This company was recommended by my realtor, so I had faith I would have a good experience. They told me installation would take 3-5 days so I rented a hotel room for the duration as my condo is very small. I came in to check the first day and they had most of it done, which was great. They never came back. When they called for the rest of my payment, they promised to send someone out to fix it, no one came on the day we scheduled, so they said they would send someone out again. The person they said the would send was replaced by someone else. That person fixed what he thought was wrong and walked out of my house. At no point in time did anyone from management come to see the product or ask if I was satisfied. They didn't even bother to sweep off my deck where they sawed the flooring. Then, without calling to get my authorization, they charged my card for the balance.

Caulking messed up our new paint because they weren't able to finish the floors on schedule

We'd give them a B on the floors and a C for communication. The floors looked good the first time and not as good after returning to fix some issues. After the third or fourth trip to fix we didn't want them coming back. No one checked with us that the fixes were satisfactory. The worst part was paying $1600 extra to finish the steps; in the end the gaps in the wood were filled with poop colored caulking, messily done and questionable on durability. We would not recommend them.

Came to leave a raving review, I just saw all the negative ones, lol. Good thing it went amazing! Demitri came today and installed floors they turned out gorgeous! See pics for proof! Maybe this company is bad at refinishing but they have excellent wood choices and high quality choices that I did not find at other places. So they installed this floor in place of carpet, they did it quickly and I was super happy! Wahoo!

Carpet/threshold poorly done.

A-Plus - - More like C-Minus The job was done adequately but far from highest quality and attention. The overall inattentiveness to details, which I would expect from a professional installer, is the reason for my low rating. To wit: * Subflooring was not evaluated for stability or levelness. Instability was not corrected. Therefore, the new flooring is not flat, base molding has significant gaps which needed filling, and the flooring creaks. Crude efforts at leveling the subflooring were attempted using a wrecking bar. A carpenter's level or more modern device was never used. * New threshold abutting old carpeting sloppily done (see photo). * New threshold abutting previous flooring not level (see photo). * All planks not carefully abutted - therefore spaces present (see photo). * Left over flooring planks not left with me despite specific request to do so. * Cleanup haphazard - glue remaining on planking. The owner/project manager, Larry, who came out after I registered my complaints took no responsibility and blamed all problems on the house. He would not acknowledge that inspection and correction of any subflooring problems were an expected part of the installer's responsibilities. On the one hand, he noted that the area involved with creaking was too big to be fixed after installation but too small to be detected before installation. So the problem was either too big or too small- take your pick. In either case, problems of creaking subflooring would have been difficult to detect with a compressor going. No offers of a discount were made, though I made my dissatisfaction clear.

We vetted several companies and decided to go with ASA Flooring for several reasons: 1) Responsiveness. Bryan was quick to get back to my inquiry and was at the house to assess the project within a day. 2) Knowledgeable. Our refrigerator had leaked and warped several boards. Bryan explained the pros and cons of board replacement vs letting the boards dry out. We went with the latter and saved money. We had another challenge in the fact that we did not have two rooms refinished which meant seamless color matching. Alfredo was an artist and had an eye for selecting the perfect match. Although the final decision was ours, his experience was a definite help. 3) Efficient. The whole process from start to finish only took three days. We used the opportunity for a little vacation in the mountains and came home to beautiful floors! 4) Professional. Kevin, the project manager, came the weekend before to assess the job site and answer any questions. Alberto hung plastic and taped off the areas to reduce dust and vacuumed any remaining dust before the final coat. It was nearly dust free! 5) Follow up: Kevin did the final walk through with us to make sure we were satisfied. I'd highly recommend ASA Flooring for your next hardwood floor project!

I asked for it to be glued down, tiles selected had instructions for gluing but they were not followed. I was not told during the project the installer was not gluing them down per instructions until the project was done. I am now having to consider replacing it since the floor pops and snaps when we walk on it. I also just discovered that when the trim they removed was replaced the caulk used was kitchen caulk (not paintable) so I had to scrape it off and redo it.

They provided us with several gym flooring options and took the time to explain the differences between them. They were especially knowledgeable when it came to the challenges of leveling our basement floor and clearly explained the different options for preparing and leveling the floor before installing the gym flooring. Their expertise made the process and decision-making much easier. The finished gym floor looks great, and we're very happy with the results. The entire process was smooth, and the team did a great job. We would definitely recommend Simply Floors to anyone looking for quality flooring and a knowledgeable, professional team!

After connecting with Simply Floors early 2026 because of the shredding carpet and after a couple of inspections and coordination with the manufacturer of the carpet, I now have the replacement installed (June 1, 2026). The installation was a good process this time and the carpet will most likely hold up very well. Good installation, done within a reasonable time frame and confirmation of details beforehand was achieved. Would have given 5 stars if this was how it went in the beginning. Although I wouldn't recommend one company over another, I would recommend solid communication with all involved, especially with the install crew and company together so everyone is on the same page from the beginning and not just futile lip service. Follow-up inquiries are also important. Would I work with this company again---probably, since they came through with corrections.

As one of the other reviewers said, these guys use subcontractors of varying quality. They had to…read morerefinish the floor 3 times because the owner insisted on sending the same crew back each time (which makes sense if using a fixed-price sub - keeps their profit intact). I communicated my concerns professionally (and almost apologetically) with the owner as we went, but I'm not sure that any of them were addressed directly with the crew - rather they were just given basic instructions at the start of each day to fix the problems from the last go 'round. I'll give them credit for trying to make it right, and the floor looks a lot better than it did when they started, but it still wasn't 100% at the end and they didn't want to listen to any more complaints. A list of items specific issues that as far as I can tell were never communicated back to the crew: - The first thing the crew leader did was take a dump in my bathroom, without asking, and made this a daily ritual. - They didn't bother to cover anything up before sanding - no sheathing between rooms, no covers over the vents - so dust was everywhere in the house. At least I had the good sense to turn off the HVAC, but still had to change the air filters several times before they finished the job. - They sanded/buffed the carpet, trashing it where the carpet meets the hardwood. - Stain was applied in some places across grain / boards rather than same direction leading to stripes (1st attempt), and inconsistently leading to dark splotches (2nd attempt). - They used my ladder (from the garage) without asking. - They left gobs of topcoat around trim and puddling elsewhere. - They did not take the time to use filler properly after the second attempt - there are dark spots around nails, knots, and where sanding was rough. - Hand sanding was quite rough in several areas leading to dark stain, especially around trim, cabinets, toilet, etc. And they didn't thoroughly clean or screen before coating in several places, leading to dirt and debris in the finish. - Stain spatter was left on the wall from brush work and flinging wet towels. The sinks were a left an absolute mess. - There was no real cleanup to speak of and patches of grass are dead in the front yard where they cleaned stain off their tools and equipment. - The "suicide cord" they were using to connect to 240V was a fire and safety hazard. After attempting to share my last round of concerns (not asking for them to redo it again but rather just trying to share some of the issues for future improvement), Anthony told me to stop looking so closely and asked, "You gonna blast us on the internet?" indicating his level of concern. For a website that touts their high level of professionalism and reputation, the crew did not reflect it. If I wasn't a professional contractor myself, then this might have been a traumatic experience. And if I knew the crew and could have hired them directly, then I would have undoubtedly paid half as much... but then they might not have redone it 3 times (especially because I would have kicked them out after the second attempt). I never asked for a discount, and one was certainly never offered. I'm leaving 2 stars because on Yelp that means it "could've been better" but for the price I paid to go with the "pros" I regret not giving one of the other bidders a chance.
