Sure, my fault, should have held payment until it was addressed. Life gets busy, so a few years later I called, more than once, to finally get it addressed. We are going to have quartz installed in all four bathrooms, but we'll go elsewhere. Funny thing, the owner was all over us when we were buying, but have not heard from him AT ALL about this. The only other advice I would offer is to NOT get the touch faucet unless it is "hard wired", as the battery life isn't great.

From estimate to install was exactly 5-weeks but ONLY because I personally acted as the project manager for this job and was extremely proactive in calling and following up. I can imagine this process taking much longer if someone was not actively managing the project timeline. Picking out the remnant piece on-site and getting a price estimate was the easy part. The rest of the process was quite painful due to their complete lack of communication. Ordering the granite in-person on-site at the 8th ave location took some time. Laying out the my kitchen measurements to fit the remnant piece I selected with pencil and paper rather than a computer program. 50% deposit due at signing and then.....crickets from StoneCrafters. Waited over a week with no phone call or follow up. I had to call to get the laser template appointment set up for the following week. Template guy was on time and said he'd submit the measurements that day. And then.....crickets from StoneCrafters. I had to follow up after another week to see what the next steps were. Take my money, I want to get this counter installed. They said they would call me to set it up. They did call me later that week and scheduled me for a Monday install. They called me back the following week to confirm Wednesday install (what?) and collect the remaining deposit. I explained I would not have scheduled Wednesday because I wasn't going to be in town and that was a mistake. Nice try though. They were able to fit us in for a Monday install but the installers were supposed to show up between 3-5p and they showed up at 6:30p. They were obviously overscheduled. Again, calling StoneCrafters to find out where the installers were and why they were late after hours was very frustrating. After disappointing experiences with a number of other fabricators over the last few years (oh, the…read morestories!), DMK Marble & Granite was finally recommended to me by trusted friends who had just completed a project with them. After initially encountering a few minor hiccups, Daniel, the owner, escalated my small, but detail-oriented projects and began to oversee them personally. From that point forward, everything moved quickly and smoothly with excellent communications and a beautiful end result. I quickly learned that Daniel and his fabrication team are highly skilled, honest and upfront about everything (from what is possible, to timing, scheduling and pricing), and most of all, they stayed on top of the process from beginning to end. Their collective attention to detail, precise measurements, extra care while inside my home, and competitive pricing were also critical to me. As a result, I can confidently recommend DMK to anyone with quartz or stone projects large or small. (The word "integrity" comes to mind.) Not only is their team of fabricators and designers highly experienced, they are creative, talented and honest too--not an easy combination to find today. Bottom line? They earnestly strive to do a great job, take great pride in their work, and go the extra mile to make sure your projects are not only done well, but that you are thrilled with the results. I know I am, and look forward to not only recommending them to others, but working with them again. Choose carefully. These projects are pricey and an investment you will live with for a long time. Pick a fabricator you can trust. You won't regret choosing DMK! (A special thanks to Daniel, Ben, Dimitri, Alex, Vadim and all the others who were involved in making this a smooth, affordable, fun and pleasant experience that resulted in a number of stunning upgrades to my artful home!)
