Basement bathroom shower with new tile and shower door. New paint on walls and new flooring.
Shelley L.

Ryan is great to work with and did an outstanding job on my basement bathroom remodel. He also installed six new doors, painted and drywalled the ceiling in my laundry room. He's honest, friendly and offered a very fair price. Would highly recommend.

Ryan is outstanding! He tiled our bathroom shower during our remodel which included plumbing and drywall repairs. His attention to detail is amazing - plus he arrived on time and cleaned up afterwards. He offered creative solutions for the tile design and shower pan when we encountered some unexpected challenges. This kept the project on track. We are very happy with Take Pride Construction. Our shower looks fantastic!

Master bedroom reno

Updated photos from master bedroom reno. Tongue and groove ceiling and accent wall. Didn't cut ANY corners and such quality work. So happy with final product! Ryan was so wonderful to work with. Strongly recommend!

We've worked with Ryan a couple of times now and are always very pleased with the outcome. His work is top notch quality and we love our new master bathroom!

We had an outdated bonus room that was in desperate need for a face lift. Working with Ryan was incredibly easy and the work he did was top notch. Ryan provided great suggestions when we needed direction and did a phenomenal job at pivoting when the job called for it due to working on an older house. We could not be happier with the final results and I would recommend Ryan to anyone looking for a contractor.

We hired Take Pride Construction to do a full kitchen renovation for us and are beyond ecstatic with the finished product. We've had less than stellar experiences with home renovations in the past, so we were a bit apprehensive diving into redoing our entire kitchen. From the beginning Ryan handled the entire project very professionally & efficiently. Our house is older so there were a few obstacles that came up during the reno but Ryan was able to find solutions quickly! There were also some delays with us getting the necessary materials from the manufacturer in the middle of the project and Ryan came back to work on the job multiple times as product came in without hesitation until the job was 100% to our satisfaction. After each work day our house was left clean & tidy.. Thanks Ryan! Would 10/10 recommend Take Pride Construction to anyone looking to renovate!!

Ryan did an amazing job on a total condo renovation of an a outdated condo I just purchased in Winter Park. He removed popcorn ceilings, added recessed lighting in kitchen, laminate flooring, kitchen cabinets and trim, vanity, along with retiling the bathroom shower and installation of the glass door. He has reasonable pricing, amazing craftsmanship, and pays great attention to detail. He will assist you with coordination/recommendation of other parties and materials needed for the job (granite company, plumber, etc). My condo remodel was a bit challenging, and he was able to find a solution for each obstacle we encountered to still achieve my desired result. I would highly recommend Ryan and Take Pride Construction for your home remodeling needs.

New flooring

My parents used Ryan with Take Pride to redo their flooring and fix a poorly redone bathroom (by another contractor) so we knew he was reliable and did a quality job. We hired Ryan to install new Pergo Outlast flooring on our entire main floor which was previously half carpet and half ugly 90's honey oak he moved our current island a few inches out so we would have more cooking. He also installed new trim as well as a new vanity in the bathroom. He worked quickly, communicated throughout the process, and we are thrilled with the finished look. We will continue to use Ryan for our future home updates. His pricing is on par with others but the quality of work, trust, and communication is outstanding.

Ryan did a great job renovating our kid's bathroom. His price was very reasonable, he was easy to communicate and coordinate with, and his work was excellent. Thanks Ryan! Attached are some before and after photos.

The carpet is GONE! Fitting 2 mirrors, 2 lights and a dual sink vanity on a 48 inch wall was quite the project but its perfect!

I could not recommend Take Pride enough! We had quite the project with our bathroom/laundry room remodel that included a very uneven floor. Ryan did an AMAZING job balancing our ideal design with what was going to work best aesthetically and functionally. I really couldn't be happier! Check out the before and after pics.

Ryan did an excellent job on my bathroom remodels! I will definitely be using him for future projects

After, inside pantry

Do you ever ask yourself, "what in the world were they thinking when they put in a built in desk in my kitchen?!" Or "who in the world would want to work at a built in desk in this communal area of my house?!" Do you dream of bigger things for that silly area of your house? Then call Ryan with Take Pride Construction. He turned my dreams into reality when I told him that I, like so many others, have stumbled upon the unlikely hobby of baking during a pandemic. I simply needed more space for all of these kitchen gadgets I'd acquired over the last 10 months. (Seriously, I own a proofing bowl now, you guys). So, in a matter of days, Ryan ripped out the horrible, waste-of-space built in desk and installed a spacious pantry. His attention to detail is unmatched - I cannot tell where the old wall ends and the new walls begin (see photos for reference). He is punctual, friendly, responsive, and best of all, trustworthy. We had to leave town unexpectedly, and Ryan said, "no problem!" He knocked out the bulk of the work while we were gone, and we came home to a clean house (no, he did not clean our house, he tidied up after himself, come on people) and new, workable space. He is fair on his price and I highly recommend him for any home improvement jobs you may require.

