Faros construction did a great job estimating, communicating, and executing the project. I was involved in every decision along the way. They explained everything to me too. Happy I went with them read more

I think they probably do good work; however the initial estimator had to "qualify" everything to insist it was based on an average, so you can't really get a good idea of the eventual cost. Also, it's up to you to go all over to different vendors for every aspect: counters, flooring, cabinets, electrical, plumbing etc. Discussing payment would require a meeting with yet another person. It was all too complicated and overwhelming for me. read more

Home renovation project that should not have taken over a year to complete, and they STILL left a bunch of trash and stuff behind. Ricardo seems to be the one in charge, but we were forced to deal with Leo and Joel and a few other random people. Leo straight up stopped responding to anyone after missing appointments and projects. My mom was taken advantage of by this company and their lack of professionalism. She expected a professional remodel by this company and the result was absolutely not professional looking or a job well done. very sloppy and lazy work. Basic common courtesy and manners are non existent. The work done was subpar even after they had workers come and "fix" the problems. stains left on our brand new carpet, gashes and scratches in walls from lack of care. Workers would lean and sit on our cars, leave their trash throughout our yard, they would use our toilet and then not flush. our mailbox is now lopsided because of whatever they used to run into backed into it. we have slops of paint on the brick of our house as well as the concrete. Yesterday they sent Vivianas Cleaning LLC to clean, and they did the worst possible job I can fathom. this person shoved our belongings into random places, lazily wiped off surfaces and then jammed a bunch of non dishwasher items into our already clean dishwasher and ran it AGAIN. The people this company contracts with are lazy, unreliable, unprofessional and overall I never want to deal with any of these people again. They will respond with excuses, so just find a different company and save yourself the headache. If you're looking for a professional company that cares and is proud of their work, this is NOT it. read more

I had an appointment scheduled today with Rob at 3:30 pm I sent him multiple messages around 4pm asking where he was at? No answer Then at 4:30 an hour later, after I left , someone named Dominick shows up but doesn't have any business cards "because he got rid of them" Then Rob calls and says "he tried to text me" (he didn't) I told Rob he should of called or something I told him this is not a good first date, he said we can just cancel it then, I said fine and hung the phone up If this guy can't show up on time, or at least call to say running late, answer a text etc Why are earth would I entrust him with a bathroom remodel Hard Pass .... We used Faros for a 2 phased backyard patio project and are really pleased with the results! We had a general blueprint that we worked from and did all the legwork with selecting the plantings but Faros executed the plan and did so on time and at a great price. Phase 1 involved a pouring a concrete patio, replacing our chain link fence with a privacy fence installing a breeze walkway and rough landscaping. Phase 2 involved creating a fire pit area, building the firepit, finishing the landscaping and plantings and, adjustments to our irrigation system. As I mentioned, we did most of the design work but Ricardo and his team executed the plan with great success. They work hard, and Ricardo communicates effectively throughout the project so we never had any concerns. read more

I copied my review text from Google here into Yelp: Faros was great to work with. I had them install an extra layer of wall on a partition wall in my older duplex, and they made the project smooth. At the beginning the proposal had a bunch of line items each of which I could say yes or no to, and I said yes to everything other than paint which saved me some money. I had them make sure to go through the city to see if any permitting was required, which the city said no after evaluating the project. They had a recommendation for an engineer to see if we needed blueprints for the project by getting into the attic, analyzing the structure of the house, and making sure everything would be structurally sound, and their engineer didn't recommend any blueprints given that everything looked simple enough so there was no upsell here. They had a recommendation for an asbestos and lead mitigation company that I went with who came and collected samples to ensure nothing needed to be done there, and that was negative and a straight forward process. After this I gave them my availability to get started, and they came in on time, and at the expected budget. They did great work, and I would be glad to partner with them on a project in the future. They were very patient and understanding of my questions, and I had confidence that I was getting quality work. read more

We hired Faros Construction to renovate our garage: adding/replacing the drywall and painting. We are very pleased with the results and are so happy to have a beautiful and functional garage. Our experience was smooth, from scheduling all of the consultations, to updates during the project. They were able to accommodate our schedule and complete the project while we were on a trip which we greatly appreciated. Aside from a few small details, they completed all of the work within the estimated time frame and the quality of the work was excellent. We would highly recommend Faros Construction and hope to work with them again on future projects. read more

