He also installed new MDF for the stair risers (not painted yet in photo since they don't handle painting). Floor has no creaks in the rooms/hallway and looks beautiful. Pricing was fair and the best I could find in the area, and they were good about removing the costs for anything I handled myself (I removed old carpet and LVP, etc.) even though there were a handful of staples I wasn't able to pull myself from the stair risers. Just one word of warning, make sure you measure your floor space yourself--their measurements for the work were off by about 50 square feet, which would have made a big difference in the number of boxes of material I had to purchase. I think this was probably accidental from them including the bathrooms but given that _every_ floorer I spoke to provided inaccurate estimates it's best to just do the measuring/math yourself.

A+ was the first place we called and they were very quick with their response. We had an estimate the next morning and I felt they quoted us very fairly and competitively (I only have prices of other friend's jobs to compare to). They also gave us a deal to remove our carpet for free. The floors are original and are 50+ years old. These guys did a remarkable job restoring the floors and we can't believe how amazing it looks in our home now -- a completely different space to build out our nest. The job took a bit longer than expected but some of it was out of their control. Sometimes patience pays off for a job done right. There were some missed spots and areas that needed additional work and Larry (the owner) came out personally to fix those for us. Definitely would recommend their services!

We vetted several companies and decided to go with ASA Flooring for several reasons: 1) Responsiveness. Bryan was quick to get back to my inquiry and was at the house to assess the project within a day. 2) Knowledgeable. Our refrigerator had leaked and warped several boards. Bryan explained the pros and cons of board replacement vs letting the boards dry out. We went with the latter and saved money. We had another challenge in the fact that we did not have two rooms refinished which meant seamless color matching. Alfredo was an artist and had an eye for selecting the perfect match. Although the final decision was ours, his experience was a definite help. 3) Efficient. The whole process from start to finish only took three days. We used the opportunity for a little vacation in the mountains and came home to beautiful floors! 4) Professional. Kevin, the project manager, came the weekend before to assess the job site and answer any questions. Alberto hung plastic and taped off the areas to reduce dust and vacuumed any remaining dust before the final coat. It has been two years now since they installed a luxury laminate tile floor in my kitchen and it is…read morenot lasting. I asked for it to be glued down, tiles selected had instructions for gluing but they were not followed. I was not told during the project the installer was not gluing them down per instructions until the project was done. I am now having to consider replacing it since the floor pops and snaps when we walk on it. I also just discovered that when the trim they removed was replaced the caulk used was kitchen caulk (not paintable) so I had to scrape it off and redo it.

The project started off very good. They removed carpet in three areas and replaced it with…read morehardwood flooring that matched our existing flooring. They did a very good job on this. You can't tell what was the old flooring and the new flooring. They also did a great job on the stairs (removed carpet and replace with oak steps. During the project the team was very good to work with. Their team moved our heavy items onto the garage which was very nice of them to do so. We also liked the way the taped off a sanded part of the floor and put 6 staining we picked out so we could see how each looked on the floor. this was a great help in determining which stain we liked most. Junior and team were great to work with and did a few extra things which ended up looking great. The team was very personable and professional. However, there were three main issues we had after the job was done and we had an opportunity to look closer at the quality of the staining and followup: 1) They didn't tape the baseboard to prevent stain or final coating from getting on the baseboard. There were many spots on the baseboard that had stain on it. I tried to wipe the stain off but it was on to stay. We had planned to have the interior painted next year but had to move that schedule up to right after the flooring was done so the baseboard liked nice. The paining company (Colorado Painting) did an excellent job and the baseboard looks great now. If you use Gold Hardwood flooring insist they tape the baseboard before staining. 2) They do not do a good job with corners. We have 5 corners that look bad because they didn't do a good job sanding and staining them (there were a few spots which were not corners where the stain didn't take but the majority of issues were corners). I understand corners require manual sanding and staining which is time consuming but these spots are not a quality finished product. These spots were originally fine looking before this job and now they don't look like a professional did the work. If you have Gold do your floors make sure you check all the corners before final payment. 3) We were told we could have them come out (within reason of course) if we found any issues. We called on an issue we found (bad staining not in a corner but in front of the fireplace) and they come out and tried to fix it but they couldn't because they said the wood wouldn't take a stain (they manually sanded the spot and re-stained but it didn't improve). This was odd because that spot looked fine before the job so the wood took the stain when the builders put the hardwood floor in. As you can imagine, we had to have everything out of the area being worked on. As we started to put things back we noticed many corners that didn't look good. I sent Gold an email (with pictures) asking them to come back and see what could be done with them. I did get one reply saying a picture with a stain dot was done by the painters and I replied that the painters didn't use stain. I also got a reply saying I would contacted on Monday to set up a time. This is now Thursday and I haven't heard anything from him. At this point, we'll probably just live with what it is. Thankfully many of the spots aren't in a high traffic area so they aren't easily seen by others.

After connecting with Simply Floors early 2026 because of the shredding carpet and after a couple of inspections and coordination with the manufacturer of the carpet, I now have the replacement installed (June 1, 2026). The installation was a good process this time and the carpet will most likely hold up very well. Good installation, done within a reasonable time frame and confirmation of details beforehand was achieved. Would have given 5 stars if this was how it went in the beginning. Although I wouldn't recommend one company over another, I would recommend solid communication with all involved, especially with the install crew and company together so everyone is on the same page from the beginning and not just futile lip service. Follow-up inquiries are also important. Would I work with this company again---probably, since they came through with corrections.

If I wasn't on site during the job there would have been huge mistakes. There was a request for extra flooring that was an agreed part of the contract that was ignored until I threatened to delay payment. That was finally resolved after several weeks (after much complaining from them afterwards) It should have been taken care of when the flooring was ordered. All in all after a ton work on my end I got what I needed but not without a ton of hassle and ZERO customer support.
