Liz and team went above and beyond to obtain an older (less than a year old) version of LPV. The current version doesn't fit with the older version that was installed in our home 9 months ago. Their distributor initially sent them the wrong ones but they worked to get this corrected quickly and it was very seamless for me. Do NOT give this company your business. We live close by and have several jobs that need to be done at 3 separate houses. We hired Arvada Flooring hoping to give a local business lots of business. Now we search not only for another company to do the other jobs but eventually a company to come in and fix what they just did. Please do not make the same mistake. Go on Nextdoor in the Arvada area (as I wish we would have done prior to hiring them) you will see people, like me, who have suffered the SAME issues with this unprofessional, incompetent, poor quality company They make promises they can't keep. Last fall we had a plumbing backup that caused significant water damage to all three floors of our house. We were recommended a restoration company by our insurance company, but we felt like their proposal had a lot of fluff in it, so we decided to open up the bid for the repair work to a few other vendors including AFC. We ultimately chose AFC because we had the most confidence in them in terms of being flexible and working with our needs, and most importantly getting the work done and done well (at a competitive price). We had a LOT of work to get done on our house, and given the magnitude of what we were trying to do there were bumps along the way, but whenever we had an issue come up they were always accommodating in getting it resolved in a timely and reasonable manner. AFC has just completed all of the work we asked of them, and the final product is stellar - particularly the complicated tile work. Ayu was our installer and he was unbelievably hard working (and most importantly, our dogs loved him. We have some additional work we want to get done later on this year, and AFC will be our first choice to doing that work. read more

Hired Arvada Flooring Company to put stone on my fireplace, install a new mantle, replace backsplash in my kitchen and replace the carpet on stairs and change carpet to wood look tile upstairs. They were a pleasure to work with. Showed up on time for every part of the project, even worked the weekend to finish. Their installers were amazing, polite, professional and were a pleasure to have in the house all day. Customer service: Today I called the Arvada location spoke with "Melissa" requesting to speak with Josh (installer) was unavailable and Liz was off too. I said there is an additional step needing be done to remove the haze off our tile from using an epoxy grout. Furthermore, advised her of the recommended product that was needed and suggested to come pick it up and do it ourselves. Melissa said we don't carry the product and stated "it's Josh's company doing the work and he will have to take care of it." I explained in the past I have spoke with Tanya the owner and she has been able to assist. After suggesting to contact Tanya, Melissa said "Tanya can't help you" and never bothered to take a message either. Her tone of voice was rude, hurtful and disrespectful. I would hope she never-ever speaks to anyone on the phone or someone who walks into Arvada Flooring the way she spoke to me. Her attitude and tone of voice is a poor reflection on Arvada Flooring. I would only hope this review provides an educational opportunity for Melissa on how to speak respectfully with customers. Tanya-Owner and Josh-Installer have always done their best and appreciate Josh always contacting us in a timely manner. I did business twice with Arvada West Decorating & Flooring this spring, for a porcelain tile floor in my laundry room and powder bath, and then new carpet for my whole second floor -- four bedrooms and a hall. I like to spend my money locally, and keep it in the community, whenever I can. I also like to buy American-made whenever I can. This is a small locally-owned family business, but their selection of all kinds of flooring products is huge, and their prices are competitive. Scheduling was easy. Communication was thorough and prompt. We finished on time and budget in both cases. Daniel the tile man and Sean the carpet installer each did beautiful work, showed up when they were supposed to and were nice as could be. I would readily invite either of these craftsmen back into my home anytime. read more

