From beginning to end and all the way through, I can't say enough about what a seamless process this was. Sean was amazing as the Project Manager. Initially I was just looking for a roof inspection, as I'm taking on my parents' home, and had no idea that there was hail damage, or how old the roof was for that matter. He was so helpful and I did not feel pressured in any way, he answered all my questions, and worked with the insurance company and did all the heavy lifting to make this a very easy process. He always responded in a very timely manner to any issues or questions I had along the way. It was a pleasure to work with him. Tracy from the office was amazing at communicating with me throughout the process. We had a few weather related delays but she always worked with me and my calendar on finding good times to reschedule, as it wasn't always safe to proceed with high winds, snow etc. I was never in the dark about that and she gave me all the info I needed ahead of time to prepare for the roofers and having the materials delivered. The crew that did the work was also wonderful. They were so respectful and polite and accommodating. They also worked very quickly and I was amazed at how fast they got it done. Then, the clean-up was meticulous and you would never have known they were here. Over the years I've worked with many contractors and have had many jobs/repairs done, but I have to say this one was my best experience yet. Started off well, as any contractor will to get the business. Installed roof on 1/19 and left hundreds of nails throughout our yard after completion, where our children play, for almost three months before they realized I was not going to pay until they completed the job. We did not receive a single call after we talked to them in late January about cleaning up their work. Despite letting them know on their crew did a horrific job cleaning up and we were picking up nails every day, they did NOTHING until a couple guys came by to pick up ladders from the inspection. The work performed and their crew did a good job while on our property. The problems began with the project manager and their office staff when we requested an itemized invoice. After weeks of emails and phone calls, we never did receive an itemized invoice, only multiple copies of our insurance estimates and a final bill. As a customer, this is unacceptable for any business practice, and we do not recommend anyone do business with them. From having you sign a contract to relinquishing your homeowners insurance information, their pricing practice mimics your insurance limits, and you never do receive an itemized invoice detailing work performed or what you're paying for. The overall cost for the project was substantially higher than other roofs in our neighborhood of similar size and damage. Eli Guthrie is not professional. He agreed to do a job for a patio deck; Advanced Exteriors cashed the check and then refused to do the job. There is no explanation for why. The previous owner and I split the money for the deck. We paid $750,00 each, but the previous owner stopped payment; I COULDN'T STOP PAYMENT. Advance Exteriors still has my part. I spoke to Alex Hacenkamp, and now she refuses to take calls. I sent her pictures of her coworker falling through the roof. And text messages showing Eli said I would do the deck when I got the money for the patio deck. The receptionist said everyone was out in the field; even president and owner Ty Correy wouldn't return a call. He has a fantastic profile on Linked In, which doesn't mean anything if you don't have excellent customer service skills. I also had my roof done. A siding company said it was soft. The inspector is going out today, so I will keep you guys posted on the outcome of the roof. Regarding the refund of the money, I emailed Joelle Clark to see if she does her part for the company. Eli did not keep his part of the deal, took the money, and refused a job. The receptionist refused to find someone to fix the problem; she was in an empty building. Since all she says is everyone is out in the field. Alex has no customer service skills, won't return calls, and will most likely tell the receptionist she is in the field. Now Ty Correy, the owner, and the president, has no care for customers; I left messages to call me. He shocks me because his profile is outstanding on Linked In; what good is his profile if he doesn't have customer service skills or doesn't even try to fix a problem? He started the No Roof Left Behind project; He needs no patio left behind. So far, Joelle has yet to email me back about my money being returned. She's in the billing department. A very long overdue recommendation for Gary Irwin and the crew at AE. As an HOA of (5) units, we hired Gary to replace our roof in the crowded Cheesman Park area. What an awesome job they did! As the lead for the HOA, I was charged with being a liaison between the company and the members of the HOA. Gary worked hard to make sure I had all the information needed to pass on to the group. We ran into several problems (because of the age of the exterior) one being replacing the deck of a very particular owner. We had our roof done by Advanced Exteriors. 3.5 years later the roof has a leak by the heating exhaust. They refuse to honor our warranty because they claim it is an HVAC problem. They took almost 2 months to say 'no' and never once reached out by phone to actually talk with us about it. When inspectors were hear, they said it was their fault, but then they reported different info to management. Ultimately, they do not follow their own mission statement. Absolutely do not use them. My insurance company paid $7500 for a roof. They billed me for $12,000 claiming that this was what I receive. Then they billed me $10,000 when I requested a payout invoice to submit to my insurance company they decided to sue me instead. I live in California it would be more expensive for me to go to court than pay them. Do not trust this company. If you do force them to give you a dollar amount for every item on your estimate. I contacted them to inspect my roof because I was worried it had been damaged by recent bad weather, including high winds, hail, and rain. Andrew Graves was the inspector who came out to assess the roof, and I found him to be polite, professional, and experienced. Throughout the inspection, he informed me and explained everything he found in detail. Andrew told me that, except for the vents, my roof was in excellent condition. Since my roof was fine, I did not immediately replace the vents. However, that was a mistake; after another storm, my roof started leaking from the vents. I was distraught, so I called Andrew. Major hail damage happened where I live in 2018, lots of contractors knocked on our door - including AE. The salesman was real slick. I signed with them to reside our house, replace roof and gutters, and several other items. AE met my insurance adjuster at my house, AE hid some siding we had replaced the year before, as it matched the original siding & AE didn't want to adjuster to see how well it matched. Insurance balked at paying for entire house to be resided as only two sides had damage. A private insurance adjuster was bought in to try to get more coverage. That is another story - there is a definite collaboration between these 2 companies. I pay the adjuster, but AE reimburses me. It took over 6 months to go through this process, during this time, we only received updates when we asked. Work to replace our roof began without any notice. Several weeks later, insurance agreed to replace the siding on all sides of our house. After the work was done, we requested several items to be fixed - it happened grudgingly. Some items were "subcontracted" back to us. All of these issues were also happening at my neighbors house across the street, as I managed their repair work while they were out of town. Same private adjuster, same lack of communication. AE did not do any additional work without wanting more money - even change a light fixture. The salesman gossiped about neighbors, tried to be my buddy, and was greedy. They did not get the required siding permit from the city until I insisted on it. AE argued with us about trim not being available in the color we wanted. As you can see in the picture, this is trash I picked up after they came back to clean up. I continue to find nails and trash. In the end, the work was complete and the company wanted all overhead and profit we received from the insurance company, even though they did not perform the work. I refused to pay it. ($700 out of $40K) In return, they refuse to give me any documents regarding work done on my house or any warranty coverage - which is fine as I would not have them do any work on my house ever again. Overall, they used all contractors for the work. I would not work or recommend AE to anyone who would like their hail damage repair to be a smooth, easy experience. They also tried to get me to sign a letter they wrote stating I knew the owner personally, never met him, have it notarized and send it to the City of Littleton so AE's license could be renewed and werr furious when I would not lie. read more

