It was also very easy to schedule the work with their team, and they offer several payment options. The work will take 2 days FYI and is also weather dependent. It was pretty cold (but not snowing) when they did our garage. I would highly recommend them to anyone who wants their garage floors treated!

We had a problem, that was not the crew's fault, when our fridge ice maker line leaked after the application of the first finish coat. They were great and got it taken care of, re-sanding and refinishing the affected areas. The only issue was communication, especially early on. Be sure to coordinate with the managers so that the plans have been communicated to the crew before the work starts, and stay in touch with the managers. Once I engaged with them it was quite responsive , and most importantly the work is fantastic. We will be enjoying these floors for decades.

This is a follow-up to previous entries regarding the deteriorating (extra expensive) carpet I got…read morein November 2025. After connecting with Simply Floors early 2026 because of the shredding carpet and after a couple of inspections and coordination with the manufacturer of the carpet, I now have the replacement installed (June 1, 2026). The installation was a good process this time and the carpet will most likely hold up very well. Good installation, done within a reasonable time frame and confirmation of details beforehand was achieved. Would have given 5 stars if this was how it went in the beginning. Although I wouldn't recommend one company over another, I would recommend solid communication with all involved, especially with the install crew and company together so everyone is on the same page from the beginning and not just futile lip service. Follow-up inquiries are also important. Would I work with this company again---probably, since they came through with corrections.

As one of the other reviewers said, these guys use subcontractors of varying quality. They had to…read morerefinish the floor 3 times because the owner insisted on sending the same crew back each time (which makes sense if using a fixed-price sub - keeps their profit intact). I communicated my concerns professionally (and almost apologetically) with the owner as we went, but I'm not sure that any of them were addressed directly with the crew - rather they were just given basic instructions at the start of each day to fix the problems from the last go 'round. I'll give them credit for trying to make it right, and the floor looks a lot better than it did when they started, but it still wasn't 100% at the end and they didn't want to listen to any more complaints. A list of items specific issues that as far as I can tell were never communicated back to the crew: - The first thing the crew leader did was take a dump in my bathroom, without asking, and made this a daily ritual. - They didn't bother to cover anything up before sanding - no sheathing between rooms, no covers over the vents - so dust was everywhere in the house. At least I had the good sense to turn off the HVAC, but still had to change the air filters several times before they finished the job. - They sanded/buffed the carpet, trashing it where the carpet meets the hardwood. - Stain was applied in some places across grain / boards rather than same direction leading to stripes (1st attempt), and inconsistently leading to dark splotches (2nd attempt). - They used my ladder (from the garage) without asking. - They left gobs of topcoat around trim and puddling elsewhere. - They did not take the time to use filler properly after the second attempt - there are dark spots around nails, knots, and where sanding was rough. - Hand sanding was quite rough in several areas leading to dark stain, especially around trim, cabinets, toilet, etc. And they didn't thoroughly clean or screen before coating in several places, leading to dirt and debris in the finish. - Stain spatter was left on the wall from brush work and flinging wet towels. The sinks were a left an absolute mess. - There was no real cleanup to speak of and patches of grass are dead in the front yard where they cleaned stain off their tools and equipment. - The "suicide cord" they were using to connect to 240V was a fire and safety hazard. After attempting to share my last round of concerns (not asking for them to redo it again but rather just trying to share some of the issues for future improvement), Anthony told me to stop looking so closely and asked, "You gonna blast us on the internet?" indicating his level of concern. For a website that touts their high level of professionalism and reputation, the crew did not reflect it. If I wasn't a professional contractor myself, then this might have been a traumatic experience. And if I knew the crew and could have hired them directly, then I would have undoubtedly paid half as much... but then they might not have redone it 3 times (especially because I would have kicked them out after the second attempt). I never asked for a discount, and one was certainly never offered. I'm leaving 2 stars because on Yelp that means it "could've been better" but for the price I paid to go with the "pros" I regret not giving one of the other bidders a chance.

Update: It's now been 2 months since my wood floors have been resurfaced, and I'm very happy with…read morethe work. The crew brought out the natural wood grains, and they show beautifully. Also the hardener is fantastic.

Since we were never told what kind of warranty we were getting we decided to do our own research. first we found out the installation warranty they offer is only for one year, so if your carpet fails after less than 5 years like ours you are out of luck. It's interesting though that many other companies like carpet mill for example offer a 10 year warranty as well as several others who actually offer lifetime installation warranties. we also found out the carpet that we bought has a 20 year warranty. so beware if you buy carpet from Weaver carpets be informed of what warranties they offer.

It's honestly amazing how well the new wood blended with the old. I wanted a pretty specific look and I was really high maintenance about the color choice, but Brian and Eric were super patient with me and treated me with kindness and respect. These guys are SUPER knowledgable and they will tell you if your ideas will work or not, but on top of that, if your idea isn't going to work, they will have a better solution that will still get you the look you are going for, but with products they know will work. They have tested all the products out there and they know what works best. Trust their judgement. They seriously know what they are talking about. I ended up with a beautiful floor that I LOVE, and I'm so grateful to Weaver Carpets for making it happen.

Rather than acting with integrity, the business elected to tell a lie, as the project was likely not lucrative enough for them. There was brown liquid spilled on the cabinets and floors, paint spilled on the floors, stairs & countertops, outlet covers missing (still not found), painter's tape still stuck to the walls & baseboards, and sunflower seeds littered across EVERY single floor in the house (including the in the carpet and the bathtub). I am shocked at the way the house was left and how sloppy this was. This was not the condition that it was supposed to be left in. I had a showing the next morning so had to spend over 3 hours cleaning it. I contacted the manager about it and received a $275 discount. They did offer to come back over and "take care of these items" but I had no time to let them come back so I had to take care of it myself. For how much I paid to for this to be done I expected way more from this company. I will not be using this company again.