Our home needed some upgrades after living with a dog and two cats for a dozen years. We wanted a local contractor, and we wanted a business with a storefront. So many contractors these days are gypsies that are easy to contact for new business, but can't be reached when you have a problem. We chose Matt and his team at Arvada West Decorating & Flooring. This is a multi-generation family business with a history in the Denver/Arvada area. They have to generate word-of-mouth business in an industry that relies on meticulous service. That's not easy, but these folks really deliver. There were a lot of upgrades we considered, and Matt worked patiently with us to decide which ones we wanted to do now within the budget we had. We had him replace all the floors, using a combination of a waterproof laminate product (I've had people on their hands and knees swearing it's wood) and rich carpeting, as well as all the baseboards in the house. The crew was amazing. Don & Sean handled the laminate and the carpeting respectively, and they brought in more hands when they needed them to shift furniture from one room to another. The painter for the baseboards, Roel, had a hard job scheduling between the carpeting and the laminate, but he made it work and did an amazing job. All the work the crew did was amazing, and despite shipping problems with the laminate product, they finished the job quickly. It's easy for detail-oriented craftspeople to do a great job when everything goes well. The true test is when there's a problem. The laminate manufacturer's standard nosepiece for stairs was too short and uncomfortable to walk on, something we could only know once it had been installed. We let Matt know we weren't happy with it (the man got an earful, believe me), and he worked with the manufacturer to get a deeper bullnose that made us happy. Don came back out to make the replacement as soon as the pieces came in, and he did an equally beautiful job the second time. This, THIS is why you choose a local company with a storefront. They care more about their business and pleasing clients. My wife and I heartily recommend Arvada West Decorating & Flooring. If you've been putting off your remodel because of trust issues, do yourself a favor and give Matt a call. He's very easy to work WITH, and if the crew he has is any indication, he must be easy to work FOR as well. read more

This review is for Liz (Store Manager) and Josh (Flooring installer) in particular. This place is brand new, trying to build up its business after buying out another flooring place that didn't do so well (from what I understand). one of their stated goals is focusing on increasing the quality of product, installation, and customer service. In this I believe they are greatly succeeding! My situation was not an easy one for them. I think it's easy to do well when everything runs smooth, but Arvada Flooring Company (henceforth AVC) did well, despite navigating some restocking issues and dealing with owners half a world away in New Zealand! Props to Liz for effectively communicating with my landlord who is working in New Zealand currently and myself to work out details, logistics, and scheduling. While dealing with us, AVC were going through restocking issues because they are updating ALL of their inventory from the previous company stock, because it did not meet their quality standards. I could tell there was some pain points around this, but they didn't let this pressure them into trying to make 'good enough' decisions, understanding that this was an important, long term decision for both my landlord and me. They wanted us to be truly happy with their product. Josh was respectful and communicative about the installation process. You can tell he takes great pride in his work by the attention to detail he provided. This is matched by his skill. He was able to get the lock together flooring boards to match up around a circuit (from hallway to bedroom to closet to adjoining bathroom back to the hallway) with zero gaps anywhere. All while moving the large furniture carefully around (stuff was inconvenient to move out of the rooms). No seriously, it looks flawless. But the real mark of his level of pride and integrity came right at the end. This part is maybe something only fellow builders will fully understand, but I think everyone can appreciate. There was a ding on one of the stair nosecaps. After cutting to size, it would still be barely part of the used piece and mostly seen only on the underside of the first stair. Looking from the top, you would not notice. Who looks under the lip of the first stair? No one. But he knew the imperfection was there and asked if he could replace the part as soon as a replacement was delivered. I like that the imperfection irked him. I also like that he asked if he could inconvenience me at a later date and not permanently install that step yet, so that he could make it in line with the quality of the rest of his work. Yes Josh, I'll take you up on that! Thank you AVC for seeking my satisfaction as well as the owner's! Sometimes renters opinions are ignored because they are not the ones paying (I also am thankful to my landlord for encouraging this). To anyone with the flexibility to work with a smaller, growing, local company, I cannot recommend AVC enough! Take advantage of their hunger to grow their business the right way! read more

We got new bedroom carpet here and love it! Good price on comfy Shaw class IV. They are friendly and professional. The guys who did the installation were awesome too. They showed up on time, finished quickly and cleaned up their mess before they left. I highly recommend this place. read more
