Finally getting around to this review.. 11 months later. Quote was not the issue, we ordered the carpet on sale and had the project scheduled a month later. When the subcontracted came they started the project and RAN OUT OF CARPET. 740 square feet short. It had to be specially ordered again from the carpet company that they use and that took 7 days to get delivered to their store. You would think that since they do the measurements and book a project that they would show up to the job with enough carpet to complete the job. The subcontractors had to communicate this with us. Wagner did not call and apologize for the delay or lack of knowledge. It took an additional week for them to come back and when they did come back they were supposed to come between 9-11am. They did not come until around 3:30 ish. I also was not told they were coming late I had to keep asking. After the carpet was installed they had left a huge mess for us to clean up. All of the leftover carpet fringes were all over the place. The LVP guys, pushed the excess material into the basement drain causing it to clog. Communication with everything was horrible. Before our carpet was installed we had brand new drywall installed and my husband worked very hard to paint the walls before the carpet was laid so we didn't have to paint after new carpet was installed. Unfortunately that was not the case. Our walls were severely damaged due to lack of responsibility with materials. I will attach pictures below. I was in tears over the damage that had been to the walls. I asked the guy what about all the damage in the walls he dabbed paint with a dirty textured hand towel on the wall trying to make it better I said no this is drywall damage. He said to call Wagner because it wasn't him. We called Wagner and told them we needed it fixed. My husband spoke to the "director of operations" and she was unable to authorize a discount of anything else until she spoke to someone higher, not sure who is higher than that but it took her days to come back. We had to fight tooth and nail to get slight compensation for everything we had to deal with. They called us and said their drywall repair guy was too busy so we could hire someone and send them the invoice and they would pay it. We had our drywall guy come back and get a new quote and we sent the quote to wagner. THEN they decided that their drywall guy had time all of the sudden. So now they wasted our drywall's guy time by coming and doing a quote. When their drywall guy came to fix the walls he fixed the dry wall and only wanted to paint small patches. My husband said no you need to paint the whole wall in order to not leave lines. He also did not paint all the way down the walls. He also got a ton of paint in the carpet by the trim area. It was very devastating and missed quite a bit of spots. He also left divots on the wall from his ladder. On top of that he brought his 2 unknown people to the house, I'm assuming his wife and kid but it was very unprofessional. It took him about 3 days to finish it all. This project was supposed to be about 3 days max and it took about a month when it was all said and done. When we put the trim in the bathroom the gap (where LVP meets wall) was larger than what you can reasonably cover with a piece of trim so they had to come back and fix that too. It was so exhausting. Update one year later, the carpet at the seams is bulging and fringing up. So long story short the carpet got installed but I would never hire Wagner again or prefer them to anyone. They keep texting me asking me for reviews and referrals and how I can get a 50 dollar Amazon gift card if someone does a project with them but NO THANK YOU!

Let me share with you my experience, Walter their salesman came out to give me a bid Once he found out that Home Depot had done the estimate already, he just used the amount of boxes which was about 80 for the estimate. He did no measuring or anything else. He was gone in about 10 minutes. (I needed only labor as I was purchasing the material from Home Depot.) Once we agreed on Price to have all the existing solid wood baseboard, removed the new floor put down and the baseboard put back. I agreed to the job. Pricing; I agreed on 50% down and 50% when the job was completed to maintain some control of the final product I'm very glad I did this. Their policy is to get 100% upfront, which I never recommend anyone for any service, ever do. The very next day after agreeing on terms with Walter, I got a call asking for 100% of the money I told this lady that's not what we agreed to and she said well that's what we normally do and I said you better call Walter. I'm gonna cancel the job. She did came back excepted 50% Overall, the subcontractors that came out from a company called Sun sunshine floors did a pretty good job putting in the material But it's the follow up , putting doors back on , getting trim put back on that was a real headache and took me almost 30 days to get done and also a threat of a complaint to get what I considered to be a very reasonable discount about $370 off my bill In the end, I fixed the existing problems myself because it was too much of a headache after they finally agreed to give me the discount Finally, a reminder again if you use this company, do not pay 100% upfront you'll have no control over the job over anything that needs to get fixed and you'll be working on their timetable, while they have all your money ------- Part 2 It's smart that Kelly took down her first knee jerk response to my above comment since is was inaccurate and not well researched. "Telling me I agreed not to leave public comment in agreement for the discount" -that was true if you accepted my generous offer.... the first go round. I'm going to guess that she finally got around to actually reading.... the 2nd email with my threat to file a complaint with yelp. Poof.....gone and replaced with boiler plate sorry we messed up and we should have done better. " Kelly, I wish you would have taken seriously my first initial complaint to your company and really taken the time to call me and find out what happened, Sincerely apologize, accept my generous offer and maybe even go a bit farther to make me happy and satisfied, If you had done so, we wouldn't be having this stupid engagement in the first place. Even after all that, I do hope you have a Merry Christmas and a Happy New year.

