacted Hector back in June for a quote on a potential move that later got rescheduled a month out. He was able to accommodate both dates without a problem. Hector and Bruce did my move from a 1st floor apartment to a 3rd floor apartment within the same complex. Headfirst Movers did a fantastic job and are really nice people too. I've moved a lot in the past so I've seen my share of the "big name" movers. I've even had one of the big name movers break something and wreck the carpeting and charge an arm and a leg for it. I'm so glad I found Headfirst Movers instead of the big name movers. Their rates were 5X less than the big name companies, they were a lot nicer to deal with, had better phone communication, they hustled to get the job done as quickly and efficiently as possible, and all of my stuff was treated well, nothing was broken. Also, my apartment complex did not have my new apartment ready on time, so I had to reschedule the move at the last minute. Hector and his crew helped me load our ABF trailer in preparation for a move to Canada. They arrived on time, were extremely professional, and finished the job in less time than anticipated. They were very careful when moving large items out and navigating tough corners, being sure not to damage anything. They also took the time to wrap various items to make sure they would be well protected in transit. For those familiar with UPack, our shipment was estimated to occupy 17' of trailer space. Hector & David showed up on time and were the most efficient movers I've ever worked with. They were both very friendly and really took a lot of care in wrapping up any valuables (tv, large mirrors, etc) to make sure nothing was damaged in the move.
