I also felt provoked and threatened, because the HOA mgr. Kami, called me on October 16, 2024, she literally scolded me (as though I was a child) and told me that Nick, owner of Pure Choice, said I threatened to write a google review, which I NEVER did. Due to his dishonesty, I felt it was warranted to tell my truth. Pure Choice Construction was hired by the ACCU, Inc. HOA mgmt company for my townhome community to replace 46 decks for each homeowner. On 9/30/24 my deck was torn down. On 10/1/24 Pure Choice workers cut the underground cable line which disrupted my service for over 10 hrs. Although both the cable and utility companies flagged the work area to alert the workers where NOT to dig. Nick NEVER offered to get my services restored, he didn't even offer to compensate me until I said it's only fair that I be compensated. Only then he offered a small compensation, which I appreciated. It took me several hours of phones calls on my cell phone, (because my landline, tv, wifi and internet were all disconnected), and emails to no vail to both Nick and the HOA office. I took it upon myself and contracted my cable company, who requested a work service order for me, and was scheduled for 10/2/24. The cable company's quick response was due to my heart diagnosis, and I needed to have my landline available in case of a medical emergency. Being a senior, this horrible experience caused me immense stress, both emotionally and medically which should have NOT been my responsibility to rectify. I hope Pure Choice make sure their workers are skilled, experienced and licensed in the future to avoid this dilema happening to another medically compromised senior. This is going to be long so bear with me…read more We are under contract to buy a home in which there was a recall on the originally installed shingles. The seller was having the roof REPLACED per the warranty from the shingle manufacturer. The seller contracted 1st Colorado Roofing to do the work. After our initial property inspection was done on the home, it was found that there was a missing vent cap that needed to be replaced. I asked for proof that it was done and was given Eric's number (at 1st Colorado Roofing) to contact and ask for pics. Not only was he completely rude, he flat out told me he wasn't making a special trip for me because he was too busy. Okay fine. So I ask our AMAZING inspector to go back out and take pics with his drone to make sure the vent was done. He made time out of his busy day to stop by for 10 mins to snap some quick pics and he sent them over to me. I see that the vent cap that was missing was put on, but after I looked closer, I realized that the roof in fact WASNT completely replaced like the invoice says, they roofed AROUND the solar panels. Meaning that the faulty, old shingles were still on the roof. The permit pulled with Jefferson County said it was supposed to be a roof replacement. The black shingles are the NEW ones, the light multicolored shingles are the old ones. What's even worse is if I wasn't adamant about SEEING that the vent cap was done, we would have never known about this shoddy job. Mind you, this home is in an HOA, which I ended up calling and they said the roof needs to be consistent so this wouldn't pass community standards. In the last 24 hours, we have contacted FIVE independent roofing companies who have absolutely NO monetary interest in this house. 5/5 of them said the roof should be completely redone at this point because the integrity of the underlayment has been compromised. 1st Colorado Roofing is now saying that they will just go back and finish the rest of the roof.... First of all, the roof should have NEVER even been done like this. Now you want to basically just patch everything together? Second of all, the invoice says that they put all new vents on the house. They in fact did not. They used the old vents and spray painted them, getting spray paint on the shingles. Third of all, weren't they paid to do a full roof replacement?? We are supposed to close, be out of our existing home with 3 kids and into this new house in NINE days. Someone needs to make this right and that someone should be the roofing company who shouldn't have done a "re-roof" like this. Please spread the word!

However, by 1 PM on the day of the appointment--with no crew and no communication--we left a voicemail. We were later informed that the team was working at another location and would not be able to come that day. We then had to call again to be rescheduled and were once more promised a morning arrival with a courtesy call beforehand. While we did not receive the promised call, we are grateful the crew did arrive, and we would like to note they were professional, courteous, and completed the job well. That said, the scheduling miscommunications were extremely stressful, especially given that we had planned several weeks in advance to ensure the work would be completed before our home was listed for sale. The work was only completed on the day our home went live, adding considerable pressure to an already time-sensitive situation. We understand that some factors may have been beyond CreteJack's control. However, we believe that the situation could have been handled with better coordination and communication. At times, it felt as though there was a lack of internal alignment within their team. Given the inconvenience and the stress caused during our experience, I don't know that we could or would recommend them to anyone which really bums us out. Yeup, within one week we had a signed contract and our roof done. We ended up spending additional money to re-do our decking... but it was our choice. What we suggest to people is do your research. Read the reviews. If they're off by a couple hundred dollars, go with Beyond Roofing.