Wagner Floors did a fantastic job on my front porch. Estimator was right on time and very helpful. Pricing was fair. We had a few scheduling problems with the installation outside of everyone's control, but ultimately resolution was well communicated and handled professionally. Preliminary cement work was tricky and final solution was true craftsmanship! Final installation of the surface was amazing. Marcus did a fantastic job and was a pleasure to work with. Gonna get my garage done next! Can't go wrong with this company. Total professionals and everyone was helpful and courteous.

DO NOT PAY FOR EPOXY FLOORS FROM WAGNER. We paid thousands of dollars to have epoxy flooring installed at our new home's garage and large outbuilding. We left the garage doors wide open for days as instructed to allow it to cure. The entire floor in both buildings was wildly sticky. We called, they came out and said "oops, this happens sometimes". They sanded half the flake off and reapplied the top coating. We left the doors wide open for another 3 days. Now it's moving day and the garage floor is still sticky. So every bit of dirt from your shoes sticks to the floor and balls up into gummy black spots. If you walk inside the house after standing on the garage floor, you drag in the sticky crud and now it is all over your house. Very dissatisfied and disappointed as we had a similar flooring at our old house and loved it. This stuff is terrible and we now need to pay someone else to redo it all.

Update to the "Owners" Response is Below: Updated 12/26/2025 Wagner Floors is, without exaggeration, one of the most dishonest and unprofessional companies we've ever dealt with. We had them come out after a flood to replace our carpet. They insisted on sending a sales rep in person so we could get an accurate quote. We trusted that. Big mistake. After agreeing to the price, they demanded full payment upfront before even ordering the carpet -- which should have been our first clue that this company operates on red flags. Then installation day arrives: 12/22/2025, a date they promised so our home would be ready before Christmas with family visiting. The installers walk in and immediately hit us with, "Oh, by the way, you owe another $350 because the salesman miscounted seams." This exact issue shows up in other reviews, so clearly this isn't an accident -- it's a pattern. My husband and I both work in the trades. We know how quoting works. When a company screws up a quote, the company eats the cost. That's standard. That's ethical. That's how reputable businesses operate. Wagner Floors, on the other hand, seems to rely on inaccurate quotes as a business model -- get you committed, take your money, then corner you with surprise charges when you have no choice but to proceed. We did everything right: we got the in‑person quote, we paid in full, we trusted their timeline. They still tried to squeeze more money out of us at the last minute and shrugged off their own mistake. This wasn't a misunderstanding. This was a bait‑and‑switch, plain and simple. I wouldn't recommend Wagner Floors to anyone -- not friends, not family, not strangers. If you're reading this, save yourself the headache and run in the opposite direction. There are plenty of flooring companies out there that don't rely on deception to make a sale. Also, the installers DO NOT work for Wagner Floors, they are 1099 Contractors, and their work looks ok and they were nice. Thanks for the lesson learned. Coral AND Troy Whipple Update and Our Response: Obviously our problem wasn't the fact that you use subs - We already knew that before we booked the job with you, and we also stated in the review that the subs were fine, their work was good, and they were friendly. I guess I have to point out the facts in simpler terms for you to understand, we are upset about your blatant bait and switch scam. You sent a SALES guy out to give us an IN-PERSON quote so that we knew the price of the project BEFORE it began. Once you had your "Installers/Subs" in our home YOU called us and told us we would have to pay more money in order for the job to be completed. How is it our fault that your sales guy was wrong and that the job was underbid BY HIM?? As a company YOU should TRAIN him better, FIRE him, and/or eat the cost. We called you to give us a quote and once we agreed upon the price and PAID-IN-FULL before the project began that should have been the end of that and WE as your customers should not have heard another word about price. Once you had our money, the installers onsite, and it was two days before Christmas, you decided as a "business" owner that you needed to get more money. P.S - Your "family installers/subs" gave us their personal card and told us not to use you in the future and to only call them. What a great "family." - Have the day you deserve.

