Earth Saving Solutions or should I say (Entirely Shitty Suggestions) is one of the worst roofing companies that I have ever delt with in the entire state of Colorado! These individuals are professional storm chasing con artist that are fueled by greed! On May 30th 2024 my house fell victim to a sever hailstorm in the Green Valley ranch area near DIA. The damage consisted of roof, siding, fence and windows. By word-of-mouth ESS came up as a company that a neighbor of mine was able to use and saved them a substantial amount of money. Over the course of a few days, I was able to line up contractors for estimates and ESS was my 2nd of three estimates that I was able to receive. Igor Zevin Jr. Who represented ESS was the person that came to my house and proceeded to do the estimate. After careful consideration I decided to entrust ESS with the project and wow what a mistake! This peace of shit of a person hired the cheapest contractors that he could find and inflate the price. I have never been more disappointed and angrier at a company. My gutter leaks every time it rains, and my fence is still fucked up till this day. To add to my frustration, not only did they cut corners but by pure coincidence I found out that a commercial promoting ESS using my house was on Igors Instagram page. . When I called this MAGA supporting SHIT bag out he claimed he didn't know what I was talking about. I was worried about it a good bit, and Steve was able to send his team out within two hours on a Friday night to mitigate and remedy the issue. Overall had a good experience and I'd recommend them. We had a bathroom and kitchen completely redone in a 1950s home. The timeline stretched significantly due to a family emergency with a contractor and I understand the need and situation. This obviously created strain and they worked to backfill with other contractors, and it added a lot of weeks. The quality of work was great compared to other companies I've hired. Post completion there were a couple of minor problems to resolve and they've all been completed. We're happy with the final and this was a much needed update to our ancient kitchen. read more

Colorado Homes and Design/Earth Saving Solutions made magic happen on our recent kitchen remodel. The pictures speak for themselves- the transformation is truly remarkable. This is a company that works together as a team to make the entire process as easy as possible for the homeowner and I truly cannot recommend them enough. We have an 1800s bungalow with a ton of quirks and their collective efforts made our dream kitchen a reality in a way we were told wasn't possible by other designers and contractors. From the first meeting with Jamin and Gina I could just tell that this was exactly the type of company we needed to do our kitchen renovation. Gina, our wonderful designer, worked closely with me to provide multiple iterations of the design and cabinet options until we landed on our perfect kitchen design. She also did such a great job exactly identifying our style and helping select materials that matched with it perfectly. She went above and beyond in her communication with us and was always so kind, understanding and willing to pivot and adjust as we worked through all the design steps together. Jamin did an excellent job ensuring there was a clear through line between the design and then actually being able to make it happen. His title says sales but he really is a man who does it all and thinks about every part of the process. From making sure I was clear on the impact that moving the plumbing would have on a wall downstairs to literally getting in there and fixing a plumbing issue upstairs that, had he not identified the problem, could have caused my entire kitchen downstairs to be ruined by a flooded upstairs bathroom. And to be clear, the upstairs bathroom was not at all a part of the kitchen work but is a great example of how this company will go above and beyond. Brian, our project manager, held our hands through the entire process and made it so that anytime an issue would arise we could breath easy knowing that somehow he would magically just take care of it. I can't even imagine the amount of hours he put in working with the various contractors and subcontractors that came through our house and triple checking to make sure everything was exactly what we had planned for in the design. We never once had to take off from work to meet with someone because Brian did it all and we just got to come home at the end of the day and see the amazing work that Jose, the main contractor, and his team had done. Brian kept us in the loop with constant communication over text which was perfect for our busy work schedules and always put us at ease. I can't count the number of times I told someone how little stress I felt because I knew Brian would handle everything... which he always did! As for cost, CHD/ESS was so willing to work with me to get what I wanted on my budget. They gave me honest opinions and options but never pushed a product because it was a higher cost. It was clear they really wanted to do right by me and had a high level of integrity in determining what would work with my budget. They were transparent with every line item which is not something that all companies do. We will definitely be using this fabulous team again if we ever decide to do more work in the future. When I first