I had a remarkably positive experience with Advanced Exteriors, Inc. Our neighborhood experienced a large hail storm. I noticed that 4 or 5 houses in our neighborhood of 19 homes used Advanced Exteriors for repair of the hail damage. Consequently, I decided to work with them on repair of our roof, windows, decks, and repainting of our siding. Everyone I spoke to was very pleased that they selected Advanced Exteriors for hail damage repair. In particular, Eli Guthrie was the project manager for these homes and everyone had very positive comments about him. Eli and the staff at Advanced Exteriors worked with our insurance company, appealed the initial decision of the insurance company on our behalf, and obtained a very fair settlement for us. The work was done as promised and any issues were promptly resolved. In addition, Advanced Exteriors even made some repairs at their own expense that were not covered by insurance when it noted some defects on our roof, siding and chimney. I don't normally write reviews when someone simply does the work I hired them to do. We have been trying to get work completed on our roof, screens, gutters, and shed for months. The processed started in June and is still not completed. They sent out a roofing and gutter crews that do not speak English and therefore could not effectively communicate with me. The roof is ok, but some of the work is shoddy and needs to be repaired. The roofing crew used the wrong nails on the shed and did a bad job on the drip edge that needed to be repaired. The roofing crew damaged part of our eave and it now has a hole still needing repair. AE did come out and fix much of the shoddy work on the roof and shed. However, we are still waiting for our screens to be repaired and the remainder of the gutter and roof repairs. I feel it is unacceptable to sit here waiting for months with excuses and apologies why the work isn't complete. I would never use this company again. Update 11/7/15 - Our screens were finally done. The roof inspector for Denver County just came and rejected our roof because they put the wrong felting on our patio. We haven't heard from this company for weeks concerning the above outside of the contractor for the screens. read more

