Top notch experience! I'm so grateful we chose Gates Enterprises for our roof replacement. Brandon provided excellent service from start to finish. He was friendly; transparent; patient with explaining all the details, and very responsive and proactive with communication. He coordinated everything with the insurance company so that part was hassle free, what a relief! His knowledge of the insurance claims process certainly saved us time, money ,and stress. When we decided to add on gutter replacement and trim painting, he coordinated with those trades to make it all happen in a short time period. Thank you Brandon for such a positive experience! read more

I'm so grateful to Gates Enterprises and the team that replaced our roof in Gilpin County. There have been so many trees down and roof damage that has occurred over the past year, and the Gates team not only got us a fair price and negotiated all the details, but they also got the job done - as promised and on time. My neighbor who watched the crew completely the job shared with me how impressed he was with the crew who were here. I would absolutely work with Gates again. Thanks for your good work! read more

Have a clearly placed "no solicitors" sign at my front door. Had a door to door salesperson ignore that sign early this morning, startling my dogs and waking up my infant daughter. After leaving a 1 star google review I got an unhindged absolutely insane call on my phone. Disgusting, sexist and unprofessional behavior beyond my comprehension. I have included a screenshot of the transcript voicemail message. Do better, be better! read more

Gates Enterprises - Screenshot of the insane voicemail I received from this company's sales person - Roofing Near Me - Lakewood, Colorado

My father had his roof and siding done by Gates last year. There were many mistakes along the way. The electrical was done improperly leading to my elderly father not having power for 2 weeks. The lights outside sparked when they were first turned on, huge fire hazard. The siding they installed was covered in black soot that they did not clean off. The fascia wasn't replaced and I have been calling for months for them to come give me a bid. I have called multiple people including the main office asking for a quote. Do you guys not want the business or is this company that incompetent? Find another company to work with. Gates will waste your time and money. read more

Andrew and his whole company are awesome! They are very professional, their work and cleanup is impeccable! They put on a roof, gutters, and siding! Not only does it look fantastic, they went above and beyond for us. They made sure we were happy with every aspect of the projects! The company has a BBB rating of A+ and I couldn't agree more! If we ever need work done again, I will definitely use them again! I highly recommend this company! read more

I had an excellent experience with Gates to replace my roof. It was hit by hail and damaged. The project crew identified that the decking under the shingles had to be replaced to be code compliant. Ironically the prior roofer did not indicate this. They worked with my insurance company and got the decking covered promptly. The roof installation was smooth and the crew cleaned up my yard. I did not find any nails left behind! Thank you to the Gates team for great communication and flawless execution. read more

This is a predatory company. They came to my door and stalked about how they experts in insurance claims and will get things done. They subcontracted the roof work and never came back other than collect money. Then, my new roof started leaking came out after a few days to fix the leak. Then my gutters were also leaking. They also left shingles and other roof materials at my house. Never came to pock them up. Overcharging roof installation and refusing to itemize work. Stay away. I agreed to allow Gates Enterprises to replace my hail damaged roof after being approached by a sales rep in my area of Colorado. After months of waiting and broken promises, they finally came through and did a great job on my roof with the exception of one major mistake. My old roof had a ridge vent, and that is the only way my attic vents. They did not put a ridge vent back on my roof, and they have promised several times that they would send someone out to get it taken care of. They have not done it. I have given them far more than plenty of time to follow through and finish my roof to code. I am now in the process of finding a remedy to this problem. read more

The roofing market this summer was absolutely insane in Colorado. I was so lucky to have Jess from Gates knock on my door and put my mind at ease after my roof experienced bad hail damage. She not only coached me through the insurance claim, but also met the insurance adjuster at 6:00 am to ensure I received the best claim for my property. Once the claim went through, Jess and Dallas helped me navigate material shortages, difficult schedules and more to make sure the job was done to my liking. I can't recommend this team enough. Thank you both for making this process so smooth and effortless!! read more

I worked with Joe Mestas as the project manager at Gates Enterprises and could not have been happier with the service they provided. The crew quickly and efficiently replaced our roof from hail damage. When it was done, Joe let me know every nail we found would be $50 back. It's been a couple of weeks, and we still haven't found any debris from the work they did. There was some minor damage to our gutter guards after the replacement, but once I notified Joe, he had it fully replaced right away without charge. I highly recommend them. read more

