We used CH&D to redo our master bathroom and expand our closet and we are absolutely in love with the final result. We live in a 1915 craftsman home in Denver and space and storage were our main challenges. Out of all of the design companies we consulted, they were the only ones who could develop a plan to increase storage without expanding the footprint of the house or substantially limiting the space from another room. They walked us through every step of their process so there would be no surprises and took time to do things right, even if it meant adding extra time to the schedule. You never know what you're going to encounter with an old home until you start demolition and their employees made sure to consult with us on any of their findings and suggestions to ensure the final outcome was the best possible. They were open to reusing as many original materials from the house as well, including converting the original bathroom door to a pocket door due to our tight layout, and salvaging the original hardwood under the bathroom tile to fill in the threshold and spots in our closet where the floor was torn up for other projects. We've done many renos ourselves and know just how messy construction can be. We were amazed at the level of care and preparation the team took to protect our space and contain the construction dust to the working area. All of the workers who came through were kind and understanding when we asked them to be mindful of our dog and fence gate as they came in and out. We worked with Gina, Jamin, and Jose to renovate our bathroom and completely redesign and renovate our kitchen. The planning and design process was smooth. Gina was very helpful and patient as we thought through our options and we appreciated the line by line estimates for both materials and labor, which helped us to prioritize what we wanted done and stay within our budget. The project timeline was 8-12 weeks, and we were very close to that 12 week mark. They order all the materials ahead of time, so there aren't holdups waiting on some small item to arrive. We did move out during construction and the only communication was via a group text thread, which was frustrating at times. We had to ask certain questions multiple times and there was some miscommunication throughout. In the end, the results were amazing. Our kitchen and bathroom both look great, and we are very happy with the results! We have had to reach out about a few small fixes, and most of those things have already been sorted out.
