We needed to replace our cracked and sinking driveway behind our townhome. We chose to work with Denver Concrete, and we are not disappointed. We had to get approval from the HOA to have this done. DC provided all the documentation we needed, including pictures, and a link for the HOA to ask questions. We asked for a Fri/Sat for the project and they accommodated us. However, the work was pretty much completed on Friday. However, the next day it snowed and the temp dropped below freezing. The DC crew came out and placed warming blankets on top of the driveway. Then they picked them up and placed stakes and caution tape around the driveway to keep people and cars off of it. I was worried about the freezing and snow we had gotten, but Lee assured us that if the driveway should be compromised in any way, he would take care of it. The blankets they put on it left marks, but after a couple of weeks, the crew came out to "finish" the driveway, smoothing out those marks. We were able to walk on the driveway after a week or so, I believe. And now we are parking on it. It did take all of 4 weeks to get to that point, but the driveway looks great, we are no longer worried that someone will trip over the crack, and I'm sure this will help the value of our home. Lee and his crew are great to work with and alleviated all our concerns. As to the cost, we have no idea what cement work costs so we are not able to give an opinion on that matter. We wanted someone who knows what they're doing and are easy to work with, and we found them. read more

Summary: unreliable and will string you along. I contacted Denver Concrete on Apr 2nd to get a quote. Over 3 months later and being stringed along, I still have no quote. Appointment for quote: May 3rd. No show, no call, no email. I contacted them that morning with no response until I tried contacting them on May 11th. No call, no contact until I reached out again. I got an apology and an appointment times for that week. May 14th: No response for that appointment until I reached out again. May 16th: They came for their appointment. The appointment went well and I was excited for a quote. June 6th: I had to reach out for an update. Was told they lost a sales rep and my quote would be in soon. We had a really big job we wanted done including replacing our driveway and extending it on both sides, adding a retaining wall, redoing our front steps, adding a front patio and a 3 1/2 ft retaining wall, continuing the concrete along the side of the house, redoing and extending our back patio, as well as adding some bleacher style steps and a 4ft concrete hole for a basketball hoop. We started researching back in the fall. We found it difficult to find companies that wanted to do our job because it was so big. We also found companies that charged way more than Denver Concrete Inc., or way less but the quality of product was questionable once we learned more about good practices in the concrete industry. Denver Concrete Inc. seemed to be that middle ground where quality was supreme, while cost was reasonable. I will say that the day we scheduled our initial estimate, Lee forgot about it but quickly rectified the situation by scheduling something later on that day. After getting to know Lee throughout our project, it is obvious that he prioritizes his clients when he has a job going on and I know there are some less positive reviews when it comes to getting an estimate done. The mild inconvenience is worth it though, especially when you get a quality product and a quality service and have him drop what he's doing to attend to an important issue (like he did for us). Ok, now moving on to the important stuff! Lee and Dana helped us so much in conceptualizing our project and were so flexible as we had made several changes even before the start of everything. Lee and his crew were so attentive to every detail, gave their opinion when it mattered but also gave us the freedom to choose what was best for us. Lee's crew, especially the foreman (Braulio and Leis), were exceptionally hardworking, always showing up on time, communicating with us when need be, and making sure all the details were taken care of. They even addressed some of the grass and rocks in the yard following the work. The work Denver Concrete Inc did was exceptional and it turned out better than I could've expected. And that is obviously the goal, but there were so many aspects outside of this that made the whole experience even better. I'm always looking at reviews to make sure I hire a contractor I feel can do a good job, that is honorable and is also not going to rip me off (hence the long review here because I know how valuable they are!). So, during our project, Lee noticed a particular section of concrete that didn't look good and immediately he decided that it would be best to redo it. This is one of many examples where he was honorable and went above and beyond. Finally, one of the things I care about, is how the contractor treats their employees and them being fair and equitable to the ones actually performing the work. It was clear that Lee treats his crews with respect and really values their expertise, experience and opinion and that this respect is mutual. I can't say enough positive things about Denver Concrete Inc. It was a true privilege to have them do our project and I'm sure we'll be hiring them on the future! I cannot imagine better service or a better outcome. The office manager came out to give us a free estimate. We needed a replacement for our side stoop with stairs on both sides and sidewalks to the front and back. However, we didn't have anything other than a description to give her. (The old stoop was in disrepair and had already been demolished. Not the greatest planning on our part.) They also were asked to grade the drainage on the front corner of the house. Kyndal understood our needs, provided a price, and sent the project manager out to see us when the crew was free a few weeks later. He sketched what we wanted and told us some things we should have that we hadn't thought about. Everything was done and ready for use in three days. it looks great. Seriously amazing. The early-morning work was even done quietly, and everyone wore masks when necessary. I only used their services for removal of half of a concrete patio. It required cutting. I needed it to be done quickly to make way for another project. Denver Concrete had a crew out within a few days. It was a little over 100 sqft of a 6 inch slab. It took them a little over 2 hours to get it removed and hauled away. Couldn't ask for more. Seemed like nice people but I made my initial appointment with them and took a day off work to get an estimate done. They never showed up for the appointment and did not respond to messages that day asking what was going on. A few days later I finally heard from them and they were very apologetic and wanting to set things right so they came out and spent a lot of time with us and we had a significant amount of work lined up. After that, I never really heard from them again. I sent repeated messages asking when the estimate was going to be ready; I only ever got one reply saying they'd send it out that evening (which was weeks ago) and it never came and repeated attempts to contact them since then have been ignored. I hate leaving negative reviews for what seems like nice people but my entire experience with them was frustrating and unprofessional. read more