I rarely write reviews, but the experience I had with this company warrants one -- not out of malice, but in the hopes of saving others from the ordeal I endured. To start, the bathroom remodel began with promise. They came out three separate times to discuss the scope, but with a rotating cast of project managers, which with hindsight was clear from the beginning that there was no real continuity or accountability. Once the work finally began, it was a frustrating cycle of missteps, incompetence, and complete disregard for professionalism. At nearly every stage, work had to be redone -- sometimes multiple times -- due to poor execution. They damaged and broke a significant amount of the raw materials, showing a complete lack of care and skill. What was supposed to be a straightforward project ran over two weeks longer than promised, and their daily presence was a joke -- sometimes showing up for 30 minutes, then disappearing without explanation or progress. Even more infuriating was the total lack of communication. I work from home and had to rearrange my entire schedule to accommodate their erratic and unprofessional behavior. Not once did I feel like I was being informed or respected as a client. To their credit, they did remediate most of the glaring issues -- but only after repeated pushback from me to the owner. The final product reached an "acceptable" level purely by persistence on my part, but even then, the quality is sub-par and well below what I paid for or expected. In short: if you value your time, your sanity, and your standards, I strongly recommend looking elsewhere. read more

I had Faros construct a 14' x16' patio covering that tied into the roof. The underside of the patio was finished out with tongue and groove panels. Also provided the electrical and gutter work. The proposal was detailed out with the different pieces to the project, which I appreciate. There were a few issues that were addressed and corrected In a timely manner and communication was good between myself and all workers involved. A slight frustration on duration of time between start of work on parts of the project. All said, Faros did a good job and all the workers are very professional, very friendly and were easy to work with. read more

Does not speak good English so it was pointless to try and communicate what we were wanting.

Service was really good and the quality was great. I would highly recommend them for any future work.

Ricardo was great at listening to my goals and helping me come up with a plan that fit our very unique project and problem--repairing our water damaged garage brick and roof and installing two exterior doors. I appreciated the communication, patience and problem solving up front. We were very satisfied the work we agreed on meet our needs and we felt we got what we bargained for. I enjoyed all of the laborers and project managers I interacted with. The only slight frustration I had was the duration of time between work on the various parts of the project. The nature of the project was somewhat piecemeal, and commenced just before the holidays, so that may have been the primary reason the project lasted as long as it did. Overall we were happy with our experience with Faros. read more

Had a great experience with Ricardo and Faros. We have a fairly old house with a lot of crumbling concrete. Ricardo's team built a retaining wall, redid concrete stairs, redid window wells, and redid the concrete paths all around the house. The team was great! I could not have had a better experience with Faros Construction. They redid both of my side yards. Clearing out an overgrown yard filled with weeds, junk trees and stumps; and replacing it with a decorative walkway of flagstone and crushed rock, replacing a falling down fence, and planting bushes on one side. On the other side they removed a crumbling pebble and epoxy covered patio and installed a gorgeous flagstone patio. Ricardo and his crew were without exception responsive, professional, and took pride in their work. If you are looking for a contractor, you are at the right place. Highly recommended. read more

Moved into our new house in Aug and immediately knew we needed to get a little patio made on our side yard. We don't have a lot of space, but we knew we wanted to maximize our little space. I reached out to a few masonry/landscaping companies using yelp. Fun fact: you can reach out to as many companies around you as you want by hitting 'request a quote' and answering a couple of questions right on Yelp - this sends out a message to all of them letting you know what you want and you wait for the responses! so convenient - thanks Yelp! Anyway, heard back from a few different companies and Ricardo was the only person willing to work with us on on the quote. We looked into taking out some things, adding other things, even ordering the pavers ourselves to cut down on costs. He helped us out quite a bit and came out a good $2k less than the other quotes we received. Ricardo was timely, responsive, and his team did a GREAT job at making sure we were involved and knew exactly what was happening every step of the way. Absolutely love the work he did on our small little space and we have even gotten the best compliments from our neighbors who now want to reach out to Ricardo for the same exact patio. Amazing job all the way around - I couldn't recommend him and his company enough. read more

Ricardo and his team were absolutely amazing from start to finish. They provided a quick and competitive estimate on extending our trex deck, adding hardscape patio, landscaping work and more. I had a long list of options I wanted to evaluate and Ricardo was really easy to work with on evaluating and pricing them all out. Super transparent quotes and flexibility on the job. His crew showed up promptly every morning, always left the site clean ( we have twin 3yo) enough for kids to play in safely over the 6wks of work. They are very well versed in hardscapes and landscaping. When extending our trex deck, I mentioned a little unevenness in a spot and with no questions asked, Marcos pulled the whole thing apart, reinstalled and made it perfect. I can't recall how many times I heard, 'we want you to be happy with the job, whatever it takes.' It should be their slogan. Definitely not an experience I've had with other contractors. End result is exactly what we hoped for. Couldn't recommend highly enough. read more