My contractor experience with Giovanni was one well worth noting. His knowledge of the industry, tentativeness to answer the phone with any questions and issues I had coupled with his professional transparency checked all the boxes of what a client hopes for because thats the confidence one needs when hiccups happen; as they always do in any form of construction. When someone asks for any advice or recommendations regarding roof projects, Giovanni with Gates Enterprises is the person I mean when I say, "I got a guy for that!" read more

This company is the worst! Zero communication they don't show up when they said they will. When the unexpected happens, turn poison into medicine. We, like many other families, were terrorized this hail season and had no choice but to assess the damage and repair. In those next few weeks, we were visited by what felt like every licensed roofing company in Colorado. Sure, it's difficult when you just get home from work to find someone at your doorstep. Or, you're sitting down for dinner and get another knock at the door. If you have experienced this, you know the feeling. You also know that avoiding that conversation is not going to protect your home or investment. Our roof wasn't going to fix itself, and ultimately, we, like everyone else, wanted the best quality work for the best price. I had countless conversations, collected all the business cards, and evaluated who we trusted to do the inevitable and necessary work. As a mental health counselor, I am fully aware of how taxing and overwhelming this process felt for my wife and me. We chose Gates Enterprises for many reasons. Yet, the biggest impression they left on us was how empathetic and trauma-informed their project manager, Dallas Leitz, was. When he knocked on our door, Dallas' approach and genuineness fostered our trust, allowing him to help protect us from future costs easily avoidable with quality work. Ultimately, we came to have a gut and informed feeling about Dallas and Gates Enterprises, and we couldn't be happier with the work they have done. This was the first roof we had to replace, and we had no idea what we were in for. He walked us through every step along the way, including picking out colors for the shingles, gutters, and siding. Our house looks better than it did before the storm! Lastly, we, like others, also had no soliciting signs on our door. We choose not to remove them because they pertain to every other unsolicited knock. However, protecting our family and finances does not fall under "no solicitation" in our book. I'm still glad Dallas knew that without having to ask. read more

Our Home took a large hit from the Hail Storm last May as did many homes around us. My husband and I had never experienced having to go through this process before. We called many contractors which is an intimidating, scary and humbling experience. We finally had the opportunity to meet with Wyatt Phillips a Marketing Associate for Gates Enterprises and from the moment we met with him, we knew we would be in professional and competent hands. Wyatt walked us through every step of the process and was patient and kind. We had many questions and he never hesitated to respond and make sure that we understood the entire process and outcome. Along with working so kindly and professionally with us, he was equally professional working with our home owners insurance company. He had open communication made sure that reports were complete and thorough. One the work date was set, the team completed a really beautiful job and Wyatt checked in every step of the way. This process is arduous and complicated so it has been really wonderful working with someone that has earned our trust and respect. There is not another come would choose to work with. Gates also provides many other services, so we know that when the time comes. We will contact them again. We are grateful that we found such a wonderful company. Thank You Wyatt and thank you Gates Enterprises for helping us through a yucky experience that could have been a nightmare if we hadn't found such a dedicated and dependable company. Hired Gates to do my roof after they had done my neighbor's roof. They were prompt and courteous and did a great job on the roof. No complaints there. However, my satellite dish was not reinstalled correctly and eventually came loose in a storm. The satellite company came out and had to relocate the dish, and they told me that there were a couple of holes from the incorrect installation that would need to be filled. I called Gates and they immediately agreed to do the work and even said that it should be done ASAP. That was 5 or 6 weeks ago. Since then they have ignored most (but not all) of my texts and calls. The one response I did get apologized for the lack of communication. Then they went back to not communicating. I find this completely unacceptable. read more

We needed a new roof after many years of severe hail storms. After getting other bids, we went with Gates. Dallas and his team were incredible to work with. We took a big hit from the hail storm this past spring and needed painting, a new roof, and new gutters. I recently had my roof replaced by Gates. I saw they were replacing others in the neighborhood and talked to Dallas, who was in charge. He worked really hard to get my insurance company to approve a new roof, had an excellent crew, and has been the only contractor I've worked with who did what he said when he said. Highly recommend. read more