This past weekend I had the pleasure of doing business with Denver Concrete Inc. I was beginning a deck project and needed a 120 sqft concrete pad demolished and removed along with some flagstones hauled off. The concrete pad was atypically constructed in that it was mostly a 4-inch pour but had a super-thick (2ft) edge. However, in a few hours, everything was demolished and removed, saving me time (and my back!). Denver Concrete Inc was my first and my last call: At each stage of the project, from estimate to clean-up, the professionals at Denver Concrete inc. were courteous, knowledgeable, and transparent. Their prices were in line with the market, and I would say are more than fair given the quality of work they did for me. This was a huge renovation, and we are thrilled with every detail including the stamped, hand stained concrete patio, two concrete staircases with custom rails and a poured concrete grill island. I was very impressed with Cade and his company throughout this process. Cade was easy to reach, easy to meet with on site to discuss the project, and he was efficient in sending over a fair quote for our project. Cade was accessible, always willing to answer any questions we had, and showed up on time. There were a couple of times where it was clear there was a disconnect on exactly what the project would include, he was communicative and made sure that we had a clear and fair agreement about what would be done and for how much. During the project one hiccup came up. Cade and his team were quick to react and came up with a solution that would keep us on schedule. They took care of the problem with precision and finished the project on time. Also, after the work was done, they didn't just pick up and leave. First, they cleaned up thoroughly, which is key where we live. Second, they helped me make sure the area was secure and not dangerous since the project was right next to the sidewalk and left a large hole. They even gave me plastic fencing to put up (with their help) and yellow caution tape. Highly recommended company and would be happy to hire them again! P.S. This company seems to thrive in mid-level sized jobs. We had a lot of concrete work done around my house: we replaced a patio with a huge crack down the middle, added a walkway around the house (it used to be river rock), added a patio in the front, replaced drive way, and replaced the house front walk-way. Finding a concrete company that we could trust to do a great job, charge a reasonable price, and stand behind their work was more difficult than we expected. We found Denver Concrete on Yelp with good ratings plus no bad reviews on BBB site. Another company we were looking at, took their customers 1/2 payment and never did the job. We almost went with them until we checked the BBC reports. That wasn't the case of Denver Concrete Inc. Based on the reviews and BBB, Denver Concrete is a reputable company that has integrity and a track record of great looking finished work. So, we reached out to them for a free estimate. Everything we read about them ended up being true. Dealing with their team was easy. The sales rep (Simon) arrived within a couple of days, captured our discussion in notes (I did too) about what we wanted, and they shortly sent us an on-line bid for the work. I worked with the team on the color of the concrete and made some changes to the original bid. The Denver Concrete Inc team (Simon, Kendal, Cade, and Dana) were easy to work with. They were available when I called them, responded to emails, and arrived at their scheduled times. They were all professional, friendly and easy to work with. In short, we are very happy with the final work and it looks great. It was an educational experience for my wife and I since we had never done concrete work before. I took pictures of things that I wanted changed and added notes which always helps in discussions...it was a big job. Their crew was skilled, hardworking, and respectful. About a month after the job, when the concrete was fully cured, they came back out and applied a protective coating on the concrete as well as our garage, which that wasn't on the original bid. We highly recommend Denver Concrete for the setup, actual work, and follow-up. We hired Denver Concrete to refinish our stamped colored concrete and to pour a base for our large basketball hoop. The basketball hoop pour went fantastic and Cade and his team worked extremely hard to not only pour the concrete, but to dig the 4 foot deep hole that was required. They did a fantastic job and we have really enjoyed getting to play basketball in the driveway. The concrete refinishing job was a bit more of an adventure, but it ultimately turned out fantastic. After they originally bid the job in May of 2020, they had a difficult time maintaining dependable workers (possibly due to COVID) and they took several attempts to get the color and the sealant right. Unfortunately during one of those attempts, one of the workers power sprayed my stack stone, stripping much of it of its color. Cade and Kyndal were always in contact with me and were extremely determined to make this entire situation right. They not only worked extremely hard to get the coloring and sealant right, but they also replaced all of my stack stone (install included!) it definitely was a long journey to get to the end of this project, but I never doubted that Cade and his team would make it right and picture perfect. It seemed by the end that his labor shortage issues had improved significantly and the guys he had doing the final work really did a great job. read more

I cannot say enough good things about this company and the work they did! I contacted them because we were told the swim spa we ordered would possibly be in at the end of July and I needed a concrete pad to place the 15x10' unit on and it would need to cure for 30 days. We were a on a bit of a compressed timeline and they were able to somehow squeeze us in with that timeline, for which I was extremely relieved and grateful. Their estimators came to our property to assess the project. We also inquired about other concrete work that we would like to do. After talking and consultations both by the estimators and on the day of the project start we made some adjustments based on their suggestions. Cade was on site almost every day to make sure the project progressed and went according to what we agreed. They even provided some additional coverup assistance after we were left with unforeseen exposed rock from some of the demo and a small pad where we had to run electrical. I did have some suggestions and comments for improvement during the work, all were well accepted and considered. We are still in the curing process, but they came back out to evaluate and provide additional clean up and also let me know that after the curing process has completed they will power wash the areas to complete the project. I will likely be looking to do an extended driveway pad in the future and can't imagine using anyone else. read more
