We LOVE the counter tops, HOWEVER, the seams were not filled properly and there is glue stuck inside my new sink that that I cannot get out. Sure, my fault, should have held payment until it was addressed. Life gets busy, so a few years later I called, more than once, to finally get it addressed. Left messages, then only could get responses by emailing the "info" email address and they quoted $300 to come to fix the seams. Sorry, not acceptable and we cancelled. We are going to have quartz installed in all four bathrooms, but we'll go elsewhere. Funny thing, the owner was all over us when we were buying, but have not heard from him AT ALL about this. The only other advice I would offer is to NOT get the touch faucet unless it is "hard wired", as the battery life isn't great. read more

Sadly, like many companies today, Counter Culture's service standards and ethics seem to have gone downhill over the last year. Blame it on COVID, perhaps. People in the construction trades are overwhelmed and tired today, but rather than turn business away, many have allowed their standards to slip a little, or a lot. It seems that some are even taking advantage of the fact that customers working on home projects are lined up out the door, so companies know they can get away with a few extra errors, extended wait times, or even a questionable business practice or two. If customers are paying attention, and complain, well, what's the loss of one or two when there's plenty of new business to fill the void? Unfortunately, it appears that this industry-wide malaise has caught hold at Counter Culture as well. Counter Culture was a great company, and it could be again, but something is just a bit off today, and that raises concerns that any customer with high standards may want to consider. No need to bad mouth anyone in particular. It just seems that this company's "slippage," in multiple areas, is something that potential customers should be aware of. I just hope they can get their act together before too many good customers walk away. But, doing business with service firms that have lost their way is not a wise idea either. read more

I responded almost immediately, sent over all of my information, and said any day, anytime. Someone is there working from home, we're available. No response. I messaged again three days later. I would not recommend Counter Culture based on my experience. I had the countertops replaced and backsplash installed in my condo's small kitchen. I was told it would take 1-2 days for countertop demo and install, and 1-2 days for backsplash. It ended up taking SEVEN WEEKS to have this job only mostly completed. This included 12 different days of coordination and other people in my home (I do not work from home so this was not easy). On almost every occasion, the CC employee showed up multiple hours after the time we had agreed on. If that wasn't enough... our backsplash was installed incorrectly. This meant I had to buy additional backsplash materials at my own expense due to CC's error. I relayed that the backsplash needed to be fixed to CC and explained that I was having our kitchen professionally painted and needed all of their work to be completed before the painting. I didn't think this was a huge ask because the painters weren't scheduled until 4 weeks after the initial backsplash install. Instead of prioritizing their error and working to address it, I was cancelled on multiple times, including one day when the tile installer just didn't show up or respond to any calls or texts. CC was not able to fix the backsplash before the kitchen was painted, leaving me with damaged walls and the need for additional painting. read more

I had a metal framed coffee table that I love the shape of but the top had a gross amount of wear and tear. I reached out to Regina at Counter Culture and she helped me find a new table top that I just love. I got to shop around the remnants in the warehouse and pick out the perfect piece. I brought the coffee table and they fit it to size. Not only was it cost effective but the whole process didn't take more than three days. The customer service was fantastic and I just love the end result. It's got me looking around my house trying to figure out what other projects I can make up! read more

This is a great countertop company. Fantastic service and attention to detail. Wayne is the owner and he personally comes out to every job to make sure it is done right. Regina and Jesse are the office staff and they handle logistics, scheduling, etc. All three people go the extra yard to make sure you know exactly what to expect, from beginning to end. We had a large, old Formica countertop removed and replace with a nice Quartz countertop made by Pental (who has a great showroom in Aurora, BTW). We also had our old, cast iron sink replaced with a high-tech granite-based sink made by Blanco. The results were stunning and we could not be more happy! There was a small problem with the sink about 3 weeks after install, but Wayne came out (the Same Day we called) to fix the problem! Thanks to everyone for all their help. Great job!! read more

Our new quartz countertops are gorgeous! Regina and Jessica in the office are great to work with, and let us take a couple rounds of samples home to mull over. As they say on their website, their showroom is small, but even then, they had all the samples and knowledge we needed to make a good decision. They let us know that certain suppliers sell half slabs, which helped us save money because we needed more than one slab, but buying two slabs would have driven the price beyond our budget. They helped us get the best price--we had shopped around and this was by far the best price we found. When it came time for installation, we had a couple hiccups with the seam and a plumbing connection leaking. Regina and the owner, Wayne, personally made sure both issues were solved quickly and to our satisfaction, and didn't take final payment until the job was 100% done. read more

We had Counter Culture come over to cut our counter tops to fit a new sink we bought for our kitchen. Wayne came over to do the cuts. After he was done and left, I noticed that when the sink was in place, there were large gaps on 3 corners between the sink and the counter tops! He had totally messed up our counter! Being young and naive with no experience in this kind of situation before, I paid in cash and failed to get an invoice from him (totally my own fault there). However, when we tried to call and get an invoice or have someone return to fix the issue, they never returned our calls. Not only did they do a terrible job, but they took advantage of us and that is not a respectable business. Don't waste your time here if you want quality work from quality people. In the midst of a total kitchen remodel, Wayne Hileman and the team at Counter Culture provided excellent work at a very reasonable price. When we started our search for a quartz countertops, we looked everywhere from design centers to chain home improvement stores, but we weren't able to find nice countertops or get good direction there. In fact, the process began to feel overwhelming and frustrating. When we visited the small but well laid-out showroom at Counter Culture, we talked about general ideas and Wayne indicated he'd come to our home with samples when the remodel process was further along. He also gave us some background in their decades-long experience fabricating and installing countertops. When we were ready, he brought a complete set of samples out from several manufacturers, and helped us select one which turned out just beautifully in our house. To our very pleasant surprise, he actually completed the installation that very week! I could not be more thrilled with the service I received, and the price came very close to estimates we were receiving from chain stores who represent lower quality products, and could never arrange to have samples brought to our home or provide the high level of detail and guidance during the installation process.