After our roof was completely destroyed in a hail storm, we started to get bombarded by roofers going door to door. A friend of ours suggested Gates Enterprises to come and take a look as they are a local company and have been proven to be a great company to work with. After scheduling an appt for someone to come and assess the damage, we were put in contact with a Project Manager by the name of Dallas Leitz. We really enjoyed working with him. He communicated every step of the process and worked very hard with our insurance company to make sure all items damaged would be replaced. We put our trust in him and he didn't fail. Everything was completed as expected and in a timely manner. We would recommend Gates Enterprises and Dallas to anyone needing roof/gutter repair and/or replacement. read more

After major hail damage hit my home, Gates was out to assess the damage the very next day. Aaron Ward took the time to explain the whole process and took care of all the details. Through a new roof, 20 new windows, fixing decks and fences, and painting, Gates gave me what I needed for the insurance and dealt with the details so I didn't have to. Their work quality leaves nothing to be desired, too. I siltrongly recommend them. read more

Would give them a zero if that was an option.....made me submit an insurance claim, and the adjuster laughed them off the inspection. We found Zack Conley, Sales Rep and follow through Project Manager, excellent to work with. Ours is a steep and complicated roof that needed replacement after hail damage. Most importantly, Zack and Gates Enterprises did excellent, timely work and followed through with everything promised! read more

A possible scammer. Received a call today saying they were coming to inspect my house at 10 AM, at 9:45. I never contacted these people and never asked for a roof inspection. I have a different roofer in Littleton and have already gone through my insurance claim. The roof inspector that called me, saying he was scheduled to come over, was very rude when I told him I didn't know what he was talking about. The scary part is he had my name, address and phone number. Be aware that they are a scam. I REFUSE to do business with scammers! read more

Giving the company one star for two reasons, negative stars aren't an option and they do not respect homeowners. We have a very prominently displayed "No Soliciting" sign on our door with explicit instruction not to ring our doorbell or knock. Guess what their salesperson did? He tried to argue he just wanted to have a conversation. So dishonest AND disrespectful of our time (I work from home, need quiet and focus for my work). Not a company I am interested in doing business with. read more

I would recommend Gates Roofing to anyone needing roof replacement or roof repair. Nate Stovell came out in January of this year to be on the roof with me when the insurance adjuster inspected my roof, at that time we thought the inspector agreed that the whole roof needed replaced. Not the case. Gates roofing put me in touch with someone who would fight the insurance company for me (insurance didn't want to pay for the damage that was incurred from a hail storm) Fast forward to July of this year I finally get a new roof. Nate was in contact with me through the whole process, even when I was ready to give up and just pay for it myself. I really can't express how grateful I am that they took the time to make sure I got a new roof. It's so rare to find a company that will go out of their way to help a customer. Thank You Nate and Gates Roofing for guiding me through the process. read more

Andrew and his crew did a great job on my roof. They were fast, efficient, and professional. The roof looks great and I would use them again. read more

I utilized Gates to replace my hail damaged roof because I knew the sales representative. Despite knowing the representative, the service I received was not acceptable. My roof did get replaced and the crew did a good job. This is the only reason I am giving 2 stars. I had no issues with extreme winds that occurred shortly after replacement. The roof replacement required the removal and reinstallation of solar panels by an approved company. My Gates representative managed the timing and payment for this. The solar company was routinely unable to reach my Gates rep and had difficulty collecting payment for the work (after it had been done). This continued to the point where they were about to place a lien on my property! Various other sales 'promises' were not honored. They were difficult in working with my insurance. In general, the only communication I got out of them was when they were looking for money. In summary, good product with terrible service. I would not recommend using Gates. read more

This was truly the best company to do quality work at a affordable price. Marcus was my representative and he was the most professional and took the extra time to explain the process to me. Then his crew was so great they not only did a great job when replacing my roof they made sure that the whole area was cleaner then when they arrived. They had it done in remarkable time. I couldn't have had a more stress free professional experience. My house has a beautiful new roof and I couldn't be happier. I would recommend this company to everyone and when I hear someone talking about needing roof repair or looking for a company. I will give them the phone number of what I consider to be the best company ever. read more
