We hired Dan to do a tile job for us in Greenwood Village. I will say that up front his prices were fair BUT and there is a big but. His first upcharge came when he asked for more money for the kitchen backsplash. His reasoning was that he assumed the backsplash was a manufactured brick and not an actual brick veneer. We never discussed manufactured brick. I told him from the beginning it was a brick veneer and his proposal says "brick veneer" on it. We ended up paying him extra for this even though that was his mistake. But that's not the worst of it. When I asked when he'd be returning to the job he responded with an updated proposal with increased pricing for all remaining scope of work. When I asked him why the increase, his response was that all his prices are going up and he said because "He's the boss", see attached text communication. I'd steer clear of this company, there are many more reputable contractors out there who will honor their prices. read more

I called Dan and left a VM he called me back within an hour, we scheduled a time for him to come review the project and give me a bid for both bathrooms. His work is exceptional, couldn't be happier with the results of the tile layout for the floors and showers, perfectly straight grout lines and patterns. Dan is very skilled at what he does. He also set the new vanities, hooked up the new faucets, shower heads and set the new toilets and managed all of the demo and trash haul away. We HIGHLY recommend Dan and Mile High Master Tile. We wanted to have the tile around our bathtub replaced. So, we purchased the tile we wanted and then began the daunting task of finding a decent tile person to install it for us - a small project in a booming construction economy. We were prepared for the worst, but were still optimistic! We called Dan and left a voice mail message. Within a few hours, he called us back! We were shocked! Dan was very busy and booked out about 3 weeks, but he was very professional so we described the job and he gave us a reasonable quote. Well, Dan managed to work us into his schedule and was able to do the job the following week. He was clean, he showed up on time, he kept his commitments, he finished in 2 days, and he was an OUTSTANDING tile artisan. We needed to have the laminate ripped out and put down some decent tile in our two small bathrooms. I called up Mile High and gave the dimensions from other estimates' work, and he gave me a really reasonable, and actually a pretty fabulous quote. We were able to hire him remotely and everything went smoothly. We provided the tile and he finished the job over two days. He cleaned up all of the laminate mess and the tile looks great. It would be nice if he actually acted like he cared about potential customers. I reached out to him based on his reviews. First he asked where we were located. When I gave him my answer, he responded by telling me he was completely booked for the summer. If you were really booked out for the summer, why didn't you say so in the first place? Why even ask where we are located? You just didn't want to do the job in our area. You probably would have had to drive too far. Well, if you aren't willing to drive a little for work, then I don't trust that you ever would have done a decent job on our tiling project anyway. read more

We live in SE Denver and have had Dan and Rubin work on our kitchen remodel in 2013 and it looks great, see my previous post. Just wanted to say that we had an awesome experience with Dan. We needed a bathroom tiled that we are in the middle of remodeling. He gave us a very fair price and did excellent work.
