My parents used Ryan with Take Pride to redo their flooring and fix a poorly redone bathroom (by another contractor) so we knew he was reliable and did a quality job. We hired Ryan to install new Pergo Outlast flooring on our entire main floor which was previously half carpet and half ugly 90's honey oak he moved our current island a few inches out so we would have more cooking. He also installed new trim as well as a new vanity in the bathroom. He worked quickly, communicated throughout the process, and we are thrilled with the finished look. We had an outdated guest bathroom that needed updating and I initially found Ryan on Yelp and after meeting him and reading the great reviews he had we decided to hire him for the project. We came up with a design pretty quickly and he was demoing the next day. When the materials arrived he started right away and started doing the tiling. He was here everyday and finished the project in less than 2 weeks. Not only was Ryan extremely efficient with his time, but he also did an incredible job. Every day after he left he would clean up his space and was just an all around great guy to work with. We were very happy with the cost of the remodel and how amazing everything came out. We converted a half bath into a full bath which required moving some walls. Everything from start to finish was especially smooth. First of all, Ryan is great and easy to work with! He just completed an update of the kitchen area in our Winter Park condo. He had to work with the building practices in place when the condo was constructed in 1972, which presented him with some challenges. The new cabinets, back splash, countertops, recessed lighting and island look amazing. Ryan also had to do some repair to our existing laminate flooring in the process and did an excellent job. He added new shower doors, which again presented him with challenges because of unlevel shower base. He made it work and they look great. We also had Ryan cut a new opening and install a complete new second door to an existing closet area. He also installed new light fixtures in the hallway and bedroom. As you can tell, Ryan has many talents and accomplished our project at a fair price and quickly. He pays attention to detail and and communicates well. I'll preface my comments by admitting that I've never left a review (on any platform). I felt the need to give Ryan props for a job he just completed at our house. Ryan was put into a tricky situation with an unexpected dishwater leak that required water mitigation and restoration of our hardwood floors and basement. He was flexible and adjusted to our last minute house crisis. Regarding the projects, we were looking to replace the baseboard / doors and refinish the window sills, redo our master bath, and enclose an open loft with a wall for a nursery. Ryan came in with the most competitive bid. He worked at our house for close to a month and it was a pleasure having him here. He worked long days and the end result was well worth it. Ryan solved problems that we didn't anticipate and provided high quality work and recommendations. I've already recommended him to multiple neighbors in our neighborhood and hope to have him back for other house projects. My one critique of Ryan is to take before and after pictures so he can highlight / showcase his skills and capabilities :). Quite literally the best contractor we have ever worked with, and we are doing a lot of house renovations so we have worked with quite a few at this point. First of all, getting anyone to respond to us in a timely fashion is a chore. Ryan got back to us immediately and came the same weekend to check out the work we needed done. Second, he is an incredible communicator and very reliable. I am never wondering where a project stands, if is he going to show up when he says he will, etc. Third, he is not trying to rip you off like most contractors we have worked with. And finally, his work is outstanding. He has done a bathroom renovation (new floor, new toilet, vanity installation, etc), built an interior bedroom, replaced interior doors, and installed a new floor downstairs. Every job has been done in a timely fashion and all of his work is great thus far. Also, he is so clean - he never leaves a speck of dust behind. We want him doing every project for our home at this point - we don't trust anyone else. And maybe this doesn't matter to everyone, but I personally like that he is friendly, easy to talk to, and will even offer advice on things he isn't working on (for instance, I always have questions about painting and what not, and he will patiently listen to me and help where he can).