What was once an uncomfortable, underutilized area is now a beautiful basement with a dedicated office, a workout space, and a much better-sized, well-organized utility room. In addition, they replaced all of our carpet with hardwood floors throughout the main level, and the results are amazing. The craftsmanship and finish quality exceeded our expectations -- the house feels completely elevated and refreshed. Noam was exceptional throughout the entire process. He worked closely with me on the overall design, offered smart and practical solutions, and truly understood what we were trying to accomplish. He came by daily to make sure every detail was executed correctly and was always attentive, responsive, and proactive. His hands-on approach gave us a lot of confidence that the project would turn out right -- and it absolutely did. I can't say enough good things about Noam and the A2Z team. If you're looking for a contractor who is thoughtful, detail-oriented, and genuinely cares about the final result with a great value, I highly recommend them.

Then we decided to get a digital rendering of the porch which came out great, but came with a price of over $1k in addition to the initial Estimate which was over 40k. Some time went by and we heard very minimal about the project between March and August. I decided to do a review on yelp to motivate the company to do something with our project. I received a phone call from the PM about how this affects their business. I agreed that I would remove that review and add a review at the end. Our understanding was that there would be quality control and communication weekly along the way however; this was not the case. There were days where the painter and foundation person came when they said they would and other times they didn't. A couple of times I would go out and look and tell the construction worker that the quality was not acceptable. This occurred on more than one occasion. I called the PM to tell him that this was the problem. It got fixed and we ended up with a beautiful porch in Mid November with a total of $45k spent. If you have the time and money to spend to guide this project the exact way that you want then yes, otherwise; I would recommend a different company.

When the subcontracted came they started the project and RAN OUT OF CARPET. 740 square feet short. It had to be specially ordered again from the carpet company that they use and that took 7 days to get delivered to their store. You would think that since they do the measurements and book a project that they would show up to the job with enough carpet to complete the job. The subcontractors had to communicate this with us. Wagner did not call and apologize for the delay or lack of knowledge. It took an additional week for them to come back and when they did come back they were supposed to come between 9-11am. They did not come until around 3:30 ish. I also was not told they were coming late I had to keep asking. After the carpet was installed they had left a huge mess for us to clean up. All of the leftover carpet fringes were all over the place. The LVP guys, pushed the excess material into the basement drain causing it to clog. Communication with everything was horrible. Before our carpet was installed we had brand new drywall installed and my husband worked very hard to paint the walls before the carpet was laid so we didn't have to paint after new carpet was installed. Unfortunately that was not the case. Our walls were severely damaged due to lack of responsibility with materials. I will attach pictures below. I was in tears over the damage that had been to the walls. I asked the guy what about all the damage in the walls he dabbed paint with a dirty textured hand towel on the wall trying to make it better I said no this is drywall damage. He said to call Wagner because it wasn't him. We called Wagner and told them we needed it fixed. My husband spoke to the "director of operations" and she was unable to authorize a discount of anything else until she spoke to someone higher, not sure who is higher than that but it took her days to come back. We had to fight tooth and nail to get slight compensation for everything we had to deal with. They called us and said their drywall repair guy was too busy so we could hire someone and send them the invoice and they would pay it. We had our drywall guy come back and get a new quote and we sent the quote to wagner. THEN they decided that their drywall guy had time all of the sudden. So now they wasted our drywall's guy time by coming and doing a quote. When their drywall guy came to fix the walls he fixed the dry wall and only wanted to paint small patches. My husband said no you need to paint the whole wall in order to not leave lines. He also did not paint all the way down the walls. He also got a ton of paint in the carpet by the trim area. It was very devastating and missed quite a bit of spots. He also left divots on the wall from his ladder. On top of that he brought his 2 unknown people to the house, I'm assuming his wife and kid but it was very unprofessional. It took him about 3 days to finish it all. This project was supposed to be about 3 days max and it took about a month when it was all said and done. When we put the trim in the bathroom the gap (where LVP meets wall) was larger than what you can reasonably cover with a piece of trim so they had to come back and fix that too. It was so exhausting. Update one year later, the carpet at the seams is bulging and fringing up. So long story short the carpet got installed but I would never hire Wagner again or prefer them to anyone. They keep texting me asking me for reviews and referrals and how I can get a 50 dollar Amazon gift card if someone does a project with them but NO THANK YOU!

We first hired him back when he was known as "Steve Beam Handyman," and it's been amazing to see him grow and expand his services with the launch of Denver Remodels Inc. Over the years, Steve and his team have tackled everything from small repairs (like anchoring heavy drapery hardware into our finicky plaster walls) to major renovations (like restoring the exterior of our 1908 Craftsman). One of our favorite projects was transforming our mudroom by removing a wall and building a custom breakfast nook. This was a complex project, but Steve's expertise and creativity shone through. He even suggested a design element in the booth walls that perfectly complemented the Craftsman lines of our home - it's those little details that make a huge difference. What we think truly sets Steve apart is his incredible craftsmanship, creativity, and his consultative approach. He takes the time to truly understand your vision and offers expert guidance throughout the design process. Whether you're tackling a small project or a major renovation, Steve's deep knowledge and experience are on display with every project he does. He's always there to answer questions, offer suggestions, and steer you in the right direction, ensuring that the final result is even better than you imagined.
