I rented the cutest cottage type place in Brighton from this management company. It has been the…read moremost peaceful place I've lived since moving to Colorado. The inside of this unit is completely remodeled and just beautiful! It is a very quiet community within these two buildings. I am pretty sensitive to loud noises and you can't hear a thing if the windows are closed. The railroad tracks close to my unit are rarely used and when they are it is a slow transport for moving the locomotive, I rather enjoyed hearing the occasional train. The management company is responsive and helpful but like any good renter, we have to do our part too. If you like your car getting stolen, dumpster full of trash all the time, consistent last minute…read morewater shut offs with no explanation, trash in the yard, leaks from the roof or any maintenance requests that aren't fixed right away.. then this is the place for you! As soon as we moved in we were told that this place was "newly renovated". That is a lie. They just paint over the walls and rent it out to the next person. On our door we had a "misfits" sticker that wasn't taken off. The apartment wasn't even cleaned the day we moved in. The A/C didn't work ( which doesn't cool the house at all btw) and we had a broken dishwasher for the first 3 months of living there. We had a window that was broken, fridge with no drawers, and cabinets that had so much water damage. We also had people come to look at our house without any notice whatsoever. No email or flyer on our door. They wouldn't answer my calls either. Deerwoods response was "we thought we let you know". That made us feel like our personal space was invaded and no one cared. Every time I made a maintenance request it took forever for someone to come out and most of the time it wasn't properly fixed. 2 months before we moved out the ceiling caved in with water and soon became moldy. They covered it up and called it good. We had to move out early and STILL PAY RENT!!! We were afraid we'd get sick. Not good living conditions. But they don't care, all they want is your money! The list could go on.. This place never felt like home. Deerwoods management is a waste of your money. Don't rent from them! I consider myself very nice and understanding but this place was downright awful!!! I would love if the owner or manager could contact me. I don't want to ever talk to anyone in the office again; as they avoided me and are so rude. I plan on taking deerwoods to court.
