I work for a private estate and we had a lot of stamped concrete being put in, the homeowners chose the more affordable price which inevitably backfired on us. They first told us they could match the color for the new poured concrete with the current, that immediately was a lie since our original was a sage tint and the new was more charcoal. So they planned to stain the old to help it match better, which they didn't even remotely prep or do correctly since the stain started coming off within the following month. (they tried to get away with 1-2 passes even though it was incredibly streaky). They did a path that connects two houses and there's maybe a few small sections that are a consistent 4' wide, the rest of it is incredibly uneven as thought no one understood how a measuring tape works. Now the true headache, they ran a concrete hose across our tennis court without any preparations or precautions taken. So they proceeded to trample through the court with concrete covered boots and left it there as it hardened. They believed they could pressure wash it off which led to them pressure washing through the surface, absolutely ruining it. We've been dealing with them avoiding the responsibility and trying to pawn us off on their insurance who has denied their claim over and over because the damage was their fault. So now the owners are ghosting us and ignoring the fact that they owe $12k to resurface a tennis court. All of this combined with how disrespectful their employees were by leaving constant food, waste and empty beer cans everywhere they went, even though they're on someone's private estate. This is by far one of the worst companies I've ever hired and I can't emphasize enough how incompetent they are at the work the claim to "specialize" in.

I would not recommend Liftech based on my experience. The biggest concerns were the lack of proper…read moresubgrade preparation, the lack of transparency, and the difficulty getting clear, consistent answers throughout the process. I specifically chose and paid extra for high early cement because my goal was to regain access to my garage parking as soon as possible. I expected clear guidance on the product's performance and realistic timelines. Instead, I received conflicting information ranging from not being able to walk on the concrete for 48 hours to not being able to park on it for anywhere from 2-10 days. When I asked for clarification, the responses were vague. Liftech's production manager stated, "There are no specific specs for high early since it is mixed with concrete at the plant," and also said, "There is varying information because no concrete is created equally." I would expect concrete professionals and concrete plants to have more consistent information regarding the product being installed. Another major concern was the subgrade preparation. Liftech subcontracted the concrete work, and when the crew arrived, they did not even have a compactor onsite. I asked the workers if they planned to compact the subgrade, and based on their responses and actions, it did not appear that proper compaction was part of their plan until I contacted their Project Manager and requested that a compactor be brought to the site. The subbase also does not appear to have been watered down as part of the preparation process. The video speaks for itself regarding the preparation that was completed before the concrete was poured. For a project of this size and cost, I expected better communication, transparency, and attention to detail. Unfortunately, my experience left me questioning both the workmanship and the information provided throughout the process.

Denver Concrete recently completed a large project for us on the main entrance of our historical…read morebuilding. This project was tricky because of the size and scope of what we were dealing with, and since it's a historical building, you never really know what you're getting into and what you're going to find under the surface. Rob came out to bid the project and I knew from the questions he was asking that him and his crew were up to the task and going to do a top-notch professional job. He went into asking specific questions that I hadn't even thought of, and he did so in such a professional and educational manner that I came away from our meeting learning a ton of information. You always know the good contractors, because they're the ones that really get excited and nerd out when they tell you about their process. These are the ones that take it seriously, and their passion really comes through. We got a few bids back, and although Denver Concrete wasn't quite the cheapest, I knew that they were the only ones that had the experience and knowledge to effectively take on any unforeseen challenges they would (and did) encounter. Denver Concrete worked around our schedule, and Rob was onsite with the crew nearly the entire time which was extremely helpful. The whole crew was polite and professional and Pablo did a commendable job directing everybody, and man, does that guy have forklift skills! They finished on time even after some unexpected added challenges, and the whole project looked way better than I could have ever imagined. They were even able to match the new concrete with the old concrete next to it (over 50 years old). Fernando took the time to protect my grass from the back and forth of removing the concrete he excavated and was very careful around all the various delicate obstacles (valve boxes, wiring, irrigation, etc). My house is highly secure, and to that end I have cameras covering every square inch of it - and it was really fun to pull them up from time to time to see how the job was progressing and watch how he was able to surgically remove concrete attached to the house with a piece of heavy equipment without a single chip of the house going with it.
