Betsy designed an amazing kitchen, oversaw the entire installation process and provided great trades which were professional and efficient. My kitchen turned out so well that my neighbors decided to go with Greenwood for their remodel too!

Neil was very apologetic and worked with us to get it corrected without issues but that was the only smooth communication we've had. During our final walk through, we noticed damaged cabinets with various scratches, chipped paint, and one cabinet frame in the kitchen was even broken. The builder got us in contact with Neil again to work with us to get it corrected from our inspection punch list. Neil came out to look at the cabinet, and said he would replace broken one right away and get the ones with damage touched up with paint. He took measurements then said he could expedite getting a new cabinet to replace the broken one. Fast forward a couple weeks, Neil called to say instead of replacing the cabinet, hes going to have someone else come to repair it. This was only the beginning of months of excuses and lack of response from his end. I ended up calling his business instead of his direct number in hopes to get some sort of communication for when the repairs would happen. I even started a spreadsheet listing all the times I reached out but never got a response, received an excuse, or got a promise that someone would call me back end of the day/next day but never did. Our first time contacting each other to get the broken cabinet replaced was September 1, 2023 and was told it would be replaced within 6 weeks. Then I was told it would be repaired (rather than replaced) before Christmas. I then reached out again 1/26, 2/1, then finally on 2/15 the cabinets were repaired. This isn't counting the numerous calls and texts from 9/2023-12/2023 with months of agonizing one-way conversations and calls with limited to no responses. Overall, I was disappointment by the lack of professionalism to respond and correct issues in a timely manner. What was supposed to be a couple month problem ended up dragging to almost half a year. We initially wanted to purchase a custom made kitchen island from Greenwood, but with a broken cabinet taking almost 6 months to fix, we opted to purchase it elsewhere.

One day walking by Kitchen tune-up I decided to stop by to ask for advice or help. Rachel gave me valuable advice , but Dan , another employee offered to glue together all 50 parts of the door. A few weeks later I got call that the door is ready. Whit great patience Dan solved the jigsaw puzzle of the door. After replacing repaired door I could not see any difference between the original and restore . Thanks to the Kitchen tune-up employees for your "old fashion" service , your willingness to help, and the great result of your work, which made me praise you , and recommend your company to those who are looking for the type of service you provide. They refaced our cabinets, replaced the doors, and installed a custom pantry. It came out to around $12K, which is about half what it would have cost to replace all the kitchen cabinets (they were in very bad shape). It took a long time for them to get the custom ordered parts but we were told in advance that this would be the case. It took around 7 months waiting for the materials, but we were aware of the timeframe in advance and agreed to wait. Once the parts arrived, the team of installers took 3 days to get everything done, and it looks amazing. They were professional and courteous, and cleaned up after themselves. We are very happy with the end result. If you have the time and money, I highly recommend using Kitchen Tune-up.

We went with Kitchens on Broadway after receiving a glowing recommendation from neighbors who had a great experience. Unfortunately, we later discovered that the designer they worked with had left the company, along with several other senior designers. We skipped doing our own homework and ended up regretting it. We paid a $1,200 design fee, and after six months--only after we had repeatedly asked for our money back--we finally received renderings and a layout that essentially copied a design we had already created ourselves using free online software and had provided to them three months earlier, so this was incredibly disappointing. Since then, we've done our own research and found several other reputable kitchen and bath designers in the Denver area who offer an initial design, budget estimate, and timeline before requiring any payment. Often being able to provide an initial design within 2 weeks. That level of transparency and professionalism made us realize how far off our experience here was. I strongly recommend doing your due diligence as there are better options out there.

I initially had a great experience with Jaime Langer and genuinely believe she has strong design…read moreskills. However, my overall experience with her ended in deep disappointment and frustration. If you choose to work with her, do not let her refer you to Hummingbird HRD (Crystal and Brian Mansanares), as that is where everything unraveled. Jaime first helped me after a Christmas morning plumbing disaster, and at the outset, she was fantastic--quick to respond, knowledgeable, and actively engaged in creating thoughtful layouts. Because things seemed to be going well, we also hired her for additional design work in our kitchen and living room. But when she referred us to Hummingbird as the general contractor, she stepped away entirely, leaving us in the hands of an inexperienced team that led to an overpriced, incomplete, and poorly executed renovation. Where Things Went Wrong Jaime and Crystal turned out to be personal friends rather than longtime collaborators, and our home was essentially a "guinea pig project"--a fact Jaime admitted only after things had gone terribly wrong. The staggering lack of professionalism from Hummingbird resulted in months of stress, wasted money, and a home that remains unfinished to this day. After Crystal declared the project "done" (despite glaringly poor workmanship), I asked Jaime to see the state of things herself. She agreed with me that the quality was unacceptable and even apologized for how badly things had turned out. She admitted that Crystal lacked the necessary experience and recognized that we had been unintentionally used as a test project. To make matters worse, she also told me, "Wow, I didn't realize you were so detail-oriented--I would feel exactly the same." As if they thought they could get away with subpar work and I wouldn't notice--truly insulting. Jaime's Final Disappointing Choice To her credit, Jaime convinced Crystal and Brian to attempt to fix their mess, but she ultimately abandoned the project. Despite personally acknowledging all the flaws, she later sent me a completely contradictory statement: "I have every faith in Hummingbird completing the project as promised, and overall, I believe they have done an exceptional job." This project was supposed to take 4-6 weeks starting in March--it was still dragging on in November, at which point I cut ties entirely because it was no longer worth the emotional toll. To this day, our home remains unfinished and cheap-looking, a painful reminder of the stress and financial loss we endured. What We Actually Got for Jaime's Fees After paying her design fees for both the bathroom and kitchen/living room, all we truly received was: * Layout options * A recommendation for Hummingbird (which proved disastrous) * Help selecting a kitchen table and rug Had we gone with a different general contractor, I might be writing a glowing five-star review. Unfortunately, given how this played out, I cannot recommend Jaime Langer at all.
