Service is terrible. The restaurant isn't busy but the servers and managers spend their time chatting with each other or a few guests. Food has gone downhill, like all the way down hill. The chicken sandwich which used to be crave-able is was so salty it was inedible. Food also didn't come out as ordered. Had to go to the hostess to get silverware. We sent food back. After waiting a few weeks of opening day we decided to go check this place out. I ordered the the fish and chips. Great flavor,a little over fried-in my opinion, but still really good. Yummy! Have been there in two occasions for Sunday Brunch and both times had very good service and great food. Started out both times with the Cinnamon Roll. Just got one to share the first time but got two on the second visit. Too good to share. Large pancakes and the omelets made up our meals both times. Stopped in there last night after leaving the fall festival. Had all my kids and grands kids with us, food was awful they couldn't even make a BLT , they put crumbs of bacon on it and they weren't fresh crumbs either there soda was flat or syrup tasting . I can't believe this place carries the same name as the one on Litchfield rd. That place has great food . This one in Verrado not good at all. Everyone's plate was a fail. Very sad I wanna support the local restaurants but not with this demonstration we had last night . Wedge salad was terrible, wings were salty , kids burger was hard and dry chicken tenders were old . Walked in Tuesday morning around 9:30 am. I thought that they weren't open yet because there was nobody in there but 1 couple on the other side of the restaurant. I sat at the bar. The server who never gave me her name brought me a cup of lukewarm coffee with cream but forgot the sugar. Then she takes my order and forgets that I wanted sourdough not wheat bread. 15 mins later the food comes out. Bacon, eggs, hash browns. Nothing special. But I i didn't expect anything special from that staff because they really aren't that good of cooks and I've been there 9 times and the the food is average to below average because they don't know how to cook eggs. Always a little runny. But the most consistent thing is how most of the servers take your order then you don't see them again for awhile. They disappear in the back and you won't see them until it's time to pay. I was even sitting at the bar by myself and the owner walks in my direction looking like he was going to say good morning but he turns his back to check the fridge in the bar and completely ignored the only customer sitting at the bar. I don't like this place. Never have. I keep giving them a chance but they suck. And I'm done spending money there. Good luck. You won't be seeing me or my family there again. Love this place! We went on Mother's Day and will be back. We ordered, Joeys ribs ( first rack was burnt, but they fixed this) , kids chicken tenders and fries (toddler approved), beef brisket skillet, and Wrangler. The drinks were good as well. read more

Very disappointed as we have been waiting for this restaurant to open. Beautiful inside and the waitress was pleasant. Food took forever and had issues. My son order the skillet brisket and it was burnt. My brother and I ordered the BLTA and bread was either grilled or toasted but a little to much as well. Tasted burnt. Small pieces of bacon and no real flavor. The side salad was very good. My boyfriend got a Caesar and the chicken was dry and way to much dressing. We will try it again with a different pick hoping will be better cause it is in walking distance from home so really wanted to like it! read more

I really like this restaurant but tonight it didn't live up to my wants. To start I asked for ice water and never received it. Second I asked for flavored ice tea and I could barely taste the flavor (raspberry). I ordered the country fried steak with eggs and I requested the hash brown well done or crispy. The cook failed and Mallory brought them to me averagely cook (not well done) i feel like she should have advocated for me and not brought the order to the table. I used my only napkin to stabilize the wobbly table and staff saw me do this and I had to request more napkins at end of meal. This is a new location and maybe this was Mallory's first day. However I only gave it 2 stars. Awareness could have helped. read more

First time at the Verrado Haymaker, not an enjoyable experience. The restaurant was about 25% full on a Friday at noon. Our order took 40 minutes to arrive. My wife's turkey sandwich had no turkey so back it went back. My "famous" pulled pork sandwich arrived with no French fries. The sandwich was very small and the pork was very dry. Not worth $14. No apology from the waitress and no manager in sight. We were looking forward to visiting this restaurant when it first opened a few months back but we waited so that the opening kinks could get worked out. You still have numerous kinks. Won't be back and will definitely not recommend. read more

We have been there twice for breakfast and the food and service was very good. Love the location.

It wasn't bad but it was just good, not great. Three servers were just standing around chatting for quite a while. The utensils come wrapped in a napkin. My wife had a fork and knife in hers. Mine just had a fork. Her tea came with no spoon to stir it and no saucer to put the tea bag on. The server was attentive and brought what we needed when asked. The "maple syrup" was more the consistency of honey with no maple flavor. The strawberry jam was almost solid. Otherwise, the food was good. So, we will try again after a couple of months to see if they have the kinks worked out. read more
