We have now completed 3 home transactions with David, and the rest of the Schlichter team, and the experience has been fantastic each time. We bought our first home in Denver with David back in 2016. We were living on the other side of the country at the time, and put in the offer sight unseen. The purchase went very well, David was a huge help, very knowledgable, and a great negotiatior on our behalf. Five years later, we were looking to upsize our place. In the meantime, the Schlichter Team had upsized as well, and we met Tom Pitzer, a buyer's agent who had joined David's team. Tom is great. He was super patient as we went all over the front range, trying to find the perfect house, from Erie to Evergreen to Castle Rock, and everything in between. For over a year, we saw at least a dozen different houses, and submitted a couple of offers. Not being cash buyers, we were at a disadvantage, but Tom did everything he could to make our offers as appealing as possible. We finally found the perfect place, and Tom did a fantastic job negotiating the purchase, in this increadibly competative market. The sellers were a little....finicky, and Tom did a great job helping us deal with them and their agent. We were able to negotiate a final price over $100k *under* asking price, which is pretty unheard of in 2021. Once we were under contract, it was time to sell our house, and David was back on the scene as our selling agent. Full review: We worked with Tom for many months for our very specific house hunt in the very hot Denver market. He was always early for showings, quick to communicate with us, and provided us with timely updates after we put in offers. After seeing how challenging the market was, we almost offered on a house that we weren't very enthusiastic about. Tom noticed this in our voices and advised us against offering because it wasn't the right fit for us, even though our offer likely would have won. This is a sign of true integrity and customer service in a real estate agent, and we are so grateful for his guidance and care. As a result, we later ended up in a phenomenal property that checked all of our boxes, under list price. As sellers, David (and his colleague Lauren!) were a dream to work with.