interviewed Earth Saving Solutions / Colorado Home and Design at my home, they had their designer there with a tablet and were able to on the spot come up with a preliminary design for my kitchen. That impressed me. I have not seen any other contractor do that. Their pricing was quite reasonable as compared with other potential contractors that I was evaluating. They estimated that it would take them 6 to 8 weeks to do the entire job. So I was expecting the job to be completed by the 08/19/19. So I went with them. The scope of the work was to redo the entire kitchen and a half bathroom, all under the same solid oak wood floor, which they would also resurface, and also replace a few doors. Work began on the 06/24/19 with the demolition of the old kitchen, which took two days to do. Cabinet installation was carried out between the 06/27 & 06/29 (4.8 stars). Two of the upper cabinet bottoms were warped, and Andrew, the Project Manager took note of it and promptly placed an order for replacement cabinets. The cabinets were scheduled to be delivered on the 08/04/19 (5 stars, later dropped to 2.5 stars). After that, the momentum seemed to slow down greatly. Countertop template was done on 07/04. Electrical on 07/10. Kitchen drywall on 07/19, and the kitchen lights on 07/23. Now I understand that progress could not go further on the kitchen until the quartz counter was fabricated and ready to be installed, which finally happened 07/30, but that is still less than 4 days-worth of work that had been done over a period of 20 days where things unrelated to the kitchen could have been done, such as installing the front door and garage fire door (5 stars on the small jobs they did do, 3 stars for the unused time). The countertop itself and the quality of the work in installing it was excellent (5 stars). Pace picked up for the short term here. Tile backsplash installed on 07/31 (5 stars). The sink plumbing was installed that same day as well (4 stars). Half bathroom demolished 08/01. Momentum was maintained when they installed the new front door and installed dishwasher and corrected an error in sink plumbing on 08/05. Kitchen walls were painted on 08/06 and half bathroom cabinet was installed on 08/07 (5 stars). The tile backsplash was grouted on 08/12 (5 stars), oak wood floor was sanded and countertop template made on 08/15. The wood floor 1st coating was on 08/19 and 2nd second coating on 08/20 (4 stars). The job was now 80% done. With no range installed yet and family visiting, Andrew, the Project Manager, stepped up to the plate and came in on a Sunday (08/24) to try to install the range, but a licensed electrician was needed to rewire the range's electrical outlet, which was done the next day and the appliances were installed the day after. So big kudos on going that extra mile (5 STARS). But after that, momentum completely died. The toilet was installed on 09/13. The half bathroom countertop was installed on 09/16 but it had the wrong sink in it. (5 stars for a nicely made countertop, 0 stars for the wrong sink in the wrong color). I opted for the same sink but in the right color to save time, which they ordered (4 stars for promptly ordering replacement sink). They were talking about wrapping up the job by the end of September. If it had been that, I'd have been okay with it. A month delay was not too bad, but it dragged on way longer than that. Light fixture and mirror were installed 09/26, fire door by 09/27, and the drywall patched on 10/07, but that was about it. Over those two months, less than 7 days worth of work had been done until I met with Andrew on 10/19 and chastised him about the lack of progress (0 stars for nearly two months with little work done). Pace did pick up after that and half bathroom was finally completed on 10/31. Around that time, I found out that one of my two replacement cabinets, which had been delivered in August, was the wrong one (-2.5 stars from original replacement cabinet order in August). Aside from that, final trim was finished off on 11/08, and replacement cabinets were finally installed on 01/02/20 after several delays and incorrect deliveries. So considering all the good with the bad, and averaging all my ratings for the different things they did, I give them 3.5 stars. Despite all the delays and setback though, Earth Saving Solutions did finally come through and completed the job and did it well, taking responsibility for mistakes and going that extra mile when needed. I am happy to say that I now have a very nice kitchen and half bathroom that I hope to enjoy for many years to come. And if they are true to their word that they will fix the last little issues as part of their warranty, I'll bump up their rating to 4 stars. read more

I did not hire ESS, they were subcontracted through a big box store. My small kitchen (total-remodel) took six months to complete from the day I paid-in-full (April 27) until the day I signed the certificate of completion. The start day of actual work was June 25 and today is October 29. I was out of my kitchen for 10 weeks. To their credit, they finished the job, responded to every challenge and issue on a prompt basis and didn't quit until it was completed to my satisfaction. They also threw in a freebie or two to help keep me calm. The lesson here is to check out your contractor and make sure they can handle your job in a reasonable timeframe. read more
