3.5 stars Walking along Yonge St we saw Hazukido and walked in to get a better look at their croissants. The display case had a wide variety of croissants. They've got regular croissants but also fancier ones I haven't seen elsewhere such as Truffle Crab, Salted Egg Yolk, and Cod Roe. I'm not sure how much croissants typically go for but these seemed to be on the pricey side. I saw one for $5.49. Since we'd never been before the lady working told us about the promotions they currently have -- buy 6 croissants, get 1 free drink and buy 5 croissants, get 1 free. There were some combos on a poster on the door for soup and a croissant. I believe you'd be getting the honeycomb croissant and not any of the others. I got to try the chocolate banana croissant and I don't know what I was expecting but it was so good. The chocolate flavour was subtle but present, the cream went so well with the flakiness of the croissant and paired well with the banana. I didn't get to try any of the other croissants but I heard that they were all tasty as well.

Great assortment of croissants! A bit pricey and the croissant is small, so it's more of an occasional treat. Love all the offerings and the great service. Currently, drinks are $2 with any croissant purchase on Tuesdays and Thursdays.

A perfect pastry for breakfast, combo for lunch, or a treat for afternoon tea. Hazukido has specialty croissants, the likes of which I haven't seen before. They're all a bit smaller than the average croissant you'd get at the bakery in a grocery store but the toppings are well thought out. One of the eye catching ones in the display case is the Truffle Crab Croissant. It features a crab stick with a truffle sauce slathered on top. I have to admit that I was skeptical at first. I did get it and with a brief heat up in the toaster oven, it was incredible! The flavours were good and the truffle wasn't extremely concentrated or anything, just a nice hit of umami. The actual croissant itself was also great - exterior had a hint of crisp and great flake while the inside was still soft. Yum! Though not as flash in the display case, the custard filled one was probably my second favourite. The custard was smooth and not too sweet so you could keep going back for more. I did the buy 6 croissants get a free drink and no tax. Basically you can get any drink without bubbles in it - the coffees, refreshers, and their signature milk tea. The coffees can be hot or cold. I went with an iced Okinawa Brown Sugar Coffee. Make sure it mix it up well so the sugar gets distributed throughout! I like that even with the normal amounts of sugar and ice they put in, the coffee flavour came through well. They have their own rewards program here and there are instant rewards that you can win. You just need to sign up with your phone number on a tablet to do so.

These croffles are croissants made into a waffle shape; dipped in white chocolate and drizzled in dark chocolate. For a limited time they are having BOGO on ubereats at the North York Yonge street location!

The first location started at Atrium on Bay. I think this is their fourth location at North York right below Meet Fresh. Another new location coming up next weekend! Stay tuned! As you walk by there is a nice aroma coming out from the croissants. So far my favourites are the Truffle crab ($5.49) and the Hazelnut Chocolate ($5.49) I like it how it has that butter taste, fluffy and not too heavy. The chocolate one, I like how it's hard on the outside covered with the chocolate and as you bite into it, it's the fluffy croissant. Different textures. We made it just in time for the buy one get one free. So we go 4. I would definitely give it 5 stars if it is a little cheaper. But overall wide variety, unique flavours and some tasty flavours.

Yummy Japanese flavored croissants! Pictured here is the strawberry cream, truffle crab, garlic butter and salted egg yolk croissant. Super tasty fillings inside a flaky bittery crispy croissant. Both sweet and savory options are available which is nice. There is a deal where you buy 5 croissants get the sixth free. Although super tasty, quite expensive for the size. (Think 1/3 of a Costco croissant)

They are a premium croissant bakery offering 100+ flavours of croissants and have recently released a new croffle and Taiwan drink series in time for the summer. I tried both sweet & savory! The matcha one was so crispy and buttery, coated with matcha and gold flakes while the smoked cheese croffle was buttery with savory smoked chicken and creamy cheddar cheese. I also tried their dragon fruit green tea with lychee jelly which was super light & refreshing! Also really pretty the green tea flavour was strong and since the sweetness of the drink came from the lychee jelly, the drink wasn't overly sweet! I saw 3 staff members and I did however have to wait about 30mins for the 2 croffles and 1 drink which I thought was a bit slow. This is the Yonge St location so parking is on the street.

Hazukido specializes in Japanese style French croissants with unique sweet & savoury flavours. Each of it goes really well with the buttery & flaky croissant. Their croissants are smaller compared to others, but we love the seasonal as well as the signature flavours. Flavours: * Chocolate Hazelnut - Isn't it so beautiful?! I personally love it, as the outer coating is crunchy, but for those who loves chocolate filling, will find the Deluxe Chocolate better. * Honeycomb * Truffle Crab - If you're looking for a savoury option, this is for you! I will come back for this. Sweet & savoury always hit the spot for me! * Strawberry Custard - Delicious! It reminds me of Cream Pan in LA * Deluxe Chocolate * Salted Egg Yolk - I would never walk out a store without grabbing salted egg yolk croissant, it is a must for me! Overall, we will come back to try their seasonal flavours!

Japanese style French croissants. They are buttery and flaky. The sizes are smaller and a bit more pricey.

My favourite though, has to be the classic, butter croissant. I picked up a strawberry short cake for a family dinner, and oh my gosh, it was so yummy. The cake was made out of layers of chiffon cake (super light and airy) and a delicious whipped cream with strawberries pieces nestled between the layers. I've only done take out there, but they do have a small area with seating, including space outdoors for warmer months. The service is good, staff are friendly and efficient. Even if there's a line, you're not really waiting that long. The location is easy to get to from Finch Station, but if you're traveling by car, parking may be a bit tough to find, though there is street parking and a paid lot a couple blocks further north by the TTC lot.

The space is not big but there some limited seating. The display cases are at the far end of the store and if there is a lineup it will be hard to see what is available unless you get closer to the cash area and if this is your first time here and don't know what is available it might take a bit to decide. The coveted Dubai Chewy cookie sits next to the cash area. You can get a box of 4 or singles. We got a box of 4, with tax....just over 27 bucks. Was it worth it? I would say YES! The coating was soft and chewy with a generous amount of filling with the kataifi giving a nice crunch. This is definitely a treat.

We stopped by a couple times while in Toronto and while we were impressed initially, realized there were much better elsewhere. I nabbed the last pineapple bun with butter since it seemed highly coveted, as well as a normal pineapple bun. The pineapple bun has great flavor but tended to be a little dry. The butter helped a lot, but the bun without butter lacked the moisture - although maybe it was because we didn't buy it fresh in the morning? The trend with the pineapple bun does seem to be that the bread itself is a little dry but the ones with fillings, such as chasiu or butter, gives it the moisture it needs. The egg tarts were standard. Not bad but nothing special - and not something I would come back for. I also got a wife pastry that was not very good. Price wise, it's definitely a little steep. But it may be worth to not having to drive in poor weather to get to Markham or Richmond Hill. I do recommend coming in the morning while the pastries and buns are still fresh - it does seem to be better during the day versus at night.