Not sure where these negative reviews are coming from. AE has completed 15 roofs for me over the last 10 years for my rentals and personal residence and I have yet to experience any leaks or poor workmanship. Many of these jobs included paint, gutters, siding and windows. Any time sub contractors and insurance is involved things can drag out a bit longer than desired but the staff at AE has always been able to work through any issues and get the job done in a timely manner. The hail storm in June of 2016 trashed our roof and damaged screens, windows, and some paint. I decided to go with Advanced Exteriors because of the quote and especially the initial meeting with Mike Klemp. Mike was working many of the houses in our area so I took that into account as well. Mike was up front and honest and helped us find solutions for items that we wanted to take care of ourselves and to let the professionals handle the rest. My experience with Advanced Exterior - By far the worst company I have ever dealt with. Roof was scheduled to be installed. Materials dropped off in the front yard without notice or any communication. Yard destroyed by truck and equipment. Roof was scheduled for next day. Next day no call no show. Materials still in the front yard till the next week. Then out of nowhere, we hear foot steps on our roof the following week at 7am. Dogs are going crazy, have the workers pinned on the roof, we thought someone was breaking into the house. I called Kent our sales rep. with Advanced Exteriors and he said they had to reschedule. NO ONE called us, no one informed us the job was rescheduled. The day they finally did show up was the following morning when we brought our WEEK OLD twins home from the NICU. We had no sleep, two premature babies we finally got to sleep 30 minutes before they were stripping the roof. Once again, ZERO communication. The roofers completed most of the house roof that late night and said they would be back the next day to clean up. That did not happen. They walked around the yard with their cellphones trying to pick up the big debris. They left all the nails, small scraps, staples, i.e... our yard was trashed, and they just left. They sent 1 guy back the next day. I asked him where rest of the crew was and he said they pulled them to do another job and he was left there all day to finish up. Once again job not completed, the 1 lone guy walked around the yard for 5 minutes with his cell phone cleaning up. Yard still trashed. Nails, staples, felt and shingles everywhere. I picked it up the nails, material and trash the next day because we had to get the dogs out. So, only the roof is kind of done. They were to do a complete job, roof, siding, garage doors, trim, a complete job from the horrible hail storm. About 2 months go by and I get a call from Kent. Why haven't you sent in payment. My response was why haven't you completed the job? He said it was done per his notes. I send him pictures of everything not completed. He sends an apology text message, not even a phone call and will have crews out to finish the job. Two more weeks go by and once again, the gutter guys are now on the roof, no call, no appointment, no FYI, Zero communication. The dogs are going crazy, the babies are screaming and I am running around trying to figure out what is going on. The job the gutter guys completed is horrendous. Easily the worst job I have ever seen. See attached pics as they speak for themselves. Fast forward another month. I call Kent and ask when they are completing the job. He again says its already done. I send him a dozen more pics of things wrong and or not completed. He again apologizes at least this time is by phone and not text message. He says crews will be out to finish up on Thursday. Yep, you guessed it, no call no show. We had made arrangements to have the dogs taken care of and the twins dealt with. I call Kent pissed about the no call no show. He says they will schedule it in a week. Ok, lets just get it done. Three days go by (not a week) and the supply truck is pounding on the front door, despite a "please do not knock, babies are sleeping" sign on the front door. Dogs go crazy, babies are screaming, and the delivery guys are yelling at me that they can't get the truck were supplies need to go, (what would you like me to do about it???). Me being pissed called Kent and asked what is going on. He says they are coming next week, I say "nope, they're dropping materials off right now". So, fast forward to the next week when there are supposed to wrap it up. You called it, no call no show. I call again pissed and he said the guys finished up and everything is done. I tell him, no, no one has shown up or completed anything. I informed Kent I am done getting the run around on the job and quit the contract due to failure to perform and what Advanced Exteriors did do has to be removed and completely redone. You think that's the sad part, not yet. I then get a revised bill saying they are deducting work not performed for $2,000.00. AE charged on the original invoice over $22,000.00 for the work not performed and are now deducting $2,000.00 from the bill because it was not completed. Interesting math to say the least. Gutters - see the pics. All have to be replaced. Siding - see the pics. No description needed. Clean up. I already did the yard, not happy but I did it. The attic is FULL of debris. Last year the hail was huge and in my area of Wheat Ridge nearly every house needed new roofing. My daughter referred me to Advanced Exteriors so I gave them a call. If you recall the 2017 hail storm was horrific and roofers were kept quite busy. Anyway I called Eli at the company and he arranged to inspect my roof and helped with my insurance. Then they proceeded to do the re-roofing. Fortunately it was just my roof and nothing else. Overall I was quite pleased with the job they did. I used an upgraded roof shingle so in the end I even had a small reduction in my insurance rate! Amazingly the roof looks very much like my old roof so that is a plus. The crew worked quite hard and it was done in a day after delivery of the roofing materials. Now usually I post to Yelp right away but for some reason I forgot about it until recently I saw another neighbor getting his roof done and they did not move very fast with his re-roofing. That made me recall my new roof so one year later I'm posting this because, for us, this company was great! I can't complain and now have a new roof with upgraded shingles that resist damage. My insurance and my roofer did okay in my book. While there is nothing fun about re-roofing and it is a real worry I'm pleased as can be with how they took care of my problem with minimum worrying on my part. Update: I had a conversation with their company to further discuss some of the issues that I initially had with Advanced Exteriors. The staff did a very good job explaining all of the issues that I had and it was refreshing to hear and honest explanation of their side of the same events. They went out of their way to make any amends possible. I may have had an interesting experience with them but they do have some truly good people working for them. Summary: Would not recommend this company and I will not use them again. Over the course of the roof replacement their employees lied several times, hit us with cost uppers, completely ignored all of my phone calls, and consistently told me how happy I should be because they were "pulling strings" to speed up my roof replacement when the project took over 5 months and the start date was almost 2 months late for the roof portion alone. Additional Details: My sales representatives were extremely unprofessional and avoided communication and returning my calls throughout the whole process, you will get to know their receptionist very well because she is the only one that will ever be talking to you. At one point we actually thought they forgot about us because there was no contact at all for 4 months and the work was still not complete. They pulled a slight bait and switch on us by sending one sales representative out to quote our house. He showed up to my house and "underquoted" the house. We were given two options on shingles and told they would be the same cost by the sales rep multiple times. They then assigned another sales rep to our house and came out and immediately starts to add uppers to the original quote (Missed the lightning rod system, had the wrong shingle, missed the skylight). I was hit with a $750 cost upper. We were then told that the company was 2-3 weeks out from the date we signed to the date that they would start the work. After 3 weeks had gone by I called the company and was told that the earliest they could start would be in over a month and that they had not even ordered materials yet. I was then told that they could pull my date forward but that they were doing me a favor and pulling strings just to get my start date pulled in. So the date they have given me prior to signing the contract was completely false and they were fully aware of the fact it was false but still told me 2-3 weeks knowing that it would be much longer. They finally started the project a 2 months after their worst case schedule estimate. Like all construction projects there were a few items that were not fully complete by the original crew. They overlooked the lightning system, failed to clean up one whole side of the house (my neighbor ended up with 2 flat tires), and did not clean up some of the sealant they used on the joints so there was an excessive amount of adhesive used that was visually off from the ground. The first person they sent out to fix these issues fixed everything but the lightning system which he did not install. We had to get a second person out to finish the project. They also sent a bill to our house without actually completing the work they overlooked the first and second time they came out to my house. read more