I've used FH Flooring on three projects (2 carpet jobs and 1 vinyl job). And I'd use them again. Both product and installation are top-notch. Each job gets professional treatment. Their business model goes something like this: During the estimate, you the customer get feedback from (1) an engineering/installation expert and (2) a design expert. This business model allows you to feel like a partner during the entire process--and it's particularly helpful for anyone new to flooring. About a year ago we hired Floors Free to take out carpet and put in hardwood floors in two rooms to match existing hardwood in our kitchen. Bryan and team also refinished the existing kitchen hardwood and stained all three rooms to match. The process was unbelievably smooth and the quote was extremely reasonable. Communication was easy and the project was done in no time, before we even moved in. The floors are beautiful and we remark all the time how they totally transformed our house. Bryan's team matched the existing hardwood perfectly - we actually can't remember where it started and stopped. The work is just fantastic and we plan to call Bryan again when we re-do some other flooring throughout the house. Then most recently, Bryan and his team put in our kitchen backsplash (previously we had an adhesive "tile" until we were ready for real tile). After initially starting work with another more expensive company that we fired (dodged a bullet!), we remembered that Bryan's company did tiling. We were so happy we contacted him and wished we had sooner - quote came back next day and we were able to get work scheduled within two weeks! Bryan told us his tile pro was an artist and he truly was. The work was clean and took much less than two days. Bryan worked with the tile we had previously purchased, and we supplied tile adhesive and the grout - we loved that we bought them ourselves and were not up-charged for supplies. Thomas the tile pro was in and out - he was so friendly and obviously proud of his work. We wouldn't hesitate to contact Bryan again for more work. Reasonable prices, easy to get ahold, completely flexible - great all around. Floors Free has taken our house from bland to beautiful!

Simple things like: how long will the one room job take, what time does the crew start and finish, can you please put down a protective cover on the newly installed floors that are in the rest of the house). Also, none hardwood floors in the rest of the house are glued down, why are you gluing them (we installed the same hardwood in another room, so we know how to install, just want to know what and why they are suggesting glue and how they proceed). I indicated I was ready to hire. They tell me they are available one week then come back and say a different week. The project started off very good. They removed carpet in three areas and replaced it with…read morehardwood flooring that matched our existing flooring. They did a very good job on this. You can't tell what was the old flooring and the new flooring. They also did a great job on the stairs (removed carpet and replace with oak steps. During the project the team was very good to work with. Their team moved our heavy items onto the garage which was very nice of them to do so. We also liked the way the taped off a sanded part of the floor and put 6 staining we picked out so we could see how each looked on the floor. this was a great help in determining which stain we liked most. Junior and team were great to work with and did a few extra things which ended up looking great. The team was very personable and professional. However, there were three main issues we had after the job was done and we had an opportunity to look closer at the quality of the staining and followup: 1) They didn't tape the baseboard to prevent stain or final coating from getting on the baseboard. There were many spots on the baseboard that had stain on it. I tried to wipe the stain off but it was on to stay. We had planned to have the interior painted next year but had to move that schedule up to right after the flooring was done so the baseboard liked nice. The paining company (Colorado Painting) did an excellent job and the baseboard looks great now. If you use Gold Hardwood flooring insist they tape the baseboard before staining. 2) They do not do a good job with corners. We have 5 corners that look bad because they didn't do a good job sanding and staining them (there were a few spots which were not corners where the stain didn't take but the majority of issues were corners). I understand corners require manual sanding and staining which is time consuming but these spots are not a quality finished product. These spots were originally fine looking before this job and now they don't look like a professional did the work. If you have Gold do your floors make sure you check all the corners before final payment. 3) We were told we could have them come out (within reason of course) if we found any issues. We called on an issue we found (bad staining not in a corner but in front of the fireplace) and they come out and tried to fix it but they couldn't because they said the wood wouldn't take a stain (they manually sanded the spot and re-stained but it didn't improve). This was odd because that spot looked fine before the job so the wood took the stain when the builders put the hardwood floor in. As you can imagine, we had to have everything out of the area being worked on. As we started to put things back we noticed many corners that didn't look good. I sent Gold an email (with pictures) asking them to come back and see what could be done with them. I did get one reply saying a picture with a stain dot was done by the painters and I replied that the painters didn't use stain. I also got a reply saying I would contacted on Monday to set up a time. This is now Thursday and I haven't heard anything from him. At this point, we'll probably just live with what it is. Thankfully many of the spots aren't in a high traffic area so they aren't easily seen by others.

Please beware when working with these guys. After meeting them at a home show and liking their…read moresamples, we invited them to our home show for an estimate. They were timely and appeared to show up as professionals. They walked around the house measuring like they knew what they were doing, but their "expertise" stopped there. Fortunately I still had the invoices from our last carpet installs because completely over bid our home. Their numbers included our approximately 1,000 sf of non-carpeted areas including wood floors and tiled bathrooms. When they initially told me their numbers and I pointed out how high they were, they acted like I didn't know what I was talking about. They still would not come down to meet the actual size of our home. So I don't know if they don't know how to measure a house to account for non-carpeted areas or if they were counting on me to be ignorant to completely over-charge us. Needless to say, we did not hire them. I just wanted to advise everyone to be mindful of what you have and pay attention to who you hire. Unfortunately there are plenty of people who want to capitalize on your lack of knowledge.