As one of the other reviewers said, these guys use subcontractors of varying quality. They had to…read morerefinish the floor 3 times because the owner insisted on sending the same crew back each time (which makes sense if using a fixed-price sub - keeps their profit intact). I communicated my concerns professionally (and almost apologetically) with the owner as we went, but I'm not sure that any of them were addressed directly with the crew - rather they were just given basic instructions at the start of each day to fix the problems from the last go 'round. I'll give them credit for trying to make it right, and the floor looks a lot better than it did when they started, but it still wasn't 100% at the end and they didn't want to listen to any more complaints. A list of items specific issues that as far as I can tell were never communicated back to the crew: - The first thing the crew leader did was take a dump in my bathroom, without asking, and made this a daily ritual. - They didn't bother to cover anything up before sanding - no sheathing between rooms, no covers over the vents - so dust was everywhere in the house. At least I had the good sense to turn off the HVAC, but still had to change the air filters several times before they finished the job. - They sanded/buffed the carpet, trashing it where the carpet meets the hardwood. - Stain was applied in some places across grain / boards rather than same direction leading to stripes (1st attempt), and inconsistently leading to dark splotches (2nd attempt). - They used my ladder (from the garage) without asking. - They left gobs of topcoat around trim and puddling elsewhere. - They did not take the time to use filler properly after the second attempt - there are dark spots around nails, knots, and where sanding was rough. - Hand sanding was quite rough in several areas leading to dark stain, especially around trim, cabinets, toilet, etc. And they didn't thoroughly clean or screen before coating in several places, leading to dirt and debris in the finish. - Stain spatter was left on the wall from brush work and flinging wet towels. The sinks were a left an absolute mess. - There was no real cleanup to speak of and patches of grass are dead in the front yard where they cleaned stain off their tools and equipment. - The "suicide cord" they were using to connect to 240V was a fire and safety hazard. After attempting to share my last round of concerns (not asking for them to redo it again but rather just trying to share some of the issues for future improvement), Anthony told me to stop looking so closely and asked, "You gonna blast us on the internet?" indicating his level of concern. For a website that touts their high level of professionalism and reputation, the crew did not reflect it. If I wasn't a professional contractor myself, then this might have been a traumatic experience. And if I knew the crew and could have hired them directly, then I would have undoubtedly paid half as much... but then they might not have redone it 3 times (especially because I would have kicked them out after the second attempt). I never asked for a discount, and one was certainly never offered. I'm leaving 2 stars because on Yelp that means it "could've been better" but for the price I paid to go with the "pros" I regret not giving one of the other bidders a chance.

KNOTS FLOORING SAVED MY FLOORS AND MY SANITY!!!…read more I can't put into words how amazing this company is and I wholeheartedly recommend them! In November 2025, I sought bids to have hard wood floors put in a bedroom I am converting into a pantry and to have my existing kitchen and entryway refinished so that everything would match and I would have ample time for the floors to cure before the pantry installation. Knots Flooring was one of the companies that came to bid the work but I ended up using another company and it was one of the biggest mistakes I've ever made in my life. After two other companies came out and totally botched three refinishing jobs, I had to swallow my pride and reach back out to Knots Flooring for help. Athena was so lovely and gracious when I reached out to her to apologize for not using them and when I admitted that I really messed up but I needed their help desperately. Regardless of my poor decision making, they didn't hesitate for one second to come to my rescue. My pantry installation was scheduled to start on February 10th and despite the short notice, Knots flooring put me on their schedule immediately so I could keep the timeline for my project while allowing ample time for the job to be done well and for the floors to cure. Not only were Athena and Danny amazing and reassuring, I can't say enough about what a phenomenal job Renato and Julio (Cesar) did with my floors and the care and respect they exhibited for my house by taping everything off, removing my baseboards that were messed up by the other companies, securing my house, the incredible clean-up afterward, and all the little things they did to make my floors look beautiful and exactly what I was hoping for. If you're thinking about getting floors installed or refinishing your floors, don't waste your time taking bids from other companies, hire Knots Flooring immediately!

The install team was polite, clean, and efficient. Here is where things went wrong. During the install, I noticed that the product used for the stairs requires two pieces and the colors didn't match. I pointed this out to the install team. They said this is relatively normal and showed me pictures of other installs that experienced the same issue. My first thoughts were, "Why wasn't I told about this by the salesperson?" and "I wouldn't have chosen this product if I had known." The install team explained that there is a way to use only one product for the stairs, but it requires some custom work. My wife and I loved the idea and immediately agreed to go that direction. The install team contacted our salesperson, and they started the process of getting approvals to complete the work. When we asked the salesperson if they knew about the color difference, they said they didn't know about it or they would have told us. I'm thinking, "Why wouldn't the install team and the product vendor communicate to the sales team that the colors don't match?" That's a pretty big process breakdown. After a week of waiting for confirmation that the custom work would be done, we were informed by the store manager that they needed to talk to the product vendor, get samples shipped, arrange compensation to Carpet Exchange for the cost of the custom work, etc., but it should all be done in 3 weeks. At this point, we had already waited a month--what's 3 more weeks, right? Except, it's been three weeks and work hasn't even begun. Why? Because Carpet Exchange requires that you pay in full before the product is installed. Since they received our payment 2 months ago, they have no incentive to complete this work with any sense of urgency. It doesn't matter to them that we can't use our basement now. The other trades that need to come in after the flooring is done (drywall, paint, millwork, cabinets, finishes, etc.) have now removed us from their scheduling because they got tired of us asking for another week, then another week, while Carpet Exchange holds us hostage. What should have been a 3-day installation has now been ongoing for two months with no end in sight. The communication from Carpet Exchange has been lackluster, often requiring us to track down the manager just to get another vague reassurance.