Lets do facts...They showed me a roof I couldn't have (and installed it...grouse negligence). Now my house looks like a reject from a commercial nightmare (opinion). They charged my insurance for something they could not accomplish. They did not get a permit to "fix" what they messed up. They destroyed the interior of my house. I am last on their list to fix anything because there are other roofs they need to replace. One star is too many for this company. They mishandled repairs to my home caused by their work and then refused to cover all the cost I incurred as a result. Instead of dealing with me directly, courteously, and fairly, they turned their lawyer on me. Steer clear. They will hustle you for the work and then not stand behind it. read more

We had a hail storm go through and I called AE as we had had them inspect our roof before. This time, we needed a roof. They handled everything, contact with the insurance company, permit, great clean up and were quick to get it all done. One of their staff even came out, put up a ladder, secured it all for the city inspector to check that the job was done right. They are great to work with! read more

The roof they installed leaked once complete. Our ceiling is damaged as a result. They have yet to fix the ceiling. Our yard was full of nails and cigarette butts. their truck chipped our driveway. They sent workers to repair the roof who were wearing Jasper roofing shirts. hey arrived unannounced and chould not speak enough English to effectively communicate the situation. Hopefully we hear back about repairs soon. read more

I have never written a Yelp review before but my experience with Advanced Exteriors was so poor that I feel a responsibility to let others know NOT to use this company. They are unbelievably disorganized. You have to hound them constantly to get anything done. They do not communicate even internally. They replaced our roof and left materials and debris scattered all around the property. This is just an extremely bad company. Choose someone else. read more

I bought a house that had a new roof installed by Advanced. I asked them for help in transferring the warranty to me, and they did that very efficiently. I had a question about attic ventilation. They offered to come out and inspect the roof at no charge. They did, and explained how the new roofing improved attic ventilation. They noticed some flashing that they forgot to paint and fixed that. A year later I asked them to look at a roof dryer vent. They came out, again at no charge, and advised me to buy a better one that was less prone to leaking. I got it at Home Depot and they installed it later for a minor fee. I've been very impressed with their helpful, honest, and capable staff--both in the office and in the field. I recommend them! read more
