Changed our one car entry to be a two car entry

Max - the owner is super easy to talk to and was quick to get me a quote for our 6-car driveway replacement. I was recommended to him via a friend and am super thankful. His team worked so fast with the demo and new concrete, I'm just so impressed.

    My new driveway!

SEGAL concrete listened to my creative concrete flatwork ideas. Instead of having a drab gray driveway, I watched some HGTV show and designed my own driveway design with a dark smoke color and granite stones between. They had to pour 6" deep and connect the pads with rebar below the surface since I'm on a slight slope. The price is higher than normal but I'm so pleased with the outcome!

Excellent work on a new concrete patio behind my house. The bid was competitive and the work was professional from beginning to end.

And I called one other company for a second bid. David showed up in time for our appointment, and his explanation of the problem (80 year old mortar in our brick house was falling out). The previous owner had gotten some of it repaired. That mortar was failing, too. I was particularly concerned because one pillar that carries a heavy load was cracked so badly (see photo) that you could see daylight through it from top to bottom. David explained why it had failed, and how the repair work someone had done years ago made matters worse. His bid that was about the same price as the other firm, but his explanation -- and the bid itself -- were so clear that D. Masonry was my obvious choice. He provided me with proof of insurance, too, a request the other company ignored. They lived up to my high expectations. Watching them work, I realized that tuck pointing is a highly skilled craft, practically an art form. They took the time to mix and try a range of mortar colors. With their help, we selected the one they advised. Now that the new mortar has completely dried, I can see it is a perfect color match. The pillar I was so nervous about? They elaborately jacked up and stabilized things, so they could remove the pillar, which they disassembled completely, laying out all the bricks (with all the old mortar removed), so they could put them back exactly as they were, only sturdy now, and good as new. Masonry repairs -- done well -- simply disappear when the work is done, right? As long as I own this house, my gratitude for this job-well-done will live on.

She expected a professional remodel by this company and the result was absolutely not professional looking or a job well done. very sloppy and lazy work. Basic common courtesy and manners are non existent. The work done was subpar even after they had workers come and "fix" the problems. stains left on our brand new carpet, gashes and scratches in walls from lack of care. Workers would lean and sit on our cars, leave their trash throughout our yard, they would use our toilet and then not flush. our mailbox is now lopsided because of whatever they used to run into backed into it. we have slops of paint on the brick of our house as well as the concrete. Yesterday they sent Vivianas Cleaning LLC to clean, and they did the worst possible job I can fathom. this person shoved our belongings into random places, lazily wiped off surfaces and then jammed a bunch of non dishwasher items into our already clean dishwasher and ran it AGAIN. The people this company contracts with are lazy, unreliable, unprofessional and overall I never want to deal with any of these people again. They will respond with excuses, so just find a different company and save yourself the headache. If you're looking for a professional company that cares and is proud of their work, this is NOT it.

I'd hired Augustin to lay a concrete pad for my sauna and hot tub about two years ago; two years…read morelater and it's holding up great! I recently purchased a greenhouse that requires a gravel pad under it for drainage, etc. Since I had such a good experience with him last time, I decided to contact him hoping he'd made gravel pads before, and he agreed to do it within a few days of my initial contact. He gave me a price upfront that was very fair, and even threw in the timber frame on thinking about it for free. He and two other guys showed up in the morning on the day we'd scheduled, and they immediately got to work leveling an ~2% grade where the pad would sit. Despite it being a bit hard to access (there's a small gate, then a bit of a trip to get to the site in my backard), they managed to get the area excavated in just a few hours using just wheelbarrows. They worked diligently putting down textile barrier, laying the timber frame, filling it a little with gravel, tamping it with a machine, and then repeating. I was very glad they did it in stages as the greenhouse directions stated, and the angular gravel they used was exactly what was called for and quite attractive besides. The timber frame is staked down in several places along the perimeter with some pretty hefty stakes, and the whole thing feels solid. There was a sprinkler head in the site that they capped off for me for free, too. They would have finished that day if it weren't for an intense storm, and to their credit they even worked a bit in the rain. I was especially impressed that, unasked, they moved a super heavy box of my greenhouse parts under cover that was left out and was going to get drenched. They returned promptly the next morning and finished up the job. Frankly, this would've taken me several weekends and a huge amount of effort to do myself, so having it done in just two days was incredible. Augustin's a great, friendly, no-nonsense guy; I really enjoyed our interaction. The pad's held up great since it was installed a week and a half ago; it's been through several sprinkler runs as well as torrential storms and it's drained beautifully and looks intact. I'd highly recommend Augustin for any hardscape projects like this. I'll definitely be contacting him again should I need more work done.

We called to a few different places, all of which had very positive reviews, Agustin came out to our house immediately after the phone call, looked over our garage and gave us a quote within a few minutes of arriving. SRG…read moreHardscapes then installed an attractive, terraced retaining wall to manage the slope from the house down to the sidewalk. The work was done quickly and efficiently even in this summer's blistering heat. In just three days, the yard went from dirt to beautiful, tiered flagstone walls. The quality of this team's work is excellent. Sergio, the owner, provided a complete written quote that outlined the pertinent details and was supported with AI generated images of the "after" look, which confirmed that we were on the same page regarding the design. Once underway, the job progressed quickly and smoothly. (We're doing the planting, which is in progress.) Would we turn the SRG Hardscaping again should we need stone or brick work in the future? Absolutely.

Both had been damaged by long term soil settlement and an unfortunately aggressive tree root. The interior garage slab process went extremely well with no issues. They were able to remove the tree root, re-prep the substrate and pour a new slab that slopes to the door so water from wet vehicles will drain. The exterior porch was a bit more of a challenge. We had experienced significant settlement of the soil against the house due to improper backfill and compaction during the original construction. SRG excavation down approx. 6' and removed all of the bad soil and backfilled with road base and recycled concrete while compacting in lifts. Once this was complete, they prepped and poured and new front porch, patio and sidewalk in front of the garage/driveway. Unfortunately the concrete pour did not go according to plan. The concrete material was not per specification (we think it had flyash in it from the plant). This made the concrete material sticky and difficult to place and stamp. After 24 hours of cure time, we noticed that the surface of the concrete was starting to develop many small hairline cracks (plastic shrinkage cracks) throughout the surface of the concrete. After multiple discussions with SRG, and Sergio's subsequent discussions with the concrete supplier, I made the decision to have all of the stamped patio removed and re-poured. Sergio at SRG displayed his business integrity by agreeing to perform this re-work at no additional cost to me, while also being told by the concrete supplier that they took no responsibility for the issue. SRG returned approx. 3 weeks after the initial pour, removed all of the stamped concrete, and re-poured the entire porch, patio and sidewalk in a weekend. Again, at no additional cost to me for the issue. Although our project didn't go exactly as planned, I would still recommend SRG for your project as they acted with a high level of business integrity and did what was necessary to provide the client with a great finished product.
