For one company we interviewed it was LP (engineered wood), for two companies it was Hardie (fiber cement), and for the last company, Superior Industries, it was a material we hadn't heard of before: Gentek ALIGN Composite Cladding (aka Alside ASCEND Composite Cladding). I was initially skeptical because I hadn't come across it in my research. How good could it be? Turns out, amazing. Really glad I called Mike to come take a look, as otherwise we would have ended up spending a lot more to get a not-quite-as-good product. Superior Industries replaced all of our siding, soffits, and facia, and aluminum-wrapped all new trim boards for us. They did precise, high-quality work and it really shows. Communication was good throughout and the guys who did the work were friendly and competent. Mike only has a couple teams, so these guys have been with him for many years and really know their stuff. I unfortunately contracted with Apex and almost 10 months later I still have an improperly installed roof. A roof has two parts - the underlayment and then the shingles. On my property AND my neighbor's (we share a duplex) the underlayment was not installed to manufacturer's specifications . This decreases the strength and life of the roof. This issue was discussed with Apex Roofing Management but they won't even return phone calls and will not discuss this issue. Furthermore, the roof failed inspection and The Denver Roofing Inspector can't actually see all the issues with a roof installation. Lastly, the mostly unsupervised workers damaged my property. Apex staff twice stated they would come out to fix these issues but, nope, never did. So now I'm left with a improperly installed roof with a significantly decreased life span and decreased strength. Please learn from my dreadful experience with this company.
