We live in South East Aurora and our home was built in the late 1970s. What exceptional service and products! We were happy from our first encounter with the designer Ashleigh, Contractor Jamin and Ben Project Manager and the entire construction crew!! Great communication and response time really blew our minds! Plus they were very mindful not to leave dangerous items around because we have a little one. Construction started early February and during the sudden COVID 19 pandemic, the team took special precautions and we were very grateful of their response! We continued with our kitchen remodel and as of mid April our kitchen and family room were complete! We are happy we made the right decision to go with Colorado Homes and Design...they are exceptional!!! Thank you, The Baines Family

Kitchen Renovation - January-April 2023…read more Deciding to do a full kitchen renovation on our 1885 brick bungalow was an exciting decision for my wife and I to make after purchasing the home in the spring of 2022. With the current supply chain issues and labor shortages we knew that choosing the correct design/build firm was going to be the most important factor in this process for a successful outcome. During our initial meetings with Gina and Jamin (the Colorado Homes and Design/Earth Saving Solutions team) we quickly confirmed that we had chosen the right firm. As a retired executive chef, I had very specific requirements for our new kitchen. Gina took those ideas and presented us with a thoughtful design that incorporated an efficient layout with the premium materials we requested. As the project progressed we were very impressed with the emphasis on quality craftsmanship that Jose (project lead) and his team put into every aspect of our renovation, always making the extra effort to get it exactly right. When you are fully renovating a 135 year old space, you know that you are going to uncover some unexpected issues and we were certainly no exception. After some trail and error with our communication process, we dialed in our communication process between the whole team. We were able to navigate any and all issues quickly and move forward toward our project completion. From design to pre-con to final walk-through this team stepped up and made our dream kitchen a reality. For a renovation from simple to extensive, we would highly recommend Colorado Homes and Design/Earth Saving Solutions. Gina, Jamin and Jose exceeded all of our expectations. David and Deb

Several years ago, I stopped by the store on a whim and was able to get a sample piece of granite…read morefor the top of my fireplace. I paid for it on the spot, and they were able to get the guys out to measure and install it within a week or two. If you get up close, you can see where they didn't caulk it perfectly, but it was a good enough job and I was happy with how it looked and how fast it occurred. Fast forward to recently, I contacted them again, explained I was a repeat customer, and then asked them to help me with a stone cutting/quartz job in my bathroom. It took over two months to get a tech out to the house. The excuse was, we are really busy and we have scheduled work. I pointed out, I am a paying customer as well, I too deserve to be scheduled, not just told you'll fit me in when you can fit me in. Even after the tech came to measure, nobody got back to me, and when I finally reached out several times, they still had many of the same questions before the tech came over. I've had to send two, three, four emails to follow up. They don't seem to initiate contact, and they don't follow through. I don't know what's going on with their office but they seem really disorganized and unfortunately, I just can't keep waiting for them to ask me the questions to get organized to let me know if they can even do the job. My interactions with them over the last three months have been really disappointing. I just finally stopped reaching out to them.

All of the employees were very nice and courteous, but I had problems with their process and…read moreinitial results. As far as the process, it didn't appear as if the front office connected correctly with the estimator who didn't connect correctly with the installers: 1. Measurements left a corner open which was fixed with another piece inserted. 2. One side of the granite had an overhang, the other side was flush. 3. The sink was a 60/40 sink, but my garbage disposal was on the 60 side. 4. The dishwasher wouldn't close properly and I had to call them back on three separate occasions to correct it. Although all was corrected, it cost us both time and money. J&M purchased an additional slab to recut and install, and I had additional plumber expenses. Over a period of a couple of weeks everything was corrected. I love the granite and although there were additional expenses, I think I received the service at a good price.

From the demo, to the tile,…read moreto the fixtures and all the other parts, Gabriel was great at working with me and getting the job done. Even when I decided to change from a shower only to a bathtub installation, Gabriel was able to accommodate the change and adjust the work order without issue or hesitation. He did a great job installing the tile, and even went above and beyond when some floor tile needed to be removed from one area and added to another area to accommodate a vanity with less depth than the previous one. Installing all the new bathroom components, including a new toilet, vanity, tub, shower hardware and light figure were all done to perfection. Gabriel was very professional, clean and neat, stuck to the budget, and provided all receipts for the out of pocket items he purchased. As well, he was great at working with me to help make decisions when I wasn't sure what to do on certain things. I would definitely look to hire him again for future projects, and definitely recommend him for your home improvement project, especially if new tile is a part of it.

He stopped by, reviewed the project, and left, claiming he would get back ASAP. After a week, I contacted him to see how things were progressing.
