Gabriel did an amazing job renovating my master bathroom in my condo. From the demo, to the tile, to the fixtures and all the other parts, Gabriel was great at working with me and getting the job done. Even when I decided to change from a shower only to a bathtub installation, Gabriel was able to accommodate the change and adjust the work order without issue or hesitation. He did a great job installing the tile, and even went above and beyond when some floor tile needed to be removed from one area and added to another area to accommodate a vanity with less depth than the previous one. Installing all the new bathroom components, including a new toilet, vanity, tub, shower hardware and light figure were all done to perfection. Gabriel was very professional, clean and neat, stuck to the budget, and provided all receipts for the out of pocket items he purchased. As well, he was great at working with me to help make decisions when I wasn't sure what to do on certain things. Our project was a new shower stall and pan in a condominium which was occupied by a rental tenant. We contacted Gabriel with a request to "make our tiny bathroom the most awesome it could possibly be" with a complete fresh start, including: new (heated) flooring, new tiled walls and shower with niche shelving, new toilet, new bathtub with new shower fixtures that required some plumbing rearrangement, and new lighting. He was easy to work with throughout the project and quick to respond to questions about what materials to purchase, he also fixed all of the big issues that were left from the previous renovation (no backer board under tile, poor toilet plumbing connections, etc), and proved a trustworthy person to work in our home while we had to live elsewhere during the project, and stayed on time and within the proposed budget. We recently needed to renovate our small bathroom in an old (1890's) building and after attempting it myself I found myself way in over my head. I got a few quotes from various contractors but none of them seemed to fit the bill. We are happy to say that Gabe did a wonderful job remodeling our bathroom. We had him completely gut out the bathroom which had a tub/shower combo and install a walk-in shower. He had to re-position and install a new drain in the center of the floor, run additional pipes to the other side of the shower because we wanted dual shower heads, and he installed the shower valves and adjusted as necessary. We also asked him to build us a niche and a bench in the shower and they both turned out amazing! He tiled the entire shower up to the ceiling and framed in a knee wall which will have custom glass installed above it on Tuesday along with a custom shower door. (The glass companies said he did a great job also!) He installed tile all the way around the bathroom sort of like a wainscoting so that we won't ever have to paint behind the toilet again and if we should choose to put in a pedestal sink one day, the walls will be finished. He removed and replaced our toilet (and some bad wood on the sub-floor), vanity, sink, over the toilet cabinet and mirror. On the electrical portion of work, he added a water proof can light in the shower, removed and installed a new vent fan with light, and he installed a new vanity light. With these changes came drywall repairs which were completed as well. We wanted an additional electrical socket on the other side of the mirror so he added another GFCI socket there and installed new rocker switches so that each light and the fan have their own switch. I also wanted to have our old texture covered up and retextured with a knockdown finish which he did. All in all, this was a very pleasant experience and Gabe showed up on time every day until the job was complete, and we were happy. Trust me, we had a lot of other contractors out to provide us quotes and we truly believe we made the best choice going with CG Renovations. We hope this recommendation will put your mind at ease to work with Gabe. He is a good, honest, hardworking man and if I ever need this type of work in the future he will be the only call I make. Gabe is simply the best! We had him completely remodel our recently-purchased condo kitchen and 2 bathrooms, and he did a superb job. He opened up our kitchen by removing a wall with a small passthrough and it looks gorgeous. All the tile work including bathroom tub and shower tiles, bathroom and kitchen floor tiles and kitchen backsplash was beautifully done. We got a wall mount vanity from Ikea which required a plumbing hook-up that didn't quite match our plumbing configuration. Gabe figured out how to install the whole unit and adapt the plumbing, and it looks beautiful and works great. He is very easy to work with and did everything we asked with great patience, even when we modified the plans. He is reliable, fair and honest, and his charges are very reasonable.
