Randy came over, took one look at this challenge and made a recommendation to increase the amount of the floor to be tiled. Once he did that, I could finally visualize how the floor would look and I said yes to his ideas. Besides the wood floor in the kitchen, the kitchen island was an absolute horrendous eyesore and after 23 years, the cabinets were starting to disentigrate. Randy had to work with what was there in order to avoid electrical problems. I wanted something that added a wow factor to the kitchen. See the before and after pictures. Randy gave us an estimate of 6 weeks. He finished 3 days early and the 6 weeks flew right by because there was someone working every day, so we saw progress every day. There were minor problems along the way, big surprise, Randy and his crew addressed them immediately. Randy made some suggestions that I wasn't too sure about, but, those suggestions made all the difference in the world, giving our kitchen a clean, solid finish. I knew going into this that the kitchen remodel would be expensive. In the reviews I found for this company, they had a lot of positive reviews and one negative. Michelle responded to the complaint rather than blowing off the client. Her response to that negative review gave me a bit more confidence in a company I knew nothing about. Taking out wood floors and putting in tile is an expensive and nerve wracking undertaking. For this amount of money, I was nervous about finding someone who would do the job at the quoted cost, in the quoted amount of time and have the end results that I wanted, which is a fantastic looking kitchen and user friendly, and no more hardwood floors in the kitchen. After connecting with Simply Floors early 2026 because of the shredding carpet and after a couple of inspections and coordination with the manufacturer of the carpet, I now have the replacement installed (June 1, 2026). The installation was a good process this time and the carpet will most likely hold up very well. Good installation, done within a reasonable time frame and confirmation of details beforehand was achieved. Would have given 5 stars if this was how it went in the beginning. Although I wouldn't recommend one company over another, I would recommend solid communication with all involved, especially with the install crew and company together so everyone is on the same page from the beginning and not just futile lip service. Follow-up inquiries are also important. Would I work with this company again---probably, since they came through with corrections.

He also installed new MDF for the stair risers (not painted yet in photo since they don't handle painting). Floor has no creaks in the rooms/hallway and looks beautiful. Pricing was fair and the best I could find in the area, and they were good about removing the costs for anything I handled myself (I removed old carpet and LVP, etc.) even though there were a handful of staples I wasn't able to pull myself from the stair risers. Just one word of warning, make sure you measure your floor space yourself--their measurements for the work were off by about 50 square feet, which would have made a big difference in the number of boxes of material I had to purchase. I think this was probably accidental from them including the bathrooms but given that _every_ floorer I spoke to provided inaccurate estimates it's best to just do the measuring/math yourself.

After ordering it online, I received a notification that it was ready for pickup, but store staff advised it would not arrive for another 7-10 days. During the same visit, another tile was listed as having over 5,000 pieces available, while store staff indicated only about 400 could be found. The conflicting inventory and pickup information resulted in multiple unnecessary trips and significant time lost during an active home renovation project. Customers and store associates appear to be working with inaccurate information. This system needs to be fixed and in the meantime, there needs to be a notice on the website that the system is down.